ChasePlane Support

Each time I attempt to start ChasePlane, it states there is a conflict with windows defender, it will add an exclusion. It attempts to configure after I agree, and then states that an error has occurred, and do I want to restart ChasePlane. It does it all over again and wont configure, sending me around in circles. I have used ChasePlane for sometime now with windows Defender without issue, I do have exclusion on. It only happened today when I started up P3Dv4.3. It worked yesterday and last night. I have uninstalled and reinstalled without success. Regards Brian

I can't get any presets from the community. Do they exist for these two add ons?

Hello! I love chaseplane. I had an idea for a feature. It isnt a big practical feature, more for immersion. I think about the possibility to make a "camera run" and record it for a specific airplane. For example, you load your plane and with an shortcut you are placed beside of the airplane. Now you can "walk" with the normal camera movement, or an own "walk mode" which simulates walking and board the plane via the stairs. Here comes the already implemented door function in play. But you can record the walk from outside right to the pilot seat. Here you do your preflight items and then you do the walkaround. You can now play again a pre-recorded walk, leaving yo…

Hello, For your record Windows Defender does not run on Windows 7 ! Only MSE. A lot of your users will complain about that behaviour which make ChasePlane looking like a Virus ! I had to exit and restart ChasePlane to get it working "as expected" My 2 cents... Gérard

Hello, I have make a support request a few weeks ago also to Keven, which responded as always, but there seems no solution. Now my request goes to the community here if anyone has an idea or even has it observed also on his system. My problem is, that I see reproduceable a high CPU load of about 12-13% due to the task MsMpEng.exe when Chaseplane is running. MsMpEng.exe is a part of Windows defender (real time scan?). I have just bought the Maddog X and tried to find community presets, but I get a message saying there was "sn error processing your request, please try again later." I presume there are community presets for the Maddog, so I am a bit at a loss.

Hello, Over the past few weeks while simming I have been having some performance issues ansd stuttering on my simulator. After some investigation I found out that while P3D was running my Windown Antimalware Service Executable (MsMpENG.exe process) was utilising high portion of my CPU (15-20%). Especially P3D being CPU haevy software it started to max out my CPU and bottleneck perfromance. Now after even further investigation I got it narrowed down to ChasePlane, because starting simulator without it doesn't cause this Windows Defender process to raise, but as soon as I start ChasePlane it goes to 15-20% again. I’ve done a new install of P3D (4.3) Chaseplane has installed fine (using latest exp version), all my old configs have been loaded. Just one problem. I can’t adjust the VC pilot view position BACKWARDS using the CP UI. Trying to do so jumps the cameras viewpoint to a random external model viewpoint (not one set by me). This also happens when I use the Xbox controller to adjust the position backwards. I can move the seat backwards very minimally before this happens - and interestingly, while the minimal backward movement is happening, the numerical parameters of the seat position in the UI remains static. Hi Kevin, The most recent experimental update, (v. 0.4.210), which was supposed to address this issue, doesn't seem to be working quite as intended. When I close out of the sim, there is a stray Chaseplane process that continues to run preventing the app from auto starting in the next P3D4 session. I ran the report from the UI which is indicating "Experimental Version=False" although I am indeed running the experimental version. Chase Plane button keys working fine, X-box controller is not working. Tried an uninstall through VFX Central with a reinstall with no luck. Looks like my original settings were kept, so for the heck of it I tried to change them and X-box controller is not recognized, I tried changing the key settings and those worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Keven, Just a small issue I've found today when updating the MaddogX with a full reinstall: the latest version of CP doesn't correct the camera definitions of the external (added using the add-on.xml method) aircraft.cfgs anymore. I tried to put the aircraft folder inside the main P3D simobject folder and then the camera definition have been corrected by CP. Seems like something was messed up during the latest update. I have tried re installation, disabling Affinity core 0 in P3D (Screenshot below), and that's all I could find. Every time I try to change my view or to zoom in, I dont get the smooth transitions like I used to. (https://youtu.be/bA2vEIyXHfU) And also sometimes I get the problem that I cant pan my view / move around in the sim, I can only zoom and the only way to fix it is to completely restart my P3D. HIa ll I just had to do a full reinstall of my pc (don't ask...) SO, trying a short hop from lowi to loww..but whenever I use my 1 to 9 keys, or move the camera via middle mouse button, it stutters and chops. it isn't th framerate, but something else. Any tips? vkr vic

Hello, I have been using ChasePlane for some time now. Thank you for it! Recently, I have purchased and set up successfully FaceTrackNoIR - a head tracking alternative to TrackIR. It works actually quite well for the little € it costs. However - ChasePlane does not support this great low-cost head tracking software :-( Would you please consider having a look into this in future? As far as I know, and by no means I am an expert in the topic, FaceTrackNoIR launches a dummy TrackIR.exe in order to work with X Plane 11. May this be a way how to get ChasePlane work alongside with FaceTrackNoIR also for P3D? Thank you for your feedback. Kind regard…

Chase Plane won't start either automatically with P3D v4.3 or by itself. Get a message saying "It looks like something unexpected occurred. A log file will be sent to FSFX packages automatically". This just started today with no problems prior to or after P3D v4.3 upgrade. Rebooting computer didn't help. Jim

I'm experiencing a major problem with my ChasePlane product. It keeps stuttering when i pan around or move around in the cockpit & exterior. My hardware isn't the problem, as I just bought this computer a few days ago, and here are it's specs: Intel core i7-8700 @ 3.2Ghz Nvidia GTX 1070 MSI Monitor @ 144Hz I uninstalled and reinstalled ChasePlane, and the stuttering wasn't as bad. But, when i disable ChasePlane and use the spacebar to pan around, it is very smooth! And my FPS is steady between 60 to 70 FPS. Hi I have run into an issue where P3dv4.2 crashes to desktop when exiting the sim, only when ChasePlane and the PMDG 747 QOTS v3 are running. This does not happen with the PMDG 737NGX or Majestic Dash 8 or any default aircraft. It also does not happen with the PMDG 747 when Chaseplane is not running or installed. I have tried changing settings in ChasePlane, removing presets, checking for key assignment conflicts, restoring to defaults and reinstalling both Chaseplane and the PMDG 747. Hello there, I have CP installed on P3Dv4.2 with a 2 monitor PC, a 21:9 for the flight deck and a 16:9 to the left of it that always displays the L/H wing view and any other GUI I have running in P3D.. I can save a flight in this situation using the additional "native in sim" views provided in the Camera def for the aircraft, but the Wing View is not to my liking. I have set up a CP wing view that is perfect for me, but there is no option to undock the window and have that view on the LH Monitor My question is does Chaseplane write the Camera co-ordinates for each view you have created in CP in a file somewhere on the PC?, If so I can hopefully just copy th…

I have a problem with the PMDG NGX where the hatswitch on my x52 moves in 90 degree but does not pan smoothly, only on theat plane. How do I delete chase plane completely with all registry entries etc? I think there is still some entry which influences the hatswitch. Thanks for your help. Bernd Jablonka
