ChasePlane Support

Hi there Chaseplane is working pretty well in VR at the moment thank you even if it is only an accident! Main things that are broken are that static view only works in mono and HDR changes don't work for both eyes (at least last time I checked) But since VR is not officially supported it is possible that new releases of Chaseplane could break VR and that it won't get fixed because it is not supported. So is it possible to prevent updates? VR is important to my flying and don't want to loose Chaseplane functionality in the future. Thanks

Very good product overall.. Apart from the replay not being reliable, the only other major issue I noticed is poor fps.. I'm definitely losing about 8 - 10 fps after starting chase plane.. I have tested this with different aircraft, different airports etc.. Same result.. Why should an external camera system have any impact on Sim performance.. 10 fps drop for a camera system is unacceptable esp in p3d where we are already struggling with an old Sim platform.. Also is it doing anything with shaders?

Greetings all! I've been having an issue with runways disappearing at certain angles at a few ORBX region airports (smaller ones, usually with only one runway). Good afternoon Chaseplane suppport, My query concerns a topic that has been discussed previously, however all previous requests seem to be outdated in terms of Chaseplane version, as well as they dont carry exactly the same combination of errors I have been experiencing. Yes, those pesky stutters and lag when panning or switching between camera views... I first started experiencing this when I installed PTA and Reshade. Is there any way to speed up walking around in static camera walkaround mode? It's a bit slow for my liking. With it enabled, none of the camera speed preferences seem to have an effect. Thank you.

Hi, I am using P3D v4.4. and I have the following problem: When I change the views using keyboard shortcuts (like ctr+shift+1) sometimes (not always) the GUI of chase plane pops up. Using exact the same keys sometimes works, sometimes the GUI pops up. Even using the menu withe the mouse and selecting FSUIPC leads to opening the GUI. I have checked that I have no conflicting key bindings. I use a fresh install on my new computer, P3D v4.4. Greetings Henrik

Hi there, I disabled all motion effects for every view in the 747-8 however it seems that I still get texture flickering in the background in far off terminals etc. Not sure why I get this but I run a 4k monitor with 4XSSAA and cant seem to figure out why.

Hi there! For the past month, about 10-20 minutes into loading in my sim, my vpilot will say there was a simulator lockup. Some of my planes' flight controls stop working, but also, I cannot switch view categories from the cockpit to the outside without doing it manually. This has caused me to bin almost all of my flights. I came here because I'm pretty sure chaseplane is causing it. I've sent it a report through preferences and reinstalled.

I would like to be able to set a default view (to outside the a/c) instead of starting up inside the aircraft. Is there any way to do this?

I just noticed that if I import an existing preset from another one of my aircraft, the motion effects are not being imported. As if advanced features not being enabled to an imported preset. Is there a way to import to include the motion effects properly?

I know this issue has probably been addressed but if anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be grateful. After installing ChasePlane, when I opened it I got an error message saying "Looks like something unexpected occured. A log file will sent to OldProp automatically the next time you launch ChasePlane. Sorry for the incovenience." I allowed permissions within my Windows defender for ChasePlane.exe and the ChasePlane bridge.exe but it is still showing the same error.

I am on p3d v4.4 and I was having some issues with the leonardo maddog that basically made me decide to do a clean install of windows and p3d. I'm in the process of reinstalling my sceneries (like 130 sceneries), and I keep running into a CTD (Kernalbasedll.dll). Interestingly, what fixes the issue is running vfx central. It does the "walking around inspection" and appears to recognize some aircraft that have long been installed. P3D then boots normally. Each time I get the kernalbase CTD, running vfx central prior to opening p3d fixes it. I'm just curious as to what could be going on.

One particular aircraft has corrupted camera presets - is there a simple way to reinstall them rather than deleting and recreating each one over again? The aircraft no longer shows up in the choices to import so I cannot import them back in.

chase plane works in some planes but not in others, middle mouse button wont pan view or zoom saved outside views not correct views I had saved for the plane, get a weird from inside the back portion of plane, one planemaker notice this problem in are a2a planes Steve

Hello If I select my preset views using the windows interface, P3D window mode is unselected, even with " Pause on Task Switch" unchecked. I have to select the P3D window again after changing views. How can I resolve this...what have I missed. I have browsed the manual without success Clive Alexander

Hello, is there a master setting for the pan/roll/tilt and zoom speeds when using the mouse look toggle or do I have to individually adjust it for every view in every aircraft? Thanks

I've had 2 separate CTDs now.. First CTD - advanced features turned on = CTD Second flight - advanced features turned off = no CTD Third flight - advanced features on and experimental on = CTD What could be causing this? I'm thinking this is not likely caused by other add-ons I have as I've never encountered CTDs in my P3D v4.4 before until after I installed CP.

Good day Kevin, I have noticed lately that while panning inside or outside of the aircraft causes the dynamic lighting to flicker on and off. This happens with landing lights, VC lighting and dynamic lighting at the airports. Should " Running your simulator with a clean directory configuration" help fix this? I never deleted this before. I take it is the same as the shaders and the p3d.cfg in that on restart it rebuilds its self. And if I do delete, do I need to do anything else like reinstall the oldprop effects? Thanks Keino

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. In my Majestic Software Q400 I try to change the altitude on the MCP altitude dial and it scrolls up to sometimes 1500 then back to zero. I cannot get it to set any higher and or stay there. I completely don't know if the problem refers to ChasePlane but the fact is that it appeared after last update of ChasePlane. Furthermore I changed nothing else in my sim since my last flight when everything works properly (a few days ago). Any ideas? Regards, Marcin
