ChasePlane Support

First, thanks for the nice software. But, in the pmdg 737 the turns became kind of hexagonal instead of nicely curved. A 180 turn becomes steep turn 30 degrees, straight flight, 30 degrees steep turn, straight flight etc. This both using fmc or fly without autopilot. The plane rolls, the yaw comes in phaces. System is P3D v3.3. thanks, Richard.

Hi, Is there a way to import or copy existing camera positions into CP without needing to reconfigure them? Every aircraft usualy comes with several preconfigured VC camera positions (e.g FO, pedestal etc.). For most part, I'm quite happy with them and would like to use them as CP presets as well. so, how do I go about it? Thanx //Mike

All because case plane is so good and easy to use. The one thing I like above all else is that you can make a view and need another that's similar e.g. You want to pan to the right in the VC. You have your #1 VC view then you can have another button for lets say pan to right, you can make as many as you want and use the same button for all of them. Just press and it goes to next view. Also e.g. for FMC you can have a view for left FMC and right FMC and save them to the same button and you just flick from one to the other. Love Chase plane.

Just upgraded today and have some new problems. 1) The onscreen menu that appears when you hold down the center mouse button now appears at the top right portion of my screen, with the round selector knob in the 0,0 position. Therefore I can't see the left half or top of the menu. Also appears there is no way to drag it to a new position. Also, my EZDOK imported presets for the F1 T182 no longer work. Some other issues, but I'm going to start deleting and installing ChasePlane again. Ernie

Has anyone tried using Chaseplane with either default VR or FlyInside? I do most of my flying in VR now but am looking for something to manage views better. Was wondering if this might work? If it works I see tons of possibilities, swapping between Captain and FO seats, wing views, spot views ect.

Could you please tell me were to find my profiles I have made, would like to back them up. Thank you.

Every time I press Ctrl-Shift-F12 to call up the GSX menu, Chaseplane jumps the view to under the aircraft, but looking through the structure, and takes a screen shot. How do I stop this annoying behaviour as I cannot find any settings for it to change? Regards Jim Mclean

I am running P3Cv3.3.5 and CP is v0.1.622. This is the 3rd aircraft I have added to CP and each time I get this error -- "Aircraft misconfigured We have fixed a configuration issue with this aircraft to make it work with ChasePlane. Please reload the aircraft or relaunch the simulator for views to work properly." Why do I keep getting this? Is it the normal right now at this stage in development? What kind of changes did it make to my aircraft.cfg or other sim files? Thanks, Jerry

Hey all, I've noticed recently a camera tilt effect and an involuntary zoom effect down with my current version. And some times a camera jump. What gives? I set up presets for inside and outside views on my Majestic Dash8 and am in the middle of my first flight with ChasePlane. All of my views I set up are working with TrackIR except one. It is an outside preset and if I look around I can go up, down, right but it is stuck at the nose if I try to go left. All of the other presets outside and inside work just fine in all directions. I have looked around in the settings and so far have nothing different about this one from the others that are working correctly. I have my cockpit views for the PMDG 737 assign to the numpad keys, working fine However, if I want to key in figures into the FMC, the views also change which is a bit annoying

Since in the past I had problems with the XBOX wireless controller (interferes with my wi-fi, killing my internet connection) and as there are a lot of excellent gamepad controllers available (wireless, of course, e.g. the Logitech F710) I'd like to know if they will work fine with CHPL too.

Hi all, So I get a very stuttery FPS/lag when I move the camera around in the VC of the PMDG 747 V3 with the middle mouse button. I only have this in the PMDG 747 V3 and only in the VC. Anyone know how to fix this? Really breaks the immersion... Thanks in advance! EDIT: when using FSX default looking around (SPACE + mouse movement) I do NOT have this lag.

I made some presets inside plane and out the plane yesterday. When I started CP today got the update. Not all of the presets were there for my plane. Not sure what I did wrong but I thought CP saved them on the hard drive and when I went to another livery of the same plane I could import them into the new livery. But the ones I made did not show only the first three. Eddie

I am often at a location where internet drops every now and then for a few second and each time lose ChasePlane. Is there a way to solve this problem ?

Hello, While using the cinematic view, 80% of the shots for me only have half of my plane or less in them. Most of the time I see the bottom of the body at the top of my screen. Is there any way to adjust where cinematic view thinks the plane is? Or is this normal behavior? Examples: http://imgur.com/a/hmogX

I like to fly in full screen mode, mainly so I dont have my desktop on show etc... and am fed up with editing my screenshots to remove all surrounding borders. So when I enter full screen, I seem to loose all functionality of my view selections (yet to assign keyboard commands, so unsure if this will fix the issue) but the one item I seem to have trouble with is zoom. I'm using Alpha Exp V0.1.622.

I'd like to use ChasePlane when flying with a 2D cockpit, but it doesn't work correctly for me. (Obviously, it doesn't make sense to use ChasePlane inside the 2D cockpit, but I'd like to use it for outside views.) When I switch from the 2D cockpit to an outside view (using the ChasePlane interface) and then back again (using the menu entry Views / View Mode / Cockpit / Cockpit), I find that the viewpoint of the 2D cockpit is offset from the correct position by about 10 or 20 meters. This only started recently where chaseplane would load fine but when I spawned in all my presets show that they are working but chaseplane won't change to those views and I can't pan around with the middle mouse click button. If anyone has a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated. I'm using v0.1622 Alpha of chaseplane and P3D V3.4 with Hotfix3.

At the moment there are lot of neat features, adjustments and different ways to use CP. But I would like to add a couple of ideas that I'd love too see in this nice camera software. I have no idea if this is even possible, so forgive me if I'm asking too much! 1. Switching between presets would leave the sim in focus. I know this is old one, just a reminder. Most of us who use 2 monitor setups would benefit. 2. Ability to use "[" key for another window and to control it with CP. For me it could be fixed to outside views only. That way we could have a very nice taxi camera. PMDG gave it with 777 release, but then it got removed. Or anything similar via CP would be great! …

Hello, I am having a huge problem with chaseplane where for a while chaseplane works perfectly i go idle for a short time and i cant move in every direction. I cant change views unless i go to the main screen where my views are they work but a very laggy. This happens with all my aircraft. I cant look in a different direction either. Thanks
