ChasePlane Support

This maybe more of a question for another forum but there are some gifted people here. When I first installed Chaseplane I was running TrackIR software verse 5.2. It worked fine, it recognized the game title as FSPX and worked great. I recently updated my TrackIR software to 5.4 and chaseplane also recently updated. When I run I FSX with Chaseplane, TrackIR now recognizes Microsoft Flight Simulator X as the title and what results is the two camera systems (FSX and Chaseplane) fight with each other. How do I disable TrackIR from loading FSX as the title and get it to load FSPX as the title. When I had EZdoc it would recognize EZCA as the title, never saw Flight simul…

Hello! I'm very happy about this product, this is one of my best buy for P3D. I have just few questions and suggestions. Question: In the preferences menu i can see two bar for the sensivity override of the Cinematic Cam. Actually i can't find a way to override it and to move around. How can it be done? Also, the default cinematic cam is way too far from the plane, in my tastes. Suggestions: When i look with pilots' eyes and then, for example, i turn to left window and quickly i back to pilots' eyes the animation is not smooth as Ezdok: it starts from the full left parameters going back to front, making the movement not nice. Just a heads up to people using Trackhat I can confirm it is working fully with P3d and Chaseplane without the need to global disable. Many thanks to Keven and team for a truly great add-on in the sim world

Hello. I been using this software 4 not that long ago, Let me tell u is amazing. Just 1 issue though, after v01.662 we CAN'T move the rwy cam and if I recall correct we could move the camera side to side in versions bellow 662 with the mm button. My question is, is this an issue or it was on purpose? Let me know Have a great day

Loaded my PMDG 737 which I have used many times with CP with no issues. Today loaded said A/C and everything was going fine until I throttled up to taxi - the view began to spin to the right. After that none of the present views were available. CP version 0.1.665 - throttle is Saitek Pro Cessna version. FSUIPC is used. Any ideas?

Greetings, after one of the recent exp updates (not sure which one) I noticed that the zoom level in Cinematic Mode appeared to have changed so that the view was zoomed out much more and the aircraft was therefore much smaller compared to before. Also at this zoom level the cinematic "sweep" or pan isn't even observable because the aircraft is so far removed from the camera viewpoint. I saw that there were some additional controls in the UI for setting the cinematic mode camera behavior, but zoom level does not appear to be one of them. Is there some other UI setting or control for zoom in this mode that might have caused this? It certainly wasn't anything I did delib…

Hi with the latest update 0.1671 all presets are lost. Any chance to get them back? For the time being I will disable automatic update. General "Experimental versions" grey, is that correct? It seems that CP doesn't find the correct aircraft. Peter

I have an issue where FSX-SE will not restart from a recent shutdown if ChasePlane is running in the background. A Steam Error: "Failed to start game (app already running)." is displayed. The Task Manager does not show FSX-SE as still running but the Steam app does. The only way I can restart FSX-SE without rebooting the PC is to go into Task Manager and either shut down ChasePlane or shut down the Steam Client Bootstrapper (Steam.exe *32) process. ChasePlane appears to be the culprit because If ChasePlane is not running when I restart FSX-SE, the sim loads normally. Regards,

Hi Really like CP but since new update to 0.1.661 Alpha all my view and zoom positions have altered on all views, on all aircraft. Is this supposed to happen with the introduction of Free Track and Open Track being added? Does it mean I will just have to re-do all my view positions on all my aircraft, or is this a bug that will be fixed? I use Trackir5 but makes no difference whether TR5 on or off. Hello all, just wanted to say that so far Cp is awesome and has breathed new life into my simming. There is a slight learning curve, but overall it is very easy to use and allows for superior freedom of movement. It is probably tougher to learn all the new button assignments. Anyway I have noticed that while panning around, or changing views from vc to exterior views there does not appear to be any VAS usage increase which of course is great, has anyone else seen this? I've uninstalled FSX and gone over to the Steam Edition. I installed ChasePlane but I seem to have lost all my settings. There weren't many so it's not a big deal but should this have happened?

