ChasePlane Support

Hi Keven- I've got a bit of a catch 22 here. XtremePrototypes Lear won't load and crashes P3D due to some issue with Chaseplane. It had been running fine up until today. I know this as I've disable both exes in the Program Files/Old Prop folder and the Lear loads fine. So, if I can't get the plane to load, I can't remove the offending presets that must be causing the problem :>) So, can the presets for this AC be cleared on your side? Or reinstall? Thanks, Mark

Hello! Thank you for the very nice camera tool! Using it only for the first day and it is awesome, intuitive and very handy, even in its alpha state. So far it runs like a charm. I have one question and one request, if I may... I am using v0.1.553 with FSX:SE. I have TrackIR as well, but so far haven't tried using both together. Question: I saw some videos, where guys were using AIRCRAFT section in the left hand menu. My version of CP has it inactive (grey). However, looks like CP detects chosen aircraft automatically and loads presets correctly. Obviously it is intended so? Or I have done something wrong? Still loving ChasePlane so thanks guys. I'd love an option to resize the window though. With 4K monitors especially, it seems pointless to have such a small app window and have to use a scroll bar rather tan to see it all at once. Keep up the great work. Regards Kym

Is it possible to toggle the In Simelcor View with something with some other controll than the mousewheel? I thing using the mousewhwl is a lite bit jerky. I want to asign a button instead. /Thomas

Hi, I belong to the "people who can't stand the software they are currently using" :wink: so I bought ChasePlane! I created 2 onboard camera presets for my PMDG777. 1) I saw that it is possible to assign a keyboard shortcut for Previous Preset, Next Preset... but is it possible to assign a shortcut to each preset? 2) Also is it possible to smooth the transition between 2 presets? I have Alpha 1.560 experimental

Hi Kev, All the transition work file with both keyboard and hat switch (binds to joystick) when the Chaseplane menu is open, but when I minimize it, keyboard shortcuts work file but with hatswitch all the transitions disappear and the views just switch without any smooth movements. Any ideas why?

when I am trying to select camera view with my joystick..... On-Board views it misses out my 1st and last Preset views. But I can open the the main screen and click on them and they change.

Hi guys! I'm using Alpha Experimental since yesterday (currently at 0.1.545v) and I'm loving it. But just to give you science, I want to relate two events: 1. first, the bad one. My external cameras are not working throught the shortcuts. I can select "external view" and the navigate throught the cameras. But I can't select one particularly ( for exemple Crtl+Shft+1 for one especific camera). I have re-created the shortcuts, but I did not succeed. 2. second, the good one. Clipmode=minimum Is not appropriate for VC views. It's a cheap trick to improve FPS in the VC but the end result is a bunch of flashing textures and Z-fighting in the scenery outside the VC. Clipmode = minumum is for OUTSIDE views of the aircraft where the scenery is not the main focus but the aircraft is, as it clips the textures in a very short bubble around the aircraft. Can you guys please remove this setting from your camera view it is not right per the SDK. It's really bad with ORBX scenery.I'm really shocked that you guys copied this hack from Ezdok. it is not good. Hello, Just bought Chaseplane and trying to figure it out. One thing I have noticed (I have searched for it but couldnt find anything here, so I am sorry if this was addressed before) is the VAS usage figures. Process Explorer says I have used 1.9 GB of VAS while Chaseplane says it is 2.9. That is a big difference. Am I reading something wrong here? Thanks..

Somehow I have tilt up binding to a button used for elevator trim. The binding does not show in the CP GUI. This makes for some interesting hand flying :mad: Can I just uninstall CP and reinstall to get rid of this unwanted binding?

Greetings to all. CPU Affinity no longer works? I do not see the kernels and dynamic affinity can not be turned on / off. This happens to me in both the normal and experimental versions. Thank you very much.

Hi guys! I recently got chaseplane... I am very impressed and happy to say it is money well spent. I have issues with the Aerosoft Airbus and was reading the topic regarding aerosoft issues. My issue is that if I am in internal view the view would revert to main panel glareshield. This meant that all my views were shifted to the right and misaligned. I would go to the cockpit view (chaseplane) and the views would fit. If I switch to external view and revert back or if I open another window it would revert back to main panel glareshield and force me to go in the menu bar and change it back. I really enjoy this piece of software:) Just one little question: With the early versions it has been possible to set a certain CPU affinity. With the current version 0.1.83 the affinity is locked to the affinity mask setting in the p3d.cfg, when i enable autostart in the chaseplane preferences. So, the simulator and chaseplane use the same cores, which is not very useful in terms of performance:) When i uncheck the autostart with the simulator, all CPU cores are available for chaseplane, but the software won't safe given cores to run on for the next start. Hello all, I have just bought ChasePlane and I cannot maneuver around the UI within P3D. I was told by someone that all you need to do after opening the UI with the middle mouse, is use the scroll wheel to change between on-board, outside, and static or between things on the left side as well. My scroll wheel does not seem to do anything. The same person told me that if I hold down space and use the mouse and it works, then ChasePlane hasn't installed correctly. So my issue may have something to do with the installation but I can't figure out what it is. I am running P3D v3.4 with FSUIPC. Thanks, Alec

Is there a way to setting up all my cameras for let's say the PMDG 737-800 where I can transfer my settings for the one plane to all of my other liveries of the same plane instead of doing each one individually.

Hi all- I have three Dell 27's set to wide aspect view. In the VC the loaded zoom factor is .50 This is too far out. How do I change this to .8 ~ .9 and have it stick? Thanks, Mark

I seem to have my cameras set up properly. The buttons on the joystick control the cockpit cameras and some keys control the exterior cameras. I can go to the cockpit cameras but from there can not go to the exterior. Do I need to set up a key from something else before making the transition?

Had to reset my fight 3 times, aka about 1 wasted as my plane in static mode decided to jump about 1500ft and outside view decided to endlessly spin my camera. I would suppose the best solution is to disable experimental mode.

For the last few updates, Chaseplane either gets stuck on the splash screen or says unexpected error, (timed out), and it is really frustrating, I am on the experimentals, help?

It is natural human behavior to look in the direction you are going. So, if you make a left turn, you look to the left. I think it would be a nice feature if ChasePlane could imitate this.

I've grown accustomed to EZDOC over the years. In EZDOC I was assigning keys to my external cameras and all of my buttons to inside the cockpit. Can we do the same thing with Chase Plane and if not is that set up planned sometime in the future? Right now if I'm in the pilot's seat and want to go to the overhead I have to cycle through the other cameras to get to it. Thank's in advance.
