ChasePlane Support

Hello Experts Since 2 weeks ago I installed P3D v4.4 and I still have FSX in use. For the new P3D I made several presets with different camera positions. In the preferences menue FSX and P3D are selected with green flags. If I try to assign keyboard arrows in the Assign Key Menue and confirm it after with the green hook, finally the key board arrow is not safed and the arrow I choosed is diappeared. In my FSX this camera change function works very well with the green hook the keycoard arrow can be safed. Hope for help Roger

Hi Keven, I'm new to ChasePlane after using EZDOK for years with FSX. Recently built an entire new PC rig for P3D. Due to the many positive reviews, I chose ChasePlane for my new install of P3D v4.4 2 questions: 1. I installed ChasePlane and OldProps etc as admin. However, each time I start P3D, I get a pop-up box requesting permission (must click OK) to start it (also another pop-up box for FSFX packages). Any way I can circumvent this from occurring? 2. Also, I noticed that if there has been no keystroke or movement of my joystick controller for a set period of time, the view automatically changes to an external view? Couldn't see t…

Hello, i have a weird and annoying issue since last version, the view dezoom and come back to the normal view just after alone very very often, i thought it was using the wheel mouse but the parameter is uncheck. Thanks JM

Hi everybody, In Camera -> Advanced, all options with the right click mouse work fine with "Master" sliders but not work at all with the others (Keyboard, Controller, Interface Slider,and Mouse). Theses right click options are : Reset to default, Make it default, Apply to every preset and Apply to all with the same name. Is something I need to configure somewhere? Thanks to support.

Hello, not really complaining, but CP development is a little bit slowed down it seems? There are some threads with ideas, some dated to 2017, but which have been never developed as far as I can say. As example: steering anticipation tied to tiller or divided in to air and ground mode is not implemented, or? Portals or walls do not work (correctly) (And I asked for CP cameras in 2nd views/windows, but you told me once it is not #1 on list and other times that it won' come. I'm having a problem in which ChasePlane is negating some FSUIPC settings. In particular, I have some switches programmed through FSUIPC via iFly 737 keyboard commands for the external lighting. All works fine if ChasePlane is not open, but as soon as I open it the switches stop working. I am aware that ChasePlane interferes with some functioning of my CH yoke and have accepted that, but now this additional problem is making me wonder if the program, as good as it is for what it does, is not worth the trouble. Has anybody else out there had similar problems. I am wondering if I using FSUIPC offsets will overcome the problem, but have yet to try that. -Ed

My computer crashed and I had to reinstall Windows and many of my FS software. Unfortunately, when I request a password reset email via the Oldprop website, the email does not arrive. I have tried multiple times and also submitted a support request via the oldprop website. I have double checked my SPAM and JUNK mail folders and do not find anything there. I have also had several other password email reset from other websites due to the same issue (reinstall Windows) and all of them have arrived...so I'm sure it is not my email. IN FSX and P3dv4 I find the top down view helpful to quickly orient myself when moving about an airport. I tried to recreate these views in Chaseplane by moving to the proper perspective above the airplane, but unlike the default views native to the sim, fog and clouds can obscure the view making it worthless. is there a way to recreate the default top down view in Chaseplane without weather interfering? I posted this in the P3d forum not knowing there was a chaseplane forum. I apologize for the duplicate post. Can you add some advice? I am just curious if anyone has a good mix of settings for the motion effects for Chaseplane; in particular with an A320 or 737. I've messed around with them a ton but can't find the right mix and wanted to know if anyone else out there has found a mix that they like. I also realize it is personal preference but would love a good starting point and go from there. THanks!

Hi I purchased Chaseplane last saturday. Unfortunately since day 1 I‘m not able to use it. The Programm chrashes each time I try to start it. Always when the start screen shows „initialise aircraft and presets“ it crashes. I reinstalled many times, cleaned the registry, deactivated even the firewall and Ativirus. I run it as admin and I realy have no idea what more to do. I sent several Crashlogs to [email protected] but didn‘t get an answer:-( I hope that some of you can help me out. Morning, I'm a new user to Chaseplane which I purchased and installed yesterday. I cannot seem to add preset camera positions. If I move the camera to a new position e.g. right seat and press the '+' symbol to add a preset, a pop up appears asking me to enter a name but I cannot type anything at all in this box, nothing happens. I have rebooted the system, keyboard works fine and works in the sim but in the Chaseplane UI it does nothing. This is for any aircraft. I watched a few tutorial videos last night in case I was doing something wrong but cannot get it to work. Any ideas what is disabling my keyboard when the UI is open? Chris Ibbotson

