ChasePlane Support

Hi, I have my frames for P3D locked at 40fps with Dxtory. When I open P3D and turn on the Frame Monitor for P3D and open the G-Sync COunter on my monitor, I can see tey are both displaying 40fps. When I then start Chaseplane, my P3D monitor stays displaying 40fps, but the monitor G-Sync counter goes up to 80fps. Does anyone have any idea why? My sim is so much better with G-Sync working correctly.

I am running the beta option for Chaseplane. When it auto updated, now when I start Chaseplane, it won't go past the screen where it is verifying my computer ID. Now what do I do? Pete

The manual writes " You can stabilize the camera to the horizon level using the gimbal feature. Stabilization features like the Gimbal are experimental and may be jittery when the aircraft is rotating." Flew FSX after a few months' lapse and ChasePlane did 2 updates, first to v0.3.74 and then to v0.4.204. I did get a chance to fly around after the first update v0.3.74 and all was well. However, after it updated to v0.4.204, my default FSX views didn't work anymore. For example the joystick keybind for "next category" (S-key on keyboard) would jump directly to the Chaseplane exterior view and I'm therefore unable to use the "next in category" view (A key on keyboard). The view would stay stuck on the Chaseplane exterior view and I would be unable to cycle the various views with the A key/joystick assignment. I want to share my experience with motion effects and the Majestic dash. I have set the acceleration to 1 and the gyroscopic also to 1 or 2. it seems the gyroscopic has not the bad side effect than the acceleration does have. I have tuned the acceleration via the tune function seperately from standard 1 down to 0.50(all 3 sliders). I am flying with AS16 tuned down the turbulenceeffect to 50. For now it works well. By tuning the sliders seperately you can have a nice effect without problems and harsh movements. In my opinion the turbulence effects from the majestic is not that good and is only present in icing conditions. Hope for future improvements on this. By …

Hi everyone, I did a flight yesterday and Chaseplane kept disconnecting from P3D. I recognized that it must have something to do with Ivao/IvAp client because prior to the disconnect or when it tries to connect again, it's doing anything with the IvAp folder where all the MTLs are stored. When i hovered my mouse over the Upper right corner I was able to see that. I already tried to generate a report file and Chaseplane says that it was generated and stored on my desktop, but i cant find anything, no matter how often I generate it.

Hi! I get this message when I program keys and buttons in ChasePlane and then CP shut down. Basic I can not use CP in present condition. This message also comes up when I turn off P3Dv4.2

Hi, I am just a couple days into figuring out ChasePlane. I successfully set the views I wanted in one aircraft [Alebeo Seminole] and today was trying to get proper views for the F-27. To adjust the views for the Seminole I used the up arrow and down arrow to correct the fisheye effect. It worked great! Today on the F-27 I have all views that I want except the up and down arrow to correct the zoom in and zoom out to correct the fisheye. It will not let me assign the arrows even though it says they are available; and there is no conflict in the sim or FSUIPC. I would think that I could use the same up and down arrows on all aircraft. Just got this error today when starting FSX. Looks like an update was pushed to version 0.4.165.0 I sent the error report as instructed.

Hi: Today Chase plane is not working on my FSX Sim. It means key commands not responding, but the chase menu is working properly. At the same time, FSUIPC does not show up form the add-on bar menu. I don't know if those issues are related. I asked on FSUIPC forum and they send me to here. Any help? Best IPA

Hello. Recently I've been having a menu bar come up at the top of my screen. It depicts as a bluish color and runs across the whole entire top screen, it's not the P3D menu bar. Does anyone know how I can stop it from popping up, it's quite annoying, I can't interact with it either.

Has anyone gotten ChasePlane to work with the A2A Connie? There was a fix mentioned that required a reinstallation of the Connie which I did. When I try to load the Connie the ChasePlan program hangs. I read somewhere that there was an aircraft.cfg modification. Does anyone have that modification? Alan

@Keven Menard I am on v0.1.710 Hat switch panning of views has some awkward changes. I have assigned the 4 joystick (Warthog) hat switch keys for panning-up-down-left-right in CP. There is no axis or keys for it assigned in P3D Controls settings. When I move in default P3D external (Outside - Spot) view when I pan UP or DOWN the view RESETS to rear (6 o'clock position) and then moves up or down. Any left or right movement moves it left or right BUT with the slightest click of UP or DOWN it goes back to 6 o' clock lateral position. In VC cockpit view when I make any view move with the hat switch there is a stutter / jitter (whatever its called…

Just picked up ChasePlane a few days ago. Great product and it was working well until I launched P3D today. I get a "Something Unexpected Happened Here" Message. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, it launches at first, grabs an update, then gives me the same message again. Anyone else having this issue?

It took Keven only a few minutes to get Chase Plane working for me and I am already sold on it. Somehow I had missed the latest P3D v3 update. A quick download of the latest CLIENT from LM and the cameras immediately worked for me. Really am impressed with the accuracy of camera placement.....truly an improvement over previous apps. Hi guys... with the new QW787 when exit from P3D, CP don't auto shutdown. With all other aircraft, include majestic, pmdg and fslabs...no problem and CP autoclose after exit p3d. Any idea?

Hi, wonder if anyone can help me with solving this problem: I run p3dv4.2 in window mode and have set cameras up through Chase Plane and normally everything is working ok. Recently though everytime my mouse arrow on screen goes near the task bar at the bottom the view inside airplane keeps changing automatically!! At the moment it only happens on 1 airplane...so i reset everything to default the problem still occurs as it does if i delete the cameras file so i then uninstalled chase plane and reinstalled it. The problem remains.

Hello I wanted to express my disappointment. Chaseplane no longer works for me because my Max activations are reached. I do not understand this now because my new computer has been in operation for more than 3 weeks. Why is this mistake only now and even if it is weekend and time to fly. Can not perform a flight without chaseplane well. Find that a pity and wanted to express that once. Purchased it last week and still unable to get a plane setup. I have watched three U tube tutorials (one of them twice). They jump from screen to screen and really do not just simplify how to get a profile step-by-step. All the praises from users leads me to believe that either they are all Mensa or I am losing it. Following some of the steps exactly, my screens do not show/respond as the tutorial. Even going to the community to search for a camera, clicking on the green preview buttons for various views often does not even show the view described. Hello everyone. Recently, during flights I lose complete control of the plane and all Chase Plane function. Restarting the APP does not work either. I have the latest FSUIPC installed. After this happens or at the same time I lose Active Sky 16 connection. What I did was disables GSX and not launch Active Sky. Same thing happens again. Not sure why this is happening but I can only think of it being a recent experimental update. These are just my thoughts after extensively testing this for about 16 hours. When I do not use Chase Plane and the other SimConnect addons I do not have any issues. Thoughts? Thanks,

Hello, is there way to set for example three or more cameras position and move the camera from 1st pos to 2nd pos and then to 3rd pos, ...? I'd like to do this with chaseplane to make a movie. If there is not, so I guess it would be a nice function to implement it. Your NobuMa

Each time CP has reported the need to modify some files then ALL the defaults are back. I then must "fix" Traffic %, ATC window, Crash detection, Pause on task, etc. None of these need to be reset by any program. If it IS CP, then how can I prevent it? Thanks N Howard
