ChasePlane Support

I am quite confident using chaseplane with different aircrafts. I just bought and installed new captain sim 757 version 3 for Prepar3D v4x, before defining any preset I can turn any knob or press any button. After defining my first preset, for example captain seat, none of the knobs or buttons work. Any idea about solving this issue ?

I just got up and running with P3D v4 but I'm having a new problem with ChasePlane that I've never had before. Whenever I change views in the PMDG 777 the screen flashes black for a brief moment. I've spent the entire morning trying to figure this out and I've tried everything I can think of. Anyone else having this problem and is there a fix for this? Neal

I'm probably staring at the answer, but is there a way to increase the pan rate when using middle mouse button?

I want to set the startup default view for p3dv4.1 to an outside view is there a way to do that with chaseplane? I just switched from ezdok v2, so far I'm very glad I did

I know its still in beta, but I'm left a little confused after installing Chaseplane... For the purpose of testing various axis etc, I'm now trying to run P3Dv4 WITHOUT Chaseplane for the moment, simply in order to track down a calibration problem with a device. So, I've started P3D without launching Chaseplane, but according to P3D, the VC view that's loading is NOT the default one, but the one displaying as 'Cockpit View Onboard (Chaseplane)', and the HAT switch on my joystick won't work in the cockpit :-( It works fine in 'Spot' view but I can't get it working again in VC view. Hi all, In two specific airports, Imaginesim Atlanta and LatinVFR Porto , both latest versions for P3Dv4, I experience extreme textures flickering when on the external view on Chaseplane as well as in cinematic mode. The problem does not happen when I am on Prepar3D external view, for example spot view. I have been using version 0.4.178 in the "experimental" mode for the last week or so and it has performed perfectly! Last night when I opened ChasePlane the opening box with an airplane appeared and it began to go through the usual progression of steps prior to the GUI opening. When it reached the step regarding something like "checking for update" the update automatically began and a download progress box (?) appeared. The progress bar showed the installation progress but when it reached 99% it came to a "screeching halt". Hello, Looking in exe.xml of Prepar3D V4 - (for a reason not connected to ChasePlane) I just discovered that it as already been inserted 18 times ! I know that it does not really hurts but it would be better if you could take a look at your installer... Gérard

Hello, I like very much the facility offered by the Aircraft tab - Hot Corners. But I cannot use immediatly a newly created preset. I need to shutdown and restart ChasePlane to see it : seams like the drop down list is not refreshed when the preset is created; Thanks Gérard V 04.180 Beta Exp.

Hi all, I had searched for this answer but didn't find it. I am looking in to buying the Tobii 4C eye/head tracker this week, but is Chaseplane compatible? Will TrackIR compatibility cut it? I gather from my research that Tobii uses their own proprietary configuration software with FS/P3D, not sure how exactly it interacts with the sim. Will it work out of the box, or no idea? Thanks!!

Hi guys, i have a problem to use chaseplane with trackir.. when i like to use my trackir with chaseplane, screen is flashing so what i need to do for this ? I've found a video and problem is same for me.. Also i activate it TrackIR settings of the ChasePlane..

I'm using ChasePlane in a P3D based sim with one main ChasePlane monitor and two other monitors I use for displaying the aircrafts instrument panel. Although all 3 monitors are displaying ChasePlane virtual cockpit windows, the different camera views I've set up only change on the main monitor. In P3D v3.4, I use the Pan View axis control in FSUIPC4 to adjust the view in the instrument panel monitors. For some reason in P3D v4, the same command in FSUIPC5 doesn't function. Could someone be able to tell me how ChasePlane functions in a multiple monitor (multiple window) setup? Perhaps I'm not setting it up the best way.

Hi, I agree with the vast majority, CP is a great product and adds so much to my sim experience. I have a question however. I'm running 3.70 and eagerly waiting for version 4. I have not tagged the experimental slider because I got fed up with the reload every time I launched CP. But from what I've seen, there are many upgrades in 4.x which would be great to have. So my question; when will 4.x become the norm or better still, when will this product come out of BETA? Thank you.

First off, I feel CP is a truly outstanding product and worthy of many accolades. That said, my flawless CP install which I've enjoyed immensely since switching from EZ , just broke down when the update to version 0.4.178 beta was installed. It seems the opposite has happened for me. Now CP will not (red box) connect to P3DV4.1. I wanted to post before I took any further action. Suggestions? Thanks in advance ! Rick

Well, I made a flight this morning, then came back just now a few hours later and I keep getting a box that says it encountered an error and do I want to send a log to FSFX. Rebooted the PC, still same error. Any idea when it will be fixed?

Submitted this to support but no response so I thought I would try here. I have an old Comcast email that I used to set up my FSFX account. I'm no longer a Comcast customer, hence the email no longer exists. I need to move that account email to a new one. I see no provision in my account for doing so. Any ideas?

Hi Guys Products is great, but I had it a couple of times were the Online connection did not work (your server outage) plus my own internet went down. All my views are set up via chaseplane Any chance you may consider Offline version so we can use it last known status like. That would really help. Just a thought Thanks Elmar Wegerle

Hi With experimental versions disabled I do not get any options other than FSX:SE for autolaunch. The green sliders do not function for FSX / P3D versions. In fact I cannot launch chaseplane at all with FSX , I have both boxed and SE on the pc. Its fine with SE but I would like both. Thanks,

Hi all, I purchased Chase Plane yesterday and I find it to be a really great application. Its really well done. I've built a home cockpit so I have no need for the virtual cockpit. I like to use the 2D cockpit view (I remove the panels) as its much friendlier with regard to FPS. The problem I have had with the 2D view is that you can't pan left and right and up and down as you can in the Virtual Cockpit. Again, I can create a custom camera view in the Virtual Cockpit and move the POV forward and out the front window so I don't see any of the virtual panels but, again, the 2D cockpit view is better than the VC view as the FPS is a lot better. Hello I have been using chaseplane for a while and I start my sim up and my middle mouse button was not working I am on the stable and I have tried reinstalling restarting and all that. thanks

Hi there, Just re-installed P3D v3 and cannot use any of my assigned controls to move, pan etc. However I can zoom using the assigned controls but thats it. Holding the middle mouse button steady also doesn't bring up the selector wheel thing, and I can't pan with it either. Any help would be appreciated, Alistair McKay

CP raises an error message during the start procedure telling me that some discrepancies were found between what's in the cloud and what's locally available. How can I solve this issue and get rid of this message ? I have absolutely no clue. Thanks Regards, Michael

Hello support I am a beginner of using chase plane Software. I created a few OnBoard and Outside cam positions. To change from inside to outside I select button on the Saitek Cessna yoke and it works well. For the changes of the cam positions I want to use the TAB and the CAPSLOCK key. They are not working. I also tryed to use Numpad keys and they also not working. Chaseplane confirmed to me that they are not used for other functions. I haven't used keys which are used by the addons and the Simulator (P3DV4.1) Thanks for help Roger
