Note FSX is the PC's name, I have in it FSX-SE and P3D 3.4 latest.

Hi Everyone, The last 2 days were pretty intense but we nuked most "critical" issues that prevented some users from launching the app. We will now be focusing on other issues like the ones where controllers and keyboards aren't read properly and the issue of Turbulence and Advanced options settings not saving properly. I saved all my QW757 views, then closed the sim and stuff (after saving). I am now trying to fly from London to Philly, so I load the 752, and all my views are zoomed insanely out (really low focal). In the cockpit, I deleted all views and reset them, and now they are good, but outside, I tried to zoom in with the focal, and it does nothing. I put the focal at .7, and it does nothing, any fix?

Hi, Updated to Build 0.1.52 this evening when I started up. Loaded in an aircraft I don't have any presets for yet.... it took me nearly an hour to set up 4 camera presets. 1. Pressing any option on the side menu ie. Preset or Camera and there is a 5-10 second delay before it changes. 2. When using the Camera sliders the first couple of clicks work fine and then everything just seems to stop working or has a massive delay on it. Dragging the white dot doesn't move it and neither does clicking in the drag area. Even after multiple clicks or drags nothing happens, then all of a sudden it will work once and the movement goes on forever. 3. I bound my pres…

After restarting my computer chaseplane does not remember the keys I have set to certain presets. It always changes them (example: NUMPAD 0 to NUMPAD 7). I have to reset them every time. Another thing is that I would like to set my mouse wheel to zoom but chaseplane does not reqognize my mouse input in the control assignments. I might be missing some settings so please help and correct me if you can. Have a fun time developing and do not burn yourself, Mikael :smile:

I have the latest update (v0.1.37) with the revamping of the keyboard bindings and I went to remap presets and noticed some significant (to me) challenges. When assigning key bindings there is no longer a separate difference between the L SHIFT and R SHIFT keys. This was a very versatile option for setting interior VC views and then interfacing them with the Logitech G13 providing many different key combinations. Just installed ChasePlane and set various keyboard and button commands. After opening FSX-SE I can open the ChasePlane on-screen menu using mouse button. The problem is the menu only shows "On-Board" and "Reset Camera" in color with the other items such as "New Camera" and "Open ChasePlane" as greyed out. If I do click on "On-Board" nothing seems to happen. Also none of my programmed keys or buttons do anything. Would appreciate help. Flying Clive

Hi! First: thx for a great product! My issue: In the first alphas I was able to map mouse button 3 and 4 for changing between presets.. in the recent alpha, chaseplane does not recognise these buttons? Rgds Freddy

Hi guys; I'm in heaven since saturday, when I bought ChasePlane. After years using Ezdok, finally an excellent alternative. I know it is in Alpha stage, things need to be fixed, etc etc. What leads me to write is precisely the subject of the title. I just installed version 0.1.34, and when I run FSX:SE I get this message: "ChasePlane was unable to locate the fsx_se.cfg file for FSX:SE. Make sure you run the simulator at least once before lauching ChasePlane. ChasePlane needs to make some modifications in this file in order to work properly." The problem is: Although I'm running the Steam version, my cfg file is named fsx.cfg. I tried to rename it for "fs…

The "It looks like something unexpected occured" message is back for me with 0.1.47. That leads me to the idea that it would be nice if we would have the option to go back to a previous version of Chaseplane that worked fine. Normally I make backups of all my applications before I update them so I can easily go back to the previous version if something goes wrong with the new version. With Chaseplane that doesn't work, because the update starts automatically when starting the application. Apparently there is no way of stopping it. Hi, After installing the latest update (3.4.14.18870) for P3D, the camera keeps slowly moving backwards when sitting in the cockpit. The only way to make it stop moving backwards is to shut down Chase Plane. I don't have this problem when I assign buttons in P3D. Deleting my cameras.cfg, prepar3d.cfg and reinstalling Chase Plane didn't solve the problem. Also when I use the POV hat of my joystick the camera movement isn't as smooth as I have seen on YouTube videos. I had this smoothness problem with the previous build of P3D also btw.

