ChasePlane Support

Am having trouble with panning around the cockpit using chaseplane. i have assigned my mouselook(hold) to a button i used successfully with ezdock.However when i hold the button and try to pan around with the mouse, the camera only moves an inch and gets stuck. Haven't seen the problem in the forums could i have a wrong configuration.? currently using p3d v3.3.5 and chaseplane v1.84

No matter the focal point, everytime I start P3D, Chaseplane is zoomed WAY out, any fix? All airplanes!

I'd like to be able to pan "around" the plane with one joystick hat switch key. The current "Pan Left/Right" and "Move Left/Right" assignment has the camera stay in position while panning right/left. I'd like the camera to pan Left/Right AND "around" at the same time. This is for "External" views only of course. Is this something that can be done or exists already and I'm not configured properly? Good day, After holding down the middle mouse, the menu pops up but I am unable to scroll through the menu. The cursor animation works fine.

is there anyway of setting the defaults for the advanced camera settings? it is very annoying having to lower the inertia and increase the speed for every view, or am I missing something?

I get next message at startup Chaseplane: Configuration changed ChasePlane works best when your "WideViewAspect" setting is enabled. We have modified your fsx.cfg in FSX to reflect that. If your simulator is running, make sure you enable it in the simulator's preferences or restart it to apply the change. FSX is not installed only P3D V3 and FSX-SE. After ignoring this message Chaseplane and P3D work as normal. Greetz PC

When I first loaded up CP, the Tower view seemed to work very much like it did in Ezdok. hold the middle mouse which would give you a free look option like the VC or external a/c view with zoom in and out. With recent updates it seems this has been disabled. Not sure if this is currently being worked or not, but if not would love for it to be added as a feature. Also if there is an option to view AI Aircraft. This was not a Ezdok feature but you would be able to Lock Spot 360 rotate view around other aircraft and zoom in and out. zoom feature still works but currently unable to rotate around aircraft. Hi Keven, I am getting on well with setting up and using ChasePlane but am confused about the relationship between the in-sim window displaying the dynamic view choices and the ChasePlane static panel. Currently, once set up, I don't seem to have a need for either window. Under what circumstances to you envisage the pilot using either interface?

I am constantly receiving this window even though I restart my PMDG B777-300ER under Windows 10 Professional and Prepar3D v3.4. What am I missing?

I am trying to find out more about using an Xbox controller for Chaseplane, I see quite a few people using one for what I believe is more control over cameras and views. I take it that those that are using it for that purpose and along side a Joystick for flight control. I am currently using a Extreme 3D Pro for a flight stick and am thinking of trying my saitek x52. I do not own a Xbox controller but I do have playstation unit. Is it worth me buying an Xbox controller or am I going to get results using any of the combinations of what I already have/ Just asking for thoughts and opinions. I am using Prepar3D by the way. Hello! I am having an issue with ChasePlane where no matter what external view I go to, it goes to default Fly By view. I have to go back to on-board view, then it works (sometimes, most of the time it doesn't). I have deleted ALL view keyboard bindings, and double checked FSUIPC key bindings. It also happens when selecting the external view from the ChasePlane UI. Any advice? I just reinstalled my sim, so I might be missing something. This is with the Aerosoft Airbus, view system disabled. Have not tested on another aircraft yet. Edit: I think it's important to note, no issues with on-board cameras at all Thanks!

Hey guys, First of all I would like to thank you for creating such a beautiful and nice product. Job well done. I would like to report a minor bug (no issue for me personal here): my remaining VAS at startup shows 2.69G or something around that value although my graphic card has only 2.0G. Hi Guys, i have a strange problem: Following Setup: I7-6850K @ 4,3 Ghz GTX1080 32 GB RAM 3200 Mhz FSX:SE on a M2 SSD Windows 10 64 bit FSX:SE: ORBX Global FlyTampa Athens (LGAV) FsLabs A320X GSX Now the problem: Usualy shortly after i have loaded the A320 the whole simualtor freezes and i have to kill FSX:SE via Task Manager. I tried exactly the same stand with PMDG 737 no Issiues i could start from cold and dark till takeoff no problems. I then tried the A320 without chase plane and also this works without flaws. So i think it has to be something with chaseplane. Any ideas? brgds ------- Short …

I dont see any topics on this, so I assume all of you have middle mouse button panning and look working? Still cant get it to work. The options are enabled in preferences. Its a logitech mouse, so I dont see that as the issue. Any trick to getting this to work? Its next best option until TIR gets full support.

I continue to have conflicts with ezdoc on start up. But I can't seem to find where it xml file is to stop it from load every time on startup. I believe it is also cause my P3D to CTD

Hi all, I hope this is the correct place to submit a possible bug. I actually face this problem since the release of the Alpha version but I was hoping that it would be very obvious to be fixed in the first updates. However as I see this problem continuing to exist. So, what I experience, is that any camera in the VC is moving in a slow motion. If I select a camera, do not press anything and let it free, it will rotate after some time and I will have to recenter it. The direction of movement is not a specific one. I happen to like the view system of the Aerosoft Airbus. It might not be terribly realistic having those view bars across the top of the monitor but they are easy to use and work well. My question – is there a way to prevent ChasePlane from altering the Aerosoft view system or perhaps a way to have a sort of “mixed” setup with some aircraft using CP and others not? Dave Kieres

Hello, Today I flew 2 legs. In both legs CP crashed, when I wanted to restart CP again, it got stuck on the startup screen. When I closed it through Task Manager I noticed that there was a number 2 behind the name of CP, indicating that there was another CP running but there wasn't any CP running at the time. Your site tells me that after a crash there should be a crash report written to my desktop but there is no report. Greets, Roy

Hello, I use the Function keys to assign views in ChasePlane (for example F4 is Left MCDU view; F5 is MCDU right view; F12 is overhead view). However, I also use Ctrl+F11 for Active Sky and Ctrl+F12 for GSX. This used to work fine in Ezdok. However, in ChasePlane, even though Ctrl is held down (so I'm pressing Ctrl+F12) it switches to the views assigned to the relevant function key as if I was pressing it on its own. So when I request GSX from inside the cockpit, I get the overhead view. Is there anyway to prevent this happening? Thank you. Adam

I use TrackIR in combination with ChasePlane by simply using the same key to enable/disable each application. They stay 'in sync' (only one enabled at a time) as long as I remain in the cockpit (on-board CP view). I sometimes like to use the spot view in combination with TrackIR to quickly look outside and pan the camera around the aircraft. However, when I switch to another view by some means, then switch back to the cockpit (on-board CP view), the "Global Enable" setting is automatically switched back on. At this point, both TrackIR & ChasePlane are fighting for camera control, so I have to open CP or the in-sim menu and disable it again. I can't really thin…

I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this issue as I haven't seen any similar posts (but may have missed one, apologies if so). For the last week or so (through several updates), my mapped zoom buttons function perfectly on the internal CP view but don't work at all on the external CP view. All my other camera keys/axes work fine for both internal & external. The buttons I'm using for zoom are the top shoulder buttons on my PS3 controller, seen by Windows as an Xbox 360 controller. Anybody have an idea why they only work on the internal view? I have a pair of buttons on my yoke set up with FSX's own zoom in/out commands. These work in the external view on the…
