ChasePlane Support

Trying the new replay system, which I know is a WIP, for the first time. Well done, very promissing!. Anyhow, I'm noticing lots of stutters from the external view. That's part of the issues will be fixed as the development continues, or it's a particular issue on my system?. Cheers, Ed

I LOVE the new replay feature for Chase plane! Can we expect, or request a render feature for recording P3D V4? I desperately would love to see something comparable to FSRecorder! Thanks in advance!

Every time I run my sim, Chase Plane crashes... When I load it up again, there's a 50% chance it will get past the loading splash screen. When it does load, it works fine... for about 5-10 minutes... After that, I get a "ChasePlane has stopped working" alert, with no option to wait until it responds... I can't fly anywhere or anything without this happening and I kid you not, I managed to get about 20 icons loaded into the systray before taking off from Abu Dhabi!!! Of course, there aren't 20 processes open, they are just left there from the last time it ran and they disappear when i hover over them... This is just a small variety of the errors that appea…

Hi, As the title suggests, after closing down v4 chaseplane dumps memory and crashes. Have had this about 5 times on the trot now. I'm running the latest version (at the time of writing v0.2.54). Thought I should mention this. Cheers

I've considered purchasing Chaseplane for some time, but I really need to be sold on the effects aspect of the program. I'm mostly focused on creating the landing effects on various aircraft, since a 737 will impact the cabin much differently than a light Cessna would. Is there a video out there showing this, or if not would you be kind enough to prepare something? Thank you.

I have setup all my on-board views for the Q400 (loving it!) and now I want to create some outside views. The default view puts me straight behind the Q400. First thing I noticed is that when I use the mouse to move around I only can pan left and right and look up and down from my current position. So I am in the center. What I want is the good old spot view behaviour where the plane is in the center, so that when I drag the mouse left and I right I rotate around the plane. If you know what I mean. Simple question: how can I get this done...? I can't figure it out. As it is now I use the arrow keys to move left and right and up and down and then drag the mouse to kee…

This is a rather frustrating issue. When I first spawn in, the camera will either work or it won't. I can still use the middle mouse to pan and look around and even use the hat switch but any marked keys that are assigned to a view do not work. Its honestly hit or miss. I have tried reinstalling and messing with the Experimental Versions tab but hasn't done much. When changing to exterior I have CTRL + another key and when it is working, I will click the one key to fly around the vc but it will change to the exterior view. P3Dv4.1, v0.4.77 beta of Chaseplane, NO EZCA what so ever.

Version 4.101 is working perfectly for me although I don't use half its features. I just wanted to say thanks for a great program and glad I stuck with it. Sorry for getting so exercised in previous posts but everything works great. I recommended this program to a friend. Jack

Hi, I'm using a PS4 controller for my view assignments. Yesterday i was able to assign some axis to different viewsettings (forward-back, left-right etc...). Sinds the new update 0.4.99 these axis assignments no longer work, the buttons and keys etc does. Only Tilt up/down is working. Is there something changed in these assignment? (Using Win10/64 - P3Dv4.1 - CP experimental current 0.4.99) edit: the controller reacts OK in windows control panel, and in FSUIPS is works OK aswell ... BTW fade in/out black is a nice feature.

I'm getting enthusiastic about buying this but I am slightly deterred by the need for an active internet connection to use the software. The flight sim club I go along to does not have any internet availability and I would love to use this product when simming there. I currently use FSXSE which is happy to run in offline mode.

After seeing the latest beta video, Chaseplane is really looking good. Thing is, I'd like to also have EZDok sometimes. I think I read somewhere that Chaseplane uninstalls EZDok. If it does, is it easy to 'reinstall' it and 'uninstall' it again so I can switch between the two? Gregg

EZdok just came out with a new feature. When pressing (and holding) the Tab key, it disables EZDok. That is great because you use the Tab key to input data into the FMC on PMDG planes. Right now I use the num keys to switch vieuws and when inputting numeric data to the FMC the views change as well. Another nice to have would be a split head anticipation. The one existing now is great for flying, but it would be nice to have a second one for taxiing using the rudder. Make a left turn on the tarmac and the head looks also like 90° left, like you would do yourselve in real life.