Hello, I recently enabled experimental features and am running v0.1.658 Alpha Exp. and wanted to report that I have noticed in my PMDG 737 NGX that when i toggle from cockpit to outside views that the outside of the plane has disappeared. If I switch to outside view, enable/disable cinematic mode, then the outside plane textures show up again, but the views are offset in different locations than saved. The issue persists each time I switch from a cockpit view toi outside view. The normal P3D (I'm on v3.4 hotfix 2) views display the plane just fine. Thanks.

Hello, For some reason just recently (last saturday) I have begun encountering this issue. Every preset on the plane has zoomed in some past the normal value. This creates a view to close to aircraft or to far up wing or too close to instruments in cockpit. When I hit backspace the view resets to its default but will just either immediately zoom back in (in cockpit it zooms to .56 outside to .67) or when i switch views back and forth zoom back in. This is rather annoying and would love some help. I tried restarting sim and chaseplane, fixes files, resetting settings nothing has worked. Any tips? Ethan Hunt

What a brilliant application! I was so pleased to say goodbye to ezdok. Today I had a day off so a great time for me to fly. Unfortunately, the internet went down for the whole area so while everything else in my system worked, no chaseplane. This Sunday would be another great day for me to fly but they're working on the NBN here and they have advised we will lose the internet for a good part of the day. A reliable internet connection is no longer something I can depend upon with Australia's ratty national broadband network screwed by our government. Sadly, I love and have become dependent on chaseplane but now regret the work I've put into…

Hi all, I just installed ChasePlane, into my fsx:se. Everything starts fine, only problem is, MY SCREEN IS ALL WHITE !!! I can hear the engines running, but i just can't see them !! Has anyone had this problem? Help me , PLEASE. Now I have no sim !!! Thanks, Kenny

I've had 2 App hangs in P3D with Chase plane when setting a new preset out of about 20 presets. I know it's Alpha and i'm not complaining, I just wondered if any other users experienced the same or if it's isolated to my system? Apart from the couple of hangs this product is immense from what I've seen so far for a Alpha version, I love the fact I can use my X-box one controller with it, if it's this good now what will the full version be like! :smile: EDIT: Had another AppHang. It seems my X55 throttle randomly disconnects and then reconnects causing P3D to Hang/crash. I've never had this before and have tried a flight without ChasePlane and i again had no issue…

Evening everyone. Lately I have been noticing that ChasePlane has been putting some really bad blurries into my sim. At first I thought this was my CFG/sim after deleting these, shaders, scenery indexes, the whole thing I then though chaseplane could be causing problems. I noticed on the right wing of every aircraft that the ground textures are ok, then on the left it is fairly blurry then in cinematic it is really, really blurry. Anyone who could help, I'd appreciate it!

The first time I ran FSX after installing chase plane, my aircraft would load with the pilots view as the correct view out of the window. I set up my cameras for an airplane and everything ran great. The next day however, my views were extremely low, like underneath the AC and to the left. I had to reset all the camera angles. The next time I ran FSX, my view was back well below and outside of the cockpit. I used to have EZdoc 1.8 running. I deleted EZdoc prior to installing chaseplane. I run FSX Acceleration on a win 7 64 bit system. Im sorry if this was answered in a previous post but I could not seem to search it out.

I'm thinking of getting an oculus rift headset to use instead of my track ir. Are there any plans to use the rift instead of the track ir? I love the way I can control the view in chase plane with the track ir but I am thing more into the future.

When loaded my Majestic q400 and then using CP and imported my Majestic q400 ecs file, all On-Board camera views looked not too bad, with some minor adjustments, all well. However, when I use the downloaded Outside views, I have a cut down view of the cockpit and only a set of wings and engines. The central part of the aircraft is missing. When I use the FSX outside views all is ok and when I use the CP Static view, and any of the airport views, the whole aircraft is there. Any ideas what I have done wrong?