I have been simming for years but have had only simple joysticks, I am still using an old MS Sidewinder. I know how to assign commands but here is my question. Can I use a 360 controller for chaseplane views, while still using my Sidewinder joystick for P3D? And do I go into the P3D controls and assign the views I want for the 360 controller, and then make sure there are no keyboard or joystick commands that will conflict? Thank you.

Hi, Your product looks great already here in alpha. :-) I am running P3D for an installation where I have a fair bit of hardware. I am very interested in precise definition of the view point, zoom and viewdirection etc. In EZDOC I could manually define these parameters in the ini file and import Where does ChasePlane save its Presets and Can I manually adjust the parameters while the APP is not running? On my PC P3D V3 and FSXSE are installed. I run P3D and start ChasePlane. Error message appears that FSX.CFG of FSX:SE cannot be found. As far as I have found one cannot select whisch simulators mus be checke or am I wrong? PC

Hi All, I've been playing with two A2A aircraft, the Texan works fine with ChasePlane but the Commanche outside view has an issue. In short the movement axis are not in the usual direction (parallel and perpendicular to the plane horizontally) e.g. the forward button moves forward and right. I notice that when I use ChasePlane to switch to the outside view it goes to an A2A view not the ChasePlane view in the P3D aircraft view menu. I'm guessing this is the issue? Does anyone know how to correct? Many thanks, Simon.

Speed of changing views in outside mode is big. If reduce the speed on a single slider, the speed in VC will be very small. Need a second slider, especially for outside views.

Bonjour , 1)Users who have a cockpit-simulator starts to be many.They have 3-4 screens where and one projection screen,and they use 2D panels to fly the aircraft. Then they have a higher screen for put the view 'Cockpit' simulator, (I specify Cockpit ' not 3D Cockpit view of the plane!). But 'chaseplane' displaying external views on the same screen or the user have put the 2D panels. is it possible you have an option in the software that would display the views external cameras (chaseplane) on the screen 2 or 3 depending on the users. Hello Michael Eventhough till now I am still not able to use my keyboard as known issue, and I enjoy this Chaseplane with trackIR by using the Preferences > Control Bindings and under 'Global Enable' key use the same joystick button you use for 'pause' in Track IR. just wondiring if the TobiiEyex also will support it in the future.

Just a head's up that installing ChasePlane corrupted my exe.xml file in P3D, which required some minor hand editing to correct. Presumably, the faulty syntax error occurred when the installation routine was disabling EZDok and inserting the ChasePlane.exe into the exe.xml file. The syntax error affected the ActiveSky 2016 entry. I post this just in case other users experienced anything similar.

I'd like to pan in the outside view for videos, but so far have only figured out to use the UI, which of course pauses the sim when you use it to move the view, maybe the keys on the key board will allow for panning during flight. And how does a 360 controller work with CP, and what are the advantages or disadvantages of using one? Thank you.

Hi, I just noticed that my saved camera presets don't remain fix, those created in the cockpit. When I reload aircraft(PMDG 777), either it has moved a bit to the left, up or down. Have to repositioned them for each flight. Also when taxing, camera does not reposition correctly after turns. Pressing reset camera does not help also Tried same in a Cessna and its all good, every time aircraft is loaded, cockpit camera is in correct pre-set position, when taxing, camera return to correct position after anticipation movements. Are those current issues that will be sorted out in future updates or problems with my settings. Please advise Thanks, David Milate

When i use the middle mouse button. The pop up interface works but i can not select external cameras. I have external views saved. The button is dull .

I tried, I really tried. I know how many people love Ezdok.. I could never get on with it.. I had high hopes that ChasePlane would be better and I'd actually be able to use this thing unlike Ezdok.. I can't.. I just can't get on with it.. I can't configure it to just allow me to move around the flightdeck like I can with the default view system i.e. mouse wheel zoom.. hold space to move.. it's just too complicated to setup and I can't get used to it. I like the external view stuff, but it's just not worth it if I have to sacrifice my in flight deck experience. Can someone tell me how to uninstall it? I've selected uninstall.. that didn't work.. Hello, with the latest update CP made a TXT File called DeviceAudit.txt at my Desktop. Is that needed or could I delete it? What is this file for?