Hi Keven, My guess is that this version of CP is wrecking the P3Dv4.1 UI. I start my PC and am told each time that P3D v4.1 needs to reset my screen resolution for P3D on my 4k monitor. On confirming that it has set the resolution correctly, I receive the Desktop Icon Settings window and the P3D splash screen only. On cancelling the Desktop Icon Settings window, I also lose the P3D splash. On restarting P3D, and as soon as the icon for CP appears in the tray at autostart, the UI panel for P3D disappears, yet Task Manager shows P3Dv4.1 still running with 14% CPU, 4786mb (18%) memory and 9.3% GPU on my 1080Ti. No change after leaving it running for around 10 minut…

I bought ChasePlane specially for the Majestic Q400 so it was a bit er... funny to see the Q400 is the only plane out there that can't take advantage of various ChasePlane options. (Shouldn't something like that be announced before purchase...?) Luckily it's not a very big deal because I mainly bought ChasePlane for cockpit views. However, ChasePlane told me that certain Motion Effects may not function properly. Two questions: 1. do they simply not function properly, giving odd movements, or do they in fact cripple the flightmodel of the Q400? 2. if I want to turn all motion effects off... how do I do that? I can't find an OFF button. A good working flight …

@Keven Menard Hi Keven. We already communicated a couple of times about my mouse issue. It still is an issue. My mouse cursor starts to move frome left to right , slowly or fast, after a changing amount of time after starting my sim. I talked to microsoft, and to many forums, but nobody seems to know this issue and how to solve it. One guy although, told me it would be a windows systems problem, only to be solved by a new Win install. Before i will do so, i would like to ask for your opinion. It all started after installation of ChasePlane. Looking forward to your, or anybodies help or experience cheers Rick

Just bought ChasePlane. Now I must be doing something very stupid because I can’t look around (should be able to do that with the scroll wheel pushed in?) and when I drag controls in the control window (pan, tilt, left, right, etc.) nothing happens and the controls jump back to default as soon as I let go of them. Is there some sort of lock or unlock option? I bought the addon mainly to setup a few cockpit views and this one was so much easier to use than EZDOK, so I was told, but well, right now I find it harder to use because it doesn’t do anything. Enlighten me, please! What am I missing? Something very obvious probably!

Hey, since yesterday I set Affinity Mask to 84 in the Prepar3D.cfg.. And now I am experiencing some issues with Chaseplane, for example after like 10min. it starts to stutter and I need to restart it.I have read that there are some problems with ChasePlane and Affinity Mask, when autostart is enabled, is that problem still current? Or can I resolve this issue without manually starting ChasePlane? Thanks :)

Haven't ran P3D4.1 in several days so I run it and CP does this. Always use experimental version. Version 4.95. Cannot run it no matter what I do.

I'm new to ChasePlane, having used Opus for my cameras for years. I'm very impressed. My main issue so far is that I can't seem to find any info on how to use the same presets for multiple aircraft. As an example, my PMDG 737s all have the same cockpit dimensions, and I'd like to use the same On-Board presets across all of them. If I edit the Captain's view camera in the 738, I'd like it to also change in the 738WL, 739, 739WL, 737, 737WL, and 736. (This also applies to the 3 different 777s, 7 747s, 2 FSL A320s, etc.) Outside views are another story due to the different aircraft dimensions, so it would be helpful for the user to be able to set them to ap…

I'm having a problem (which after a search purports to have been fixed) where chase plane will not auto start on P3Dv4 load. I have to go find it in the start menu. Another step alas, but it used to work just find auto-starting, auto shutting down. Any ideas of where to look for the root of the problem? Reinstall? (yes, I double checked the option) using version 0.4.94

Been trying for the last few days, and today to record a 1920x1080 vid with CP views. In Fraps, everything records nicely. In Shadowplay, it looks like I'm recording it on my phone as if I'm holding it vertically. The recording is very narrow when I play it back. Since CP has been installed, and whether it is open or closed, FSX recordings are messed up. Both Shadowplay and CP versions are updated and current. Any help would be great! Thanks!! Hi, When I view Youtube vids of sim flights, I see these impressive camera shots where Chaseplane is circling the aircraft, as it is flying! Looks spectacular and I would love to know how it is done, please. Regards, Geoff

Hello, This happend to me a serveral times that I have been flying on vatsim and out of nothing i can't press anything button which makes me END the flight which is super anoying. I have been reading this is due chaseplane from losing clickspots?? Thanks

Hi, My Chaseplane doesn't load because it says I need an updated version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Packages. I installed this when I installed Chaseplane about 3 weeks ago. Chaseplane has been working fine for about the last 2 weeks but now it doesn't load and needs the update. My computer, which runs Win 10, currently has 19 versions of the Redistributable with the latest 2017 x64 Ver 14.10.25017 installed on the 4/11/17. Does anyone know the specific version required? VFX central doesn't automatically update this it seems. I just get a message to update it with no further details.
