ChasePlane Support

I had already commented this issue somewhere else but since it is still happening I decided to post here. This only happens in the Experimental version. My view glitches and shakes like crazy as soon as I try to pan using the mouse or hatswitch. Have the devs been able to replicate this? Thank you! EDIT: The video title says 0.1.503 but it still happens in 0.1.516

I'm having a bit of a problem trying to assign key combinations in ChasePlane 1.5. I'm able to correctly assign key combos for my views, for example if Shift + Numpad 4. But when i press Shift + Numpad 4 in the sim nothing happens. I checked inside of Flight Sim to see if the key combo was already in use and it wasn't. Worked perfectly in 0.1.91.

Just updated to the latest experimental build - All those new features look awesome. However it just wont work for me. Chaseplane is constantly throwing up "Aircraft Misconfigured" ive restarted chaseplane and flight sim like it says but still the same, regardless of what aircraft I try and use. Chaseplane has become sluggish I cant move my views at the moment either - But I believe that has something to do with the Misconfigured message Thanks Liam

Dear Friends, My CP v.0.1.93 was working fine with script from vJoy to turn on TrackIr. Since I have downloaded the v0.1.519, it shows a warning "Aircraft Misconfigured....." requesting me to change the plane or restart P3d to work fine, but I tried all possibilities without any response from CP with TrackIr. Obviously that I am not loading vJoy to this new version. Does anybody knows what a have to do? Thanks, Dani

Hi Keven, I noticed with the latest update that if I use the mouse as yoke and then press the scroll wheel to look around this now moves the aircraft controls unpredictably. Prior to this update, if I had mouse as yoke enabled I could look around without any effect on the controls. Hope that makes sense. Using FSX SE & latest experimental of chaseplane. Thanks.

Hi is it possible that chase plane could be bringing up this error? there is only two things new i have installed recently and thats Chaseplane and also TFDI 717, i have reinstalled drivers reinstalled windows and also reinstalled p3d from full installations v3.4.18, V3.4.14, i now have v3.3.5 now installed. now i'm recieveing (Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.) in the event viewer after a crash in p3d. windows 10 64 bit here also i'm using chaseplane alpha 1.5

Hi, I switched to the experimental Version and after the Update to Version 0.1.516 I have a CTD after start from ChasePlane. Log: Exception maxJsonLength to long! Can someone tell me, how I can switch back to the non experimental version? I deinstalled ChasePlane and install it again, but after start it just install again the version 0.1.516 with the same problem. Thanks. Jürgen

P3D version 3.4.14.18870 Not responding at all I'm afraid And this is showing in the UI after typing debug1. EDIT: added a bigger screenshot.

If I pause TrackIR, which may sometimes be desireable, (or putting the tracking thingy attached to my head on the desk or similar), the view is not reset, but rather points to the floor or in some other awkward direction. In EzDok there was an option to have the view reset if no connection with TrackIR for a specified number of seconds. Is there a similar option in ChasePlane that I didn't manage to find? If not, I would really like to suggest this as a future improvement.

Hello First of all i have to say that i love chase plane! Now to my problem, When i active the cinematic mode the camera switches to the outside view "top down". The same appears when i want to make outside cameras. Theres no way i can do it because it also changes to the "top down" view. Can someone help? just bought and installed chaseplane; after install systems tells: unable to find P3Dv2 files, please start at least once the simulator : no effect, it cannot find p3dv2 files, but i have v3 ! what do do, because views are changing each second now, very frustrating. Read about deleting cameras.cfg and reinstall, now even worse, chaseplane cannot find cameras.cfg, altough it should be automatically rebuild after restarting P3D (system w10 i6700 GTX980) Please do not try to seduce simmers to buy products that are not ready for the market yet refund please ?

Hi all, Using ChasePlane v0.1.506, I am still experiencing unresponsiveness with the camera system, although seemingly only in the Just Flight Tornado. I have tried restarting the sim; ChasePlane doesn't say AC Misconfigured or anything, and CP is connected to FSX. Any fix/help appreciated. Max

Is it possible to use ChasePlane also in a second window I open? Currently I can't change any views or select presets etc.

I must be missing something, as I cannot work out how to set these up. Camera > Advanced. You have Global > Keyboard > Controller >???? > Mouse. I have the movement (left, right, back, forward, turn) mapped to buttons on my SAITEK Yoke. So if I want to set 'Speed in one camera to 1.45 and in another camera to 0.8, how do I do that. What's the ICON to the left of the mouse for? Thanks Clive

Hello all Just took the plunge..bought Chase and you know how it is hard to change from what you know!! Anyhow...setting up my xbox windows controller and the lower 2 buttons don't seem to register?? Any suggestions please.. Thanks in advance

Can't seem to get this working, Tried a flight at FL340 and left it, view stayed set to onboard, was using Aerosoft A320 and had Proatcx running, not sure if that's a contributing factor. Thanks Dale

Hello, Thanks for the last update of chaseplane it has pretty nice new features that enhance a lot the product. But unfortunately one of them is not working for me. When I enable the gimbal stabilization in chaseplane my view is blocked and appeared like the following picture: I followed this topic to try to fix but the issue unfortunately is still here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/498124-quick-fix-issues-where-cameras-are-not-changing-properly/ So I tried clean reinstall to check if it works, but no luck I still have this issue. Using the assigned joystick button to move to next preset in Static view, causes the camera to move to 'lala' land :smile: and corrupts the scenery. On-board and Outside work as they should. Thanks Clive

Well, all was going OK, I cannot add any static cameras. if I click add, the camera moves to somewhere in the middle of nowhere, scenery becomes corrupt. The ones I created previously are still there if I go back to the airport and work OK. Something strange has happened, not sure what to be honest Update.......restart chase plane in 'normal mode', all is fine. Now restart back into experimental mode, this time when you click the 'static' title bar the camera starts to move backwards. Now click add, give the view a name, click tick. Camera will stop moving. Now you can select the presets as normal. very strange. Clive

The feature I was looking the most forward to is here – Static Presets! Spent the whole morning exploring the foggy Schiphol. An accolade to Keven and his team for the new version – smoother camera movement, joystick HAT buttons fully usable, a plethora of new options and In-Sim selector working with any mouse... I am so excited that I have to share my first static presets At least for myself, the "war" of camera add-ons is decided

How do you do this? Tried renaming a Static Preset(CTRL then click in Preset name) and CP CTD :mad: Perhaps that's not the correct way to do it Thanks Clive

Normally the red text in the upper right corner (name of the view and zoom factor) only comes up when changing the view and then disappears after a few seconds. However with chaseplane even without changing views the text comes up every now and then and stays on quite long sometimes. Haven't figured out yet when this happens but it often does. Anyone else seeing this?