Hi, Just got ChasePlane installed, what a impressive add-on. Thanks. I just have one question: I am practicing creating preset for the Aerosoft A319 professional in P3D v4.4, I have created two on-board views one called pilot and the other one called Pedestal. I can toggle from one to the other one ok, they are both cockpit views. But when I load the aircraft scenario in P3D, ChasePlane defaults too a view that represent the passenger area of the plane. I didn't create that on-board view and it doesn't show in the list of on-board view in Chaseplane. I would like to have the plane loading the pilot on-board view as a default and delete that passenger view if I can. …

Hi Everyone! A couple years ago i bought CP and could not get it to work with more that one aircraft. Lots of you have great success with it, so I downloaded a new version yesterday. Since the original download, I have changed yokes to the Brummer yoke that has 3 buttons on the left and 3 on the right. I have one button programmed for parking brake, nothing else. My keyboard is a normal one. I do not have a joy stick and probably will not get one. I am getting old and not computer literate, and would like some suggestions on how to best program different views. For GA aircraft probably need only 5 views, and for the F-27, S340 and Phenom 300, maybe 7-8 views. What k…

Hello, I would like to use two hats to control pan, one being on my yoke and the other being on the device I use as Steering Tiller. Is there any way to do that with ChasePlane ? Thanks in Advance, Malo

Is this a Chaseplane issue? It doesn't seem to happen anywhere else, at least not to this level. The only other airport I've seen it happen at is EGLL Aerosoft.

I use the Named Assignments extensively and I have the following mapping: Instruments - F Key Wing - V Key Pilot - R Key Chase - C Key Reset Camera - E Key Movement - WASD This works brilliantly and all aircraft have a standard expected pattern. Planes with many pilot or instrument views (e.g Instruments (Lights), Instruments (Radios), can be quickly cycled through with the F Key. This has revolutionised P3D for me. But what I have found realised is that the next level would be to be able to Cycle backwards through a Named Assignment list just like you can with standard Presets. Hi There. Hopefully this will be an easy fix from someone more knowledgeable than myself. I have multiple exterior views mapped to one of the hat switches on my thrustmaster Warthog joystick. When I close down P3D and start up the next time, only one exterior view is available for each position on the hat switch. All the bindings for the various views show in the chaseplane window but none of the views will work unless I go back into the options and rebind them to hat switch again. This works fine again until I shutdown P3D again then I have to do the same again next time I start the sim. This happens for all the aircraft I have. …

Firstly let me say this is a great example of excellent well thought out UI design built by someone who actually uses the software! From a fellow application designer great job, the ability to jump in a new plane and within a few minutes have your views and controller setup to a common 'theme' you are used to is brilliant. The gimball is nice and the head movement stuff makes a massive difference to the sense of flying the aircraft. I used Opus for many years and it was a pain to setup! So thank you. Hi! After the latest exp. update I am experiencing microstutters while panning around in the cockpit or in cinematic mode. Reverting back to the stable version resolves the issue. Anyone is having the same problem? Thx

Hi, I have been doing some testing. I have a decent system, GPU is my weak link being a GTX 1060 6GB. I can use the 1/2 refresh rate trick and it works pretty well, however it ruins the chase planes smoothness. At 30fps it looks horrible! At 60fps (which I can't run all the time, because my specs aren't high enough) it looks perfect! Is there any way I can remove the blurry movement? Thanks, Ollie.

I really love the hotpoints and use them all of the time. But they seem a bit too sensitive to invoke on my screen and I seem to trigger a change in views inadvertently quite often just by scrolling around my screen to accomplish some button push in the virtual cockpit, or even going down to the taskbar to pull up another program. Any tips on using hotpoints or a way to make them less easy to trigger? Thanks, Greg

Hi Keven, is it possible to delete camera files for planes I no longer even have installed? When I first installed CP I had a ton of planes, now I have 4.4 and it's very lean, not too many planes and I want to keep it that way. But occasionally I want to add just one camera but I have a huge list of planes there. I know it's stored both on the cloud and locally (locally I have no idea where though). So is this possible to clean up some of this excess of planes? Thanks.

I installed chaseplane. It works with my P3D v4, FSX Steam Edition but not with FSX. I open up the chaseplane window and the top left icons are red. Not green. How do fix this?
