ChasePlane Support

I have purchased ChasePlane last night, and since I installed it, P3DV3 no longer utilizes the hardware as it did before and FPS have dropped significantly. I have tried running P3D without ChasePlane, but no difference. PMDG 747 at FlyTampa EHAM with AS16, 9-11 FPS, where it used to be steady 25+. In cruise, barely 20-25, while it used to be 40-50. CPU usage is noticeably lower as temps are 15-20 degrees lower than before. GPU isn't working much either. i5 4670K @ 4.4 R9 390 P3D on SSD Win7 Ultimate 64bit

I just picked up EDTracker a few days ago to use with CP and FSX. I then installed and configured Opentrack as well as messaging Calopez78 , who has it working FSX:SE for his profile. Even with that I still get a jumping similar to conflicting control assignments when I'm in FSX. I have checked all of my controls and the the X, Y and Z axis are assigned for the yoke in FSUIPC4 and the EDTracker in FSX. However, they are assigned to different actions; the Yoke to control surfaces, the EDTracker to view up/down (Pan), etc. I can turn off Global Enable in CP and the jumping disappears and EDTracker works, but that's not the solution that I'm looking for. …

TrackIR movements along xyz-axis (I don't mean rotation here) happen now in relation to plane's xyz-axes only. I'd like to have an option to change this behavior so that the movement was in relation to current Chase Plane camera and where it is pointing at. For example, if the camera is tilted up towards overhead panel and I want to move my head closer to my screen to get closer look of overhead knobs, the camera moves towards plane's nose, not towards the overhead panel as I suppose. That doesn't not feel realistic. Would it be possible to fix that?

Hi, all of a suddon I cannot create new presets as my camera does not work anymore. FWD/BWD or Pan nothing happens. This is with P3Dv4. Did not have that problem until today. Thanks Peter After restarting P3D 3 times the camera is working again. But something has changed, going from an outside view back to the VC (left seat, num1 assigned) I do not get my left seat preset. I do have to right-click the mouse and select chaseplane-vc.

Hello, yesterday i bought a saitek x56 rhino...after assigning all the views in chaseplane on the joystick and throttle quadrant i made reboot and after that nothing was working, nevertheless i see all the assigments in chaseplane and the joystick is working, i have to make new assigments to work again, and the buttons/axis identified in chaseplane are exactly the same :P Im using windows 10 - P3Dv3.4 Anyone else as this problem? Hi Keven, I've been getting a " Your version of FSX not supported" during boot up for sometime. I thought that it might have been due to my using the experimental version, but same thing after switching to 3.67 Beta. However, I can then restart it and it works just fine.. Just something wrong with the initial detection... Ernie

I show I am running version v0.3.67 but see references in this forum to v 0.3.90 (which is suppose to fix the problem of the key assignments not working any more). I searched for updates on the FSFX site and looked at VFXCentral for a way to update. I even uninstalling and reinstalling ChasePlane to get it to update but still can't get any version above 3.67. How do I update to 3.90

Hi, Since last auto update a perfectly working system has gone pear shaped.. Kept crashing when trying to scroll through views and now I cannot zoom in by moving scroll wheel.. It was working flawlessly until this last update..

I have been using Shaseplane for a few months now with little to no problems. I very recently purchased TrackIR. Using the TrackIR application, everything is operational. They have a sample "airplane" that I can look around with no problem/ The problem is that when using Prepar3d, Chaseplane and TrackIR nothing happens. The switch is turned on in Chaseplane for TrackIR support to no effect. Any ideas?

Sorry if this is a silly question but I would like to slow the transition speed between views. 1. Custom views I have setup externally going from one side of an aircraft to the other as an example. 2. Changing internal views (presets) 3. Panning left and right using my hat switch on my joystick. I use EZDOC camera in a FSX Acceleration install on a SSD. My EZDOC setting is finely tuned for a lot of airplanes. I would like now to transition to P3DV4 and use Chase Plane on a different SSD. At the same time I would like to keep FSX running. I remember months ago trying to do that (to a P3Dv2.5 version) and after installing Chase Plane my FSX's EZDOC was completely removed without any previous warning. I also remember it was a pain to set up again my EZDOC camera settings... I would like to know if this has been solved so I can keep a FSX / EZDOC and a P3Dv4 / Chase Plane in the same computer ( on different SSDs) Thank you in advance. Regard…

This issue has been around for quite some time but I have just accepted it. However I thought I should bring it to your attention - see attached print screen. When you access the dialogue options from the middle mouse button and click on either the down or up arrows for the FIRST time the dialogue box closes. Hi, This morning I wanted to make a flight with P3DV3. Being on the runway, no view control works with my joystick (ThrustMaster T-flight Hotas X). It appears that ChasePlane is not connected to the simulator (Red color in ChasePlane). Hello, I'm in the process of making a new video for YouTube. I've heard and read a lot about Chaseplane recently, but to be honest I was happy with EZDOK. I was using EZDOK for all my cockpit views and the odd outside view. I always had problems with EZDOK's World views so I haven't used them for a while (years!) I have just received my XBox controller, plugged it into the USB. Drive, it installed all OK Rebooted the computer, Prepar3D sees it and lists it in controls, but no sign of it in Chaseplane, only my joystick. Am I missing something? cheers Pete

Hi! Just purchased and installed ChasePlane. Everything seems to work except every few seconds the camera zooms in to some kind of different view not controlled by ChasePlane, then after a few seconds it pops back with the side monitor windows going black for a moment. The zoom value in ChasePlane doesn't change, so it looks like something is taking over the view for a moment and then ChasePlane recocers. Happens all the time. I believe I removed all conflicting control assignments, except for the P3D keyboard defaults. Thanks for any suggestions!

A few hours now trying to load ChasePlane and the error shown in the title won't allow it to load. Occasionally I get one or another error, but basically it seems that the so called libraries are unreachable. Please help. Thanks.

Right now when I go to external view the camera is fixed on the plane and the ground moves in the background. I would like to reverse that. I would like to see the ground fixed with the plane moving with the turbulence. It should look more realistic that way. The Track Aircraft tab was ticked on but nothing has changed.

Hi, I'm trying to fly P3D v4 with ChasePlane in the windows insider preview. It seems crashed, and be uninstalled automatically every time. "Recheck Configuration Files" and "Regenerate Airport Data" are not clickable. If I just run CP, it does works. Starting P3d v.4 from SimstarterNG sometimes produces an error from Chase Plane saying it couldn't activate advanced features. After clearing the notification, P3d v4 stops loading, although some processes still are working in the back ground. I thought at frist this had to be due to the Windows 10 update problem. Hi. I just bought a new Pc and I'm in the process of reinstalling all my P3D related things..,like Chaseplane. But inspite of doing excaclty like I always have done, Chaseplane keep telling me that It can not located SimConnect.msi, and that I should find it and install it?? I have made a clean install of P3D (v3) and also the SDK, so everything is in place. I have reinstalled both Chaseplane and the SDK several times but still the same message comes up saying that Chaseplane needs SimConnect.msi in my main P3D folder. I have looked all over for it, but I'm not able to find anything called SimConnect.msi. So after having spend 4 hours trying …

CP just did an update when I started my P3Dv4. I did not notice the version no - I have experimental turned off Now chaseplane.exe is at 0 bytes. I tried to use VFXCentral to uninstall/reinstall, but that gives errors and fails.

All of a sudden the below image error windows appears when I ran Prepar3dv3.4 and it crashes to desktop when the load bar reaches 100%. I have been a CP user from day one of release and have had no issues like this with either before. I am using the Beta CP Steve
