ChasePlane Support

Chaseplane just auto updated to V4.204 and now when I launch any flightsim (Prepar3d V4.1722841) plane the cockpit view just keeps moving backwards. When I click on next view (outside view) the camera moves forward and won't move backwards. If I disable "Global enable" the outside view returns to normal and I can use the hatswitch to move around but in cockpit view it stays where it moved back to which is beyond the cockpit. This problem has happened just after ChasePlane updated itself. I can't find a way to go back to the previous version and I can't fly any of my planes. Appreciate any assistance.Thanks

Keven, With the latest update v0.4.204 CP keeps disconnecting my AP when using the FSX-SE PMDG B738 everytime I change screens. I have to keep reengaging the AP after selecting a new view. Other FSX aircraft seem fine. I have assigned keypad numbers to each view. I notice if I select a view using your main menu then it doesn't happen. Any ideas? Tks Don

How do I reset the camera so when facing the engineer panel it's centered so that when I move my head forward with Track IR I get a closer look at the engineer panel? Right now because the camera is panned 90 degrees when I move my head forward with Track IR it moves left toward the front of the cockpit because it's not realizing I'm panned 90 degrees which is very unnatural.

Just recently installed Chaseplane and I can't move around with my keys on keyboard or joystick. Do I have something turned off or is there a setting to turn this on. I'm stumped, have tried everything.

Hello there, I've been playing around chaseplane... lately, and I'm trying out the gimbal feature. From the wing view (PAX) view, I was hoping to have the camera stay level with the horizon during takeoff/landing, or in general, different pitches. I attached 2 screenies as to what I get, and what I want. When I enable the gimbal and when I pull up, my camera stays level with the horizon... so far so good... but it's as if my window seat moved down to the engine. You'll see what I mean in the pics. One is what I'm getting, and the other is what I want, but having to move up in the view. When I nose in to level flight, the camera stays up above the plane. Send help! …

Hello. When I installed, the context menu when I pressed the middle mouse wheel button was in the middle of the screen where I could use it. However, it is now in the lower right corner of my monitor (not even inside the sim screen if I am not in full screen). I can't figure out how to move it. I can't use it where it is because only about one quarter of it is showing. Any help with this? Thank you. J.

Ok, Everything loads fine and works fine, until about 5-10 minutes of flying and Trackir stops working. Green lights are still on but it has stopped working at this point. I can then close down the trackir program and restart it, but same result after several minutes or so, same thing. Why would it work fine for minutes and then suddenly stop?! It seems weird that it has about 5-10 minutes of running time?! It never used to do this before, so I assume chaseplane might be playing a part??? I will test some other programs today to see if it is the same result. Bruce

For years of my flight simming experiences since way back when all aircraft lurched off runways, programs crashed more times than aircraft and clouds looked like Lego bricks, there has never been a more satisfying piece of software than ChasePlane that works straight out of the box. After too many years struggling with camera software that is either unstable or requires a masters degree in computor science to understand setting up just one camera, it is an utter joy to use and probably the most intuitive software in the field of flight sim. ChasePlane updated to v0.4, but it doesn't work with P3D v3.2. Your P3D version is not supported yet. ChasePlane hasen't been updated for P3D v3.2.3.16769 yet. We are working around the clock to make it compatible. Until then, Smooth Zoom and Static Cameras are disabled. Thank you for your patience. P3d v3.2 was always supported! Before the update, ChasePlane was fine! And if i run the non-experimental, it keeps on crashing when i click "Cameras" Help!

I am new to this wonderful program. Using in FSX. I do not use FSUIPC. When I first set it up, I assigned axes and buttons to my Logitech Gamepad controller and set about making my camera views. That included panning functions which worked fine. Then I discovered that I have to assign views including panning functions to my Saitek Yoke hat switch to use in the simulator. I deleted the POV assignments on my Yoke in FSX to avoid conflict. Now interestingly when I went to program the POV Hat switch on my Yoke in Chaseplane, I realized that the buttons were already assigned to the Gamepad, and searching the forum, it appears that multiple controllers are not supported. I've had to re-build my Windows 10 install and in the process of setting up P3Dv4.2 again (bleh). So I don't have to re-do 1,000 camera settings and button.joystick mappings within ChasePlane, can someone tell me where the preferences/settings file is so that I can copy it from my Windows.old folder?

Hi Kevin: Here is the problem. Chaseplane freezes on initialization. I uninstalled and reinstalled, chaseplane said it fixed a corrupt p3 d file, then froze again on initializatrion. Any help would be appreciated. Version 4.198 beta Lon Duncombe

How can I remove my all cameras from my chaseplane, i have been reseted my computer, but the cameras is saved in fsfx database, how can i reset my chaseplane, delete all cameras from all aircrafts?

how do I get realistic shakes /bumps and vibration effects with CP ? I have everything on default now and those effects do not feel realistic at all ? Thanks

Hello all, First off hands down one of the best addons for flightsimming, love it and thanks for all the hard work you guys put in. I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a cinematic camera for the cockpit. A view that would say float diagonally across the flight deck in different angles or slowly zoom in or out from various instruments. No big deal just thought it would be a cool addition. I’ve looked through the many options for tweaking external views of the aircraft but I can’t find a way to vary the speed of the external view camera. It switches views at a constant speed which I would like to slow down. I’m using F to cycle through the views. Perhaps that’s the problem. I can usually find solutions but this one has me beat. Odd when the overall program is so intuitive.

Hi Keven, I have just installed TechnoBrain RJTT scenery and am getting a lot of flickering which stops when I close ChasePlane. Moving the cursor seems to remove the flickering but only for about 1 second. A video of the effect is shown at https://youtu.be/d0ZmRcafwLs Can you help, please?

Hi guys, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong here. I start out with a preset, and I change its location, hit save, and then go back to the preset and it's not updated. This happens a lot, where sometimes it saves, sometimes it doesn't. Always happens with the zoom, so if I modify a preset, change the zoom (using +/- within P3D) and update the changed preset, it doesn't save. I recently had a virus on my system which necessitated a complete reinstall of windows / p3d, all plug ins.... After I got CP installed, my hat switch on my FF stick isn't panning. The assignment is set correctly in the P3d interface, yet it doesn't work. Not sure if this is a CP issue or not. Appreciate any help. Thanks
