Hi, I just wonder if anyone got this to work with the latest public betas? I haven't been able to get the plugin to load for some time, but it seems that others have managed to. Or has it been unabled systematically for some time? I know its beta and all that, but I just wonder if it might work nevertheless, i.e., if others have managed to. I have tried to reinstall, tried with and without additional plugins etc, to no avail. The plugin won't load regardless, and there is complete silence. Anyone?

The supercharger has high and low blower. The POH describes that one can shift to high blower when the critical blower altitude is reached. I however was not able to find out what the critical blower altitude actually is. Is there a chart indicating this or did I miss this in the POH? thanks Nik Schild

I'm trying to set up my DC-6 according to the power charts in the POH pp307. However I can't get to a point where the instruments match the data from the tables, although I'm not 100% sure I'm reading those right. For instance if I try to set up a 1500BHP climb the POH p307 suggests: LOW 2400, BMEP of 177 and MAP of 38 @6000(-20°C) with a fuel flow of 1040. But when I set the manifold pressure to 38 in flight I get about 136 BMEP and a fuel flow of 580 - with BMEP set to 177 I get a fuel flow of 780 and a MAP of 46. I never reach that 1040 fuel flow, unless I open the throttle to dry take off. Similarly a 1000 BHP cruise @6000 according to the table on p310 is achieve…

Hello, I feel that a Video or a thorough walkthrough with images is required for Cold and Dark startup and all NORMAL procedures required for a full flight. How to manage aircraft during the flight. There is a checklist but without accompanying images its clear as mud also, for example, in the DESCENT checklist there is no mention of setting Manifold Pressure to 26 as it is done with Assistant Engineer. Many thanks

Hello, How to I get the installer to install the DC-6 onto both X-plane 10 and X-plane 11 on the same PC? Neither the Repair or Modify options of the installer allow me to choose the version of X-Plane I want to use. Regards, Craig.

The four supercharger switches are interconnected, The procedure to switch from low to high blower in the climb is to reduce manifold of one engine. engage the resp. super charger. to high blower. adjust the MAP and repeat for the other engines. could you make them independent? Thanks.

I'm trying to understand how to deal with weight & balance distribution, but it doesn't seem that i have enough information. We know the payload but the in game UI shows no CG information. It doesn't seem that there are enough information to calculate it manually either (please correct me if i'm wrong). All i want to do is to calculate the MAC and see if it is within the range (if possible manually). This aircraft is motivating me to do things that i have never done before, like calculate own flights plan, fuel requirements, etc... It does not mean that i would never use any automatic tool, in game or not, but i want to now how it works and how to apply it. …

So since X-Plane 11 would be able to do surface reflections based on the real world (in sim) your plane is flying in. I can't wait for someone to tell me how to create a chrome surface in X-Plane 11, so I'll be able to create liveries for the DC-6! Jip

This has happened only last week after weeks of no problem flying. I attempted starting engines as I usually did having the FSE performing the "before start" routine then starting the engines with the 3-4-2-1 sequence but after a few turns the engine 1 and engine 4 propellers stopped. I checked the Engines health and all 4 have green discs. The other thing is that if I restart the PC and then launch XPlane, all 4 engines start well, but after about 30-40 seconds 1 and 4 stop going and there is no way to start them again. Also, in the XPlane "Equipment & Failures" panel, engines 1 and 4 are marked in red as inoperative and if I tried to change their state to …

As the title says, setting VOR frequency at the GNS530, the millesimal dial is too sensitive. Also setting the heading on the HSI:s is too sensitive and somewhat jumpy. And while I am at it, is it possible to change source using VOR 2 instead for VOR 1? I like that device much more and it is easier to setup, I dislike the GNS530.

Hi, guys! Question for you, what is the best prop RPM, best throttle setting or inches of manifold pressure, and what is the best altitude above MSL for the DC-6 for the lowest gasoline consumption as possible? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent Majerowicz

Hi there, I love the DC-6, I really do. However, no product is perfect (but this is very close, as always is the case with PMDG! ) and I have some suggestions for areas that can be improved. These are both my suggestions and others that I have heard from others since it's release and I have decided to put them into one place so that PMDG might take a look and we might see some of these features in the near future! As a kind disclaimer, I have not been able to fly the DC-6 in a while due to some problems with my computer so some of my "suggestions" may have been already been implemented. I also don't have the best knowledge off the aircraft at the moment so I do…

I have had this constant problem. The BMEP and MAP gauges all bouce around. If you zoom in and directly observe them, they stop boucing around and read one number, then when you zoom out they start boucing around and read another number. This effects the flight and fuel of the plane. It also causes sudden surges and engine damage. This is the most intrusive bug there is. I would like to know if others have this bug. It is not an engine problem. There are no measures that fix it.

I tried to complete Tutorial 1. I followed this:- "There is a saved situation included with this tutorial. It can be installed by placing the included DC6B_scenario_ 1.txt file in the DC-6B aircraft folder of your X-Plane directory: X-Plane 10\Aircraft\PMDG\DC-6\DC-6B." So I placed the txt file into the folder as indicated but when I load scenario 1 the aircraft jumps and crashes on the runaway crushing the gear and emitting smoke from the 4 engines, completely flat and broken on the tarmac. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the advice! Stupid question: I have purchased and downloaded the plane yesterday and I assume I have the latest release -- …
