ChasePlane Support

I have a fresh install of P3D v4.1 and have just finished reinstalling all my Orbx scenery. I wanted to check out my new Monterey Regional airport (KMRY) so loaded the sim there. I then Regenerated Airport Data in ChasePlane 0.3.70beta. Going back to presets I could only see KMRZ (Monterey Peninsula Aero Club) in the Static list within 5nm. I could not fine KMRY no matter how far out I went. I looked at the data files generated by ChasePlane and found both airports in "+36-122". Hi all, Have just downloaded chaseplane after buying a new pc and installing p3d v3 and I get the following error message when starting chaseplane: Something unexpected happened :/ It looks like something unexpected occured. A log file will be sent etc etc. What's the fix for this?

Hello everybode, Chaseplane have now gained me.The current version is 0.3.70 Beta. As already written in my post #41 i use the FSX with 6 screens under Win7 64 bit.The individual screens i cover as follows: the main screen with the Captain view, two screens with exterior views, 1 screen for the pedestal, 1 screen for the overhead panel (I set these views directly in the FSX on "views". I use the last screen for the flight planning, currently with FSC. When starting the FSX, Chaseplane automatically loads the main screen with the captain cockpit view. The plane (PMDG 777) is still in cold and dark mode. I can easily switch back and forth between OnBoard, Outside or A…

Hi Keven, When I startup P3D and select my airplane, airfield etc. Then I startup the flight and after 100% loading the screen freezes and getting a CTD. When trying this without CP everything goes well and no CTD. When starting up CP in the flight I get an CTD directly. regards, Raymond PS: using CP version v0.4.101 Beta Exp. Hi, when i assign hat switch to look around cockpit i works fine, but when i move the mouse that also views around cockpit. Also when i exit chaseplane i cant use joystick to view about cockpit. How to i disable mouse movement and am i able to save joystick assignments. Thanks Stevie

Hi, When I press my middle mouse button to pan around, my cursor doesn't seem to hide anymore. It stays visible and also slows down the panning when I move it over the screen. It seems to only be like this on the latest update though. Any help is appreciated. Sam

Chase Plane works fine with P3Dv4 and FSX.SE but will not work with FSX. The option for it to start with FSX is grayed out. Tried editing the registry with VFXCentral and it's grayed out there too. My path to FSX is extremely simple. C:/FS. Do I need to put anything else in the registry editor and if so how? Using beta 0.3.70. Saw others with some version 4.something or other. What is the latest version? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I have trouble to get my yoke's HAT switch to work for panning and tilting. I have deleted any action for the HAT switch in my PREPAR3D V4.1 settings and I have also assined the switch to the panning and tilting function in the Chase Plane settings. All presets are working fine but when I use the HAT switch the view instantly snaps back to the preset view. So I have no panning and tilting movement it just filckers. Same when I try to use my TrackIR. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Greetings from Germany Timo

I like very much the Hot Corners feature. It adds simplicity to the process of changing the views. Just want to know if eventually this feature has or will have a master switch to disable it temporarily instead of going to the different viewing positions and disable each one separatedly, which is something let's say, more permanent. I can't say for sure this is caused by Chaseplane...could be something with P3D4, perhaps? I'm running the latest in non-experimental mode. Sometimes, when I start my sim, my framerates start out about 15...normally they're 30. When it happens I right click->Outside->Spot and my framerate goes back to the 30s. Then I go back inside the airplane where the framerates were 15 and now they're 30.

Hi, noticing issues with CP not loading due to timeout errors (it gets stuck during getting libraries). Not usable for me. I'm in beta (not alpha). Cheers, Ed

hi, I use chase plane with pmdg 737. I have a problem only with external views, i only see pieces of plane, the plane is not loaded completely. I have no problems with internal visuals. What could it be? use p3d v. 4.1 and windows 10. thank you

CP is working normal in FSX and Prepar3dV3 but now it does nothing in Prepar3dV4. The program itself start normal but no reaction on my joystick buttons and also no action on the "my presets". The presets and the aircraft name is in view in the CP screen. I checked several standard aircrafts but no joy. Regards - Jo va Bra

Hi! I just moved to P3DV4 from FSX and tried to reinstall Chaseplane and the VFXCentral. Moved it to the same drive as P3D, but I still get the error when starting up. What to do?

Hello, Today I chaged my monitor to the new 4k one, which allows me to set 30Hz and thus with vsync, tripple buffering, unlimited fps. Unfortnately panning in both inside and outside view is not smooth - is jerky :( When I'm flying, everything seems to work well, especially as with 30Hz I can maintain 30 fps in almost all conditions. The same in case of changing the views - it's not so smooth as before. Previously I had 50Hz with vsync and was very satisfied with smoothness, however I wasn't able to always reach 50 fps. Is it a difference between 30Hz and 50Hz or maybe something still can be changed by me? Does anyone have any ideas please? Maybe …

I use CP together with TrackIR. Afaik the following isn't possible yet: I'd like CP to (smoothly) reset the view whenever I pause TrackIR. As it is now the change of view you get when you use TrackIR remains when I pause TrackIR: due to this all my preset CP views look odd because they all have the TrackIR offset. If you know what I mean. It would be nice to have an option that enables CP to reset that TrackIR offset as soon as you press a hotkey for the CP view you want (with TrackIR paused). Example: I use my hotkey 1 view, the pilot in command main view, and I also use Track IR. I look sideways to the right and then I pause TrackIR. As it is now I still …

Hi guys, Just bought the Chaseplane 2 days ago, due to some windows registry problem, I was force to re-install the windows. Didn't mean to rush anything, just ask if there is any time frame we will receive respond? I already made the activation reset process on website and email. Its just, the software is so important that I consider not to fly without it . Thank you.

I launch ChasePlane for P3D v4. When I entered to ChasePlane the sim pause. How can I enter to ChasePlane setup when I fly in the sim without the pause ???

Hey, So I have had this issue for a while, only a few seconds in and my UI freezes completely all I can do is shutdown. In the simulator its fine. Any ideas? I load Chaseplane after I load the sim. Thanks, Kieran

Hi i have a saitek yoke, what i would like to do with the hat button on the left of yoke is set it up to view around virtual cockpit, and the red button on the right of yoke i would like to set it up so when i press it it will take me outside of aircraft so i can take in the views. is this possible to setup in chaseplane. I have several presets for my cockpit B737NGX. In the Captains seat (PIC) i have pan&tilt movement when MB-mouse is pressed. But for all the other presets (inboard) nothing happens, i can zoom in-out with the MB button, but no pan-tilt? Is pan-tilt movement with MB restricted to just one preset? Outboard all presets have pan-tilt movement with MB. I have checked my settings for all different presets, the are all pretty mutch the same (some exceptions, like scroll zoom), maybe i am missing a setting? (Using Win10/64 - P3Dv4.1 - CP experimental current 0.4.101)

I love the title topic of "these crashes are ridiculous" because I'd love to use it for mine, but yes, they certainly are. Not sure if you get my 5 million crash reports per day since the last major update but if no one is going to watch the debugging I'll shut the damn thing off... Chaseplane can be good, but not if it doesn't work with common things we use, such as force feedback. The old version worked fine with it, no change on my end, the update simply sucks. FIX IT!
