PMDG 777

Hi guys, In FSX I can mouse click on any of the flight displays including the Captain's PFD and I get the pop-up window so there is no issue there. With P3Dv4x I can get all the pop up windows except the Captain's PFD known as "Left Outboard DU". I have tried selecting "Zoomed Left Outboard DU" from the drop down menu under "Vehicles" and there is a brief glimps of a black window about the right size but no zoomed window is showing. BTW I am getting the same in both the 777 and 747 under P3Dv4. I was hoping to be able to undock the Left Outboard DU window to put it on another screen. Any ideas? Kind regards Brian Carter

Hi guys, Another quick question. I recently found out that the max cruise ALT for my PMDG 773 can only go up to FL312 with max cruise speed of 325-330KTS and it doesnt allow me to go any higher. As far as I know (Google) the normal cruise ALT for B773 is FL350 and normal cruise speed of 490KTS. Is there any possible way I can change this or is there something that I am missing? Hi guys, A quick questions. I'm new to the PMDG 777 series and I am facing some issues if anyone would be so kind to help. I planned my flight with Online Flight Planner, RTE: OMDB - LTBA. Programmed the FMC and the LEGS show me an increase of ALT up FL280 then, after about 5 waypoints(est. can't remember exactly how many waypts in between) or so, it goes up to FL300(CRZ ALT). So, after TO, I climb to FL280 an the aircraft stabilizes at FL280. BUT as the LEGS on FMC progress to FL300, the aircraft(AP) does not go up to FL300. It maintains at FL280 through the cruise. Is there something I'm missing or a step I've missed or should have done? Any h…

Hello I was wondering if anybody is using PMDG 777 with Project magenta and get it to work? Now after takeoff the PMDG starts to take over the control from Projectmagenta and get confused. how can I set things correctly so that I can use Projectmagenta with PMDG 777? cheers john van Berkel

Hi For some unknown reason I've suddenly lost the take off speed check call out at 80 knots for my 777. I've searched the CDU simulation options but can only find reference to v1, vr and v2 call outs, all of which are live. I'm sure I haven't altered any settings which might be causing this, and I would certainly appreciate any help in getting this call out reinstated. Many thanks Ron (Kerrydancer)

What is the logic for when the wind direction/speed values are shown on the B777 ND? In my case, they are not displayed at take-off until about 4400ft altitude. In some videos, they are shown just after V1. In the case of the PMDG Tutorial video, they were not shown at all. Videos of real life take-offs don't usually focus on the ND but the few that I could see showed the values displaying at around V1 or VR. There are similar differences during descent and landing, including real life videos.

Have noticed an intermittent bug since upgrading to 4.4 - on both the 200LR and 300ER - on touchdown with the A/T engaged it doesn't automatically disconnect as it should. Happened twice after long haul flights. Manual landing but with A/T on. Not sure if anyone else has seen the same behavior.

Just a question more out of curiosity than any problem. I've been flying quite a bit using the Etihad Cargo version from the Ops Center. I've noticed that usually the automatic systems disable exterior lights while on APU power (logo, wing, etc), and understand the reasoning behind this. However, fairly frequently I'm able to turn on the logo and wing lights during pushback while still only on APU. The only correlating detail I can find is that it seems like the lights work on APU power when I'm at a hot location (GOOY for example). Leaving much colder locales (HKJK at 00:45 in Dec for example) seems to never provide exterior lights until engine start. Am I c…

I encountered an issue today where the 3rd step climb of the flight somehow caused all the VNAV speed and altitude calculations on the LEGS page to go blank. During preflight I programmed the SimBrief steps into the LEGS and the FL330 and FL350 steps worked flawlessly. As for the FL370 step, it was programmed to TULAG but upon reaching TULAG the FMC was still recommending FL350. Finally, around YQD it was still recommending FL350 but with an OPT of FL367 and a MAX of FL375 so I judged it was pretty close to turning over (as it eventually did). I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not so I shall post any way! Every time I start up the aircraft I now get 'NAV DATA OUT OF DATE' on the FMC. But the current AIRAC is 1313, isnt it? Yesterday I started a flight from Dubai Intl. (OMDB) to Narita Intl. (RJAA) on the Emirates PMDG 777, the flight went perfectly until the plane just went off-route and just continued to go straight forever. I restarted the flight and then it worked and the plane made it to Japan. Today I started a flight from Ben Gurion (LLBG) to Heathrow (EGLL) on the EL-AL PMDG 777 and this time the issue happened again, so I restarted the flight and did all the stuff again but the issue happened again and also after another restart.............. Hi all, im hoping someone can help me. I’ve got P3d v 4 and downloaded the 777-200 base package from aero soft. When I load I get the ‘Initialization of licence library failed’ error. But the plane loads anyway. But when it does the entire VC is unclickable and blank. Here are the steps I’ve tried: I installed the sim connect.msi i uninstalled and reinstalled all PMDG files i run p3d as admin any advice? thanks everyone! Alex

I remember reading back when I first got the T7 for FSX that you should not do multiple flights without restarting the sim. Tonight, I was watching GSX do it's thing and after the flight and I decided to refuel, catering and boarding so I said, what the hell, lets go for another flight. I set a flight back to KORD from KDFW. The flight went fine and landed at KORD with no issues. Is P3D v4.4 the exception for this? George Nacino

So I started a flight from Dubai Intl. to Narita Intl. (OMDB-RJAA) and because the flight is very very long I set the simulation rate to be a bit faster and the airplane makes a turn so late that it goes out of sync with the route (doesn't happen when simulation rate = 1x). Is there any way to fix this problem? And is there a way to just skip time forward instead of setting the simulation rate to a bit faster and still wait a long time? Thanks.

Finally got round to buying the 777 plus the -300 expansion. Am running it on P3D v 3.4 I cannot seem to download the liveries via the Ops Centre. It displays the available liveries but clicking on the download button does nothing - well almost nothing. It displays 'downloading' for a fraction of a second then stops. Also I have noted that any updates in the notification sections don't seem to install. I click on OK to install updates and they appear to install, then the next time I open the Ops centre i get new prompts to install the same updates

Second time this happened to me tonight. First, on approach with the NGX to SCCI 25 ILS. Never came alive Now, flyinig the 777, on approach to 25R at LFPG...never comes alive. I have P3Dv4.3 with PMDG 777-200LR + NGX8900 After loading it (and waiting 18sec as told) got skeleton in outside view that ends after a short wait. Can it be corrected? Tks

Hi today I was in route to kphl and my kid by mistake opend the ram air turbine and press the switch. I land the apple at kphl and park. I open the maintenance page on the fms but there is no function to retract the ram air turbine. Can some one please tell me were in the maintenance section is that function. All I see is refill hyd fluid, refill engine oil, service apu scd motor, refill fire bottles, and on the second pg cool brakes, replaced brakes, and replaced tires. But there is no ram air turbine retraction. So I'm really need some help on how to do it . Tank

Have my PMDG 777-200LR mapped by Navigraph's FMS Data Manager -> path ...\P3Dv4.3\PMDG. In my 1st flight (YMML-CYVR) received a note that rwy 13 at CYVR (FSDreamteam scenery) didn't exist which didn't keep me making the flight. While preparing to get CYVR ARR there was no STARs or RWYS.
