ChasePlane Support

I have CP on my e: SATA drive and can see in Process Lasso that it's doing about 69 mbps io on it (constant drive chattering) and causing a bit of slow down in P3D from time to tine. What causes that and how can I reduce it?

I noticed that when sitting at Ray Smith's KAUS that I if I select Helipad 2, which is only partially visible that I no longer have access to the 17L button. This could be solved by increasing the width of the 'Static' column, but I can't seem to figure out how. Same if I increase the visibility. There are airports which are off to the right of the list I can't access.. Ernie

I just installed ChasePlane and rith away noticed two things; 1) default zoom changed from 0.60 to 1.00 and the scanning with the hat switch is slower. I will eventually figure out how to get back to my prefered 0.60 zoom, but in the immediate I would like to return control of the hat switch back to FSX. I find it is faster with FSX versus FSUIPIC and now ChasePlane. Any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks, Ernie

Hello, It would be nice to have a camera option that's says: Force view at aircraft center... Now all the outside views are centered from the camera position. With this option Chaseplane would replace the 'Spotplane' view... Or... Is this option already somewhere and am I missing it? Thank you, Marc Nieuwhof

Hello, Whenever I place my mouse cursor over a turning knob (which can use mouse scroll to turn), with zoom ON, it will turn both the knob and the zoom in/out at the same time. Is there a way to make it so that when I place mouse cursor over a turning knob, it will momentary disable zoom function? Nothing serious, just want to know if it can be done. And reading the updates log, I see that the "Chaseplane shut down with FSX:SE" has been fix, but after closing FSX:SE I still have to manually close Chaseplane, or else I can not start FSX:SE. Is it still in development or just mine that does not work? Cheers. Hoang Le

Hi there, yesterday I finally got my Xbox 360 wireless controller. Plugged it in, assigned some axes and observed a pretty weird issue. As soon the plane is loaded in P3D 3.4 the zoom will automatically go back to 0.30. If I press the defined keyboard button for that view it happens again, every time with every view I set up (on-board and outside). Meaning the view loads with the zoom level of around 0.87 I created it with and then gradually zooms out to 0.30 within seconds. This behavior remains even when I remove all the Xbox assignments. All captains! Before I installed Chaseplane, the default viewpoint of FSX kept changing the VC viewpoint when I made turns either on ground and in the sky. I found a way to disable to move the VC viewpoint, then It worked. Unfortunately I don't remember How I did disabled it. Every single minutes when I fly with Chaseplane, my VC viewpoint keeps changing. Well I can fix it during flights. But It's kind of annoying. Anyone experiences the issue? if anyone solve the issue with using Chaseplane, please help me!

I'm very interested in chaseplane, and I think I'll be picking it up eventually because I find the default P3D camera system so restrictive after using XPlane's. I just have a question before I do so: Can the middle mouse button look function be reassigned to a different button? I find using the right mouse button to look around and reseving the middle button for zooming to be much more natural.

Hello, I don't know if it is CP issue but since I installed GSX I having a strange issue. Any time I start to move the aircraft (start of push back,,,start of taxiing...etc...) the aircraft shakes violently for a couple of seconds and then it returns smooth. Again, this started to happen since I installed GSX, but since on the same day and before I could do any flight after GSX installation there was an autoupdate of the CP experimental (yesterday, so CP version before the last), I don't know who is generating the problem. It happened on FSLA320 and NGX. I will do further testing today with GSX disabled and will let you know. Regards Ezio

Hi!! Decided to clean up my pc today, and did a full reistall of windows 10, latest prepar3d etc. After installing vfx central, and the Chaseplane through vfx, it will not start. Creates an empty crash log file on my desktop. Any1 have the solution to this? Freddy

Hi Keven, Really enjoying Chaseplane so far! I do have a minor issue, however. In P3d, the red label on the top right corner of the screen comes on when changing windows or making a change to certain settings such as the zoom level and then disappears after a few seconds. In Chaseplane, this label is generally always on. It sometimes disappears briefly but turns back on within seconds without me making any changes. I know that I can turn the label off permanently in the General P3d settings, but I do like to have it on to see the zoom level when I've made a change or to see the time acceleration rate when using the autocruise feature on some PMDG planes. How to disable chaseplane starts with windows, even though I have already unchecked in preferences (auto-launch is grey ), but it still starts with windows, I want to start chaseplane manually by clicking on the Icon of chase plane.

Hello, I'm probably doing something wrong here but I am unable to paste camera settings. I press either the copy button or CTRL+C and get the menu of what I want to copy. I only want to copy the transition options, so I deselect everything else and leave the "Transition" option selected with the green icon. I then press the copy button in the top right of the window. I will then switch the view to a different camera and press the Paste button (Dashed circle upper left, solid circle bottom right) and nothing happens at all. Pressing CTRL+V also does nothing. I decided to brush up on some taildraggers with a view to maybe compete in the upcoming round the world race. (needed a fighter so I opted for the A2A mustang ... So sweet!) Those fixes are temporary. We plan on working with other developers to make ChasePlane compatible without having to modify configuration files. Hi, I love the panorama feature of Chase Plane. I would also like to request to add the internal cockpit views(user configurable) which the user has set up, to be added to this feature. This is similar to the pilot checking the instruments periodically.This can help if the user is working on something else on the same computer or doing something of his own..He can look at the cockpit views presented in the panorama to figure if everything is well.He needn't wear his track ir to go check for any issues . Hello guys, I can't figure out how can I put my joystick HAT to work with chase plane. In controls page I've tried to set in Tilt up, Tilt down and it doesn't work propely, I can pan left and right in spot view but can't look up and down..

Hi All, I just recently converted to Chase Plane from an older and somewhat temperamental EZDok v1.18. All looks great so far, however I am having an issue with the mouse look function, I have it set to pan/tilt middle mouse button on, but it doesn't seem to function? I have experiemental mode on and I have been trying for the last hour to get it to work. I have set up all the other controls, ie arrow keys to move around etc and they all work fine, also the middle mouse button does work to bring up the menu, I thought this may be a conflict but even after disabling that function it still didn't work. Whenever I freeze/pause my TrackIR, the view returns to the default VC view before pausing. For example, if I am looking at the center console and want to freeze the view on TrackIR, instead of freezing the current view, I get sent back to the left seat forward view before freezing. Todd

Hi all Got an issue that has suddenly appeared that I cannot seem to fix background is this I have recently purchased an occulus rift which comes with an xbox 360 controller,so having never tried to use this way to change my views I thought I would give it a bash,and still plan to. However I couldnt control the speed very well so I wrongly assumed that this may have something to do with the panning I use on my x55 stick,so I deleted the buttons for panning under the controls of the preferences. I have trackir installed, and start P3D and select Trackir in my advanced settings yet the trackif software wont detect CP. Yes i can go under titles and see FSFX under supported titles.
