Hello, whenever Im in a turn the aircraft seems to maintain the attitude once I let go of the controls, the situation is still present even at 60plus degress of bank angle Im having a hard time believing this is what the real plane does given the absurd amount of dihedral present Is this correct behaviour? Hi, I haven't noticed a checklist in the documentation, so I was wondering if anyone has a link to, or has any checklists. If not, maybe we could have a checklist mayde, or one of the amazing pilots to send a copy of their airline's checks for this aircraft... Just an idea.

First I would like to congratulate everyone at PMDG on an amazing product. I was also curious if there were any plans to add items such as a late 40's early 50's weather radar; or better yet an engine analyzer? These aren't big things and the lack thereof in no way detracts from the aircraft. I just felt that since t-storms in X-Plane have ruined my day before it would be nice to see them before i get in trouble. I have no practical reason to want or need the engine analyzer I just think its cool .

First thanks for this amazing Plane. But if i switch the Transponder to ON or ALT nothing changes in XIVAP and i'm not visible in IVAO with mode C. So I can't fly online and must bring it back to Hangar until this is fixed. Torsten Buettner

I just started a flight in Las Vegas where I live IRL. Temp outside is 39 degrees Celsius. I loaded the plane in a cold and dark state, and immediately I get a message saying "Warning! Carb temp causing engine damage!" After a minute or two (in cold & dark) the engines go black in the maintenance window. If I reset the damage, I can start them and the carb temperate goes down and the engines don't die, but... is this working properly? Thanks, Kris As you can see above, engine 1 & 2 were never started, and you can see the carb heat way up. I reset 3 & 4 engines and started them immediately, and the damage was minimized. You can see the ca…

Hello, I am not able to interact with the Gyro Pilot and Altitude Control switches of the Autopilot. I can turn the AP on and off and twist the little Aileron knob between the buttons, but nothing happens if I click them. Anyone having the same issue? UPDATE: Reseted the flight, and on the ground I am able to turn on the Gyropilot, but not the Altitude Control. Perhaps that issue is related to my bad understanding of this aircraft systems? Thanks Thiago Braun

Looks like there is a problem with the paints/textures at night: ok, no clue how to add screenshots: "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community" I'm sure you notice if you look at the plane from the outside when it's placed under a light source

I've done my first overland flight today, (Glasgow to Coventry) and hence the first time I ever looked at the fuel capacity of this aircraft. I noted that it can 'only' take 20000lbs of you'r finest Avgas! Now according to Wikipedia, DC6B could carry 5500USG, which is 33000lbs. This version will take the 6 roughly 2400-2600NM based on the 1000 torquemeter HP chart, whilst Wiki 'advertises' with 4000NM range. Is Wikipedia wrong? this a feature? are there plans to make a long range version? Thanks!

Hi there, I hopped into the plane tonight and dove right into tutorial 1. It mentions a text file that is included with the tutorial to allow you to load a scenario. I'm not finding this text file anywhere? Any ideas? "There is a saved situation included with this tutorial. It can be installed by placing the included DC6B_scenario_ 1.txt file in the DC-6B aircraft folder of your X-Plane directory: X-Plane 10\Aircraft\PMDG\DC-6\DC-6B." Thanks Jason Rivard

Having no experience with XPX, but intensely curious to try my hand at flying the 6, could anyone recommend a good starter set of add-ons that would complement this bird nicely? What kind of weather, texture, and airport scenery packages would be good to jumpstart a fresh XPX install to really enjoy the sim?

I just purchased and installed the DC-6. When I open up X-plane and try to activate the aircraft, the window says "activation unsuccessful." I have tried copy and pasting the key directly and manually inputting the key and nothing seems to work. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! - Ryan

Anyone getting camera shake with this bird? I always have that effect on my other airplanes, but on the DC-6, until now, I have not experienced it. Tried to enable and disable the effect multiple times. Thanks Thiago Braun

Hello Just purchased, installed successfully and got ready for a little test flight. I'm probably going to embarrass myself by asking this, but I don't have any flight controls other than nose wheel. No elevator, ailerons or rudder. Is it one of those did you read the manual things? I'm using just a joystick with all flight controls assigned and working perfectly with all aircraft. I don't use fsuipc. Thanks

I run windows 8.1 and I have no inclination to get windows 10. Will it work on 8.1? I'd rather not spent $70 to find out. Regards Matt
