ChasePlane Support

Hi Keven and all, have recently left FSXSE for P3D, a move which was combined with getting a new PC (8700k, 1080Ti, 32Gb, Win10 home). Installed CP (all my settings were transferred from the cloud) and made the necessary exclusion on firewall as well as deleted the duplicate button assignments for panning in P3D (normal mode and slew/observer mode). Currently (last week) using CP with A2A C182 and PMDG 744 (just installed) and I noticed serious stuttering in camera transition and panning. Disabled game mode as per some relevant forum posts, i have not however tried any affinity mask settings, have not concluded to the proper way to find my values. …

Hi I have just upgraded my pc and installed p3dv4 and was wondering on how to install chase plane since I had it with fsx. Reason on asking is I download the vfx central and downloaded chase plane and it started to install fsx Microsoft simconnect I think didn't take much noticed since I aborted the install or doesn't it matter if it does?

Ok i have a big gripe with Chaseplane and that is every time you guys push out and update two things happen. 1) The app crashes, tells me it cant download or cant update something then CTD's. 2) I loose all my presets. Do you know how long it takes to setup presets? Im sick and tired of having to spend hours upon hours fixing presets or starting all over again. Take for example that last update. The program started updating then crashed telling me it couldn't update something and that it was going to disable this and that. In the meantime, i lost all my 737 777 presets. No presets at all. Good morning, i have a Problem with ChasePlane. When i try to start chase Plane i get the following erro message: <censored log file>

Looks like Gimbal option (P3D) doesn't save, I have to re-enable it every CP session. If this is "by design" could I request an option to save the setting? Cheers, Rob.

Hello guys, never had an issue with chase and I love it but I have a question, whats the best or more realistic zoom for the captain view on the 737, 777 and 747? I use 0.7 or 1.0 when can but I looking for some feedback, also if anyone can share their setup for any of these aircraft I will appreciated! Thanks for any support!

I have been trying to install CP on my secondary computer system, with no fix from oldprop support. I keep getting the response that I need a different email account to activate on my secondary computer. Since I have recently purchased CP again for this purpose, I do not understand the requirement of a different email account. This to me is a game stopper for this wonderful CP software. Has anyone else experienced this awkward requirement to activate the CP?

Hi, Since the very latest update (18th July 2018) I have noticed that the move up/down no longer functions in static camera and most camera movements are extremely slow. I have even put camera movement boost up to 20x but it hasn't changed anything - camera is still as slow as a snail. I have tried both the stable and experimental versions and the same is in both. Any help? Thanks.

Hi All, cp launch automaticly with P3d and the context menu is already there before using the middle mouse button, i ve installed cp after a complete new clean installation of win10 and P3d 4.3, i ve uninstalled a couple of time cp but without any succes, however during the first i stallation i am not sure is the step by step exclusion guide was done as it should also when retempting a new cp re installation i don t had any more the step by step guide exclusion. rgds sid

Hi, I bought a year ago CP and used it a short while before I decided to go back to the 'other'. Reason were the unstable versions caused by continuously adding new features. Now a year further, I'm wondering if CP is feature ready and out of beta? I searched for some information but couldn't find it. If still not feature ready, is there a time frame defined?

ChasePlane automatically upgraded to v0.4.212 Beta, I had no control over it!? And the problem started, but in FSX only. No problem in P3D3, ChasePlane starts with P3D3, sees TrackIR and P3D, both icons green and works perfectly in game ChasePlane starts with FSX (boxed), but there's no TrackIR propeller symbol, only bracketed airplane icon which turns green. In game, no TrackIR If I start ChasePlane on its own, it sees my TrackIR and shows propellor icon in red. The moment I start FSX, the propeller symbol disappears and only bracketed airplane icon appears and turns green, no sign of TrackIR and nothing in-game. What is going on here?

Hello folks, Since the last update (with option to exclude Windows Defender/AV scan) I've been having this weird issue. Chase plane starts (kinda) and shows on the Windows Taskbar but with the word "Initializing" not a view of the presets. Clicking or hovering over the Taskbar icon does nothing. Chaseplane is running in the background and I can use mapped joystick button to switch from virtual cockpit to outside, then flip between presets. I cannot get to the other presets however as the application doesn't show up on the desktop. Thanks for any help with this. Cheers!

Hi, So it's been a while since I have been able to jump on the sim but I went on and let ChasePlane update - then started fsx se. I loaded a flight with my trusty A2A Comanche and pressed shift-8 to bring up the walkaround 2D panel. So far so good. As soon as I click the arrow on the panel to move to the next or previous item, it doesn't change view properly and opens up a load of A2A 2D panels. This used to work for me when I was last in the sim by pressing the previous item arrow but now none of them work. Has anyone else had this problem? Sorry if this has been reported already I did a search but didn't see anything. Thanks Jim

I have a weird problem. When I move my mouse to the fsx menu bar, the view will change by itself to an outside spot view? I then have to go back to my cockpit view manually? Using FSX and W10 In order to troubleshoot this, I deleted all assignments (joystick and Keyboard) from my views but it still does it Thank you

For quite some time CP and the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25 played nicely together! Then something went wrong. When in interior view the views keep changing rapidly by themselves. Ther is no way to stop them. If I change to an outside view all is ok and my presets work fine. I have deleted all the presets for this aircraft and CP still flashes when in On Board view. Imported a new set of presets and am getting the same thing. This is the only aircraft this is happening with. I have uninstalled an reinstalle the aircraft several times. Any ideas?

Hello, I've got the keys: up,down, right, left, pagup and pagdown removed from the P3Dv4.3 And I am using Chaseplane 0.4.212 Then, in Preferences-> Control Assignments, the mentionated keys assigned to forward, backward, move right, move left, move up and move down. The problem I have is that the forward moves too fast, that's impossible to control, it goes outside the plane right away. The rest of the control assignments move smothly without problems. Any ideas why this odd behavior? JordiRab

I have got everything with mouse in the preferences turned off and still if I move my mouse across the screen the view changes. Anyone have any idea why that could be happening. Thanks for any help!

In cinematic mode, with Enable HDR override enabled, the screen does a 2nd fadeout-fadein effect after changing to a new view. Hi all, Loving the progress of Chase Plane! One quick question that I know is pretty specific. I have the Corsair K95 keyboard which has an extra 18 "G" keys that you can map in the Corsair Utility. I have traditionally mapped these keys to extra F keys (F13 through F24). I have always found these useful with EZDOC for assigning to different views. In Chase Plane I seem to be unable to select the G-keys past F15 (ie 3 extra keys). Any ideas if there is a fix for this please! It would be most appreciated!! Many thanks and keep up the good work. Hi! I've ran into a issue, it all happened randomly yesterday with no clue of what it could be. When I'm in the cockpit switching views it works completely fine but when i press my button (Numpad key 8 ) It freezes the view in the cockpit and nothing happens, when i press the key again it unfreezes and i can switch views in the cockpit with no further problems. I can switch to the outside view by right clicking and set the view to outside but cant use the key to get back into the cockpit either. I've tried everything even reinstalling chaseplane with no results. Hope anyone else knows what it can be 😄 Thx in Advance!

Hello, I have a problem with chaseplane. let me explain. I bought the product all is well, I receive an email to download vfxcentral that I install. I enter the key. and nothing happens ... chaseplane the cursor does not go green to say that the product is there, but where is it? 😕

Does anyone know if or how to set virtual walls for Chaseplane??? I hate going through the windows when sometimes panning around. Gary
