PMDG 777

I've read that on the PMDG 777, you can set the startup state to load cold and dark each time. When I get to this section of the FMC, there is no list to click on when it comes to startup state, but rather a few dashed lines. How can I use this to set the startup state to cold and dark each time I load the simulator? Thanks, Rajan Farmah

Hi All, it happened recently a couple of times that while flying enroute the plane stopped tracking the route and began turning around in circles with varying radius around the point where the anomaly happened. Nothing special to report, in both cases it was an overseas flight EU to US and when the issue happened (5-6 flight hours already done) I was not sitting at the PC, just discovered it when I sat back again to look at the flight status- AP LNAV VNAV AT on, normal conditions so to say, no messages or other evidence. Hello all: I am a new 777 pilot and really enjoying the aircraft. I have a question on saving panel states. I have developed a process by which I can avoid VAS shutdowns. The procedure is that as soon as I hear the FSUIPC chime I exit the sim and reload. Success with this procedure requires the aircraft flying to "wake up" with everything loaded when shut down. Based on my understanding, it seems that the 777 should reload with the same panel state as when shut down, i.e, flight plan in the FMS and complete panel state. Is that a correct understanding, or am I missing something here. By the way, I have the panel state selected Previous Flight, so that …

It's been a while since this question was asked (as far as I'm aware, please don't grill me if it hasn't), but I was wondering if there would be any chance of an -ER coming to the 777, since the -LRs are being phased out in many airlines (Example being BA, who have three, G-ZZZA, G-ZZZB and G-ZZZC, which are to be replaced by -300ERs) and the -ERs are still going strong, so this would be a valued update to the 777 line of products.

How do you manually tune in the NAV1 radio to an ILS? When I try, it won't let me. But if I use the VOR station at the airport, I can get that fine. I don't have the current AIRAC cycle, so I understand that some runways aren't in the database. But I would think I should still be able to manually dial in the ILS freq's and headings. Thanks.

Hello, Here's the issue I've encountered, both in the 777 and the 737, so I'm sure this must be pilot error ! - Land at an airport, taxi to the gate, park, shut down, and then select 'Load Panel State" in the FMC - selecting PMDG short - (without shutting down the sim - I want to 'turn' the aircraft for the next leg) - Load my fuel, payload, and flight plan - Taxi out, checklists complete, ready to depart - Selecting TO/GA with the clickspot as always, aircraft accelerates to maybe 80 - 100kts then gets really sluggish, inadequate power for normal takeoff. Had the 777 for FSX and now considering buying for P3d... IIRC the newer PMDG 747 has rain effects but not the 777? Is this true and are rain effects planned for the 777...?

good day for all I realized maybe too late that the nose wheel steering function is shared with the movement of the rudder this happened because I never leave the cabin but flying the QW especially the movement on land change the camera to external view and as I said it was in the maneuver of the taxi and I saw that the nose wheel steering moves alone and the RUDDER is still PMDG maybe it will modify the physics on the ground of its aircraft .... and please resuscitate the B777 please I ask you thank you so much

Notice on YouTube tutorials you can slew the view of the cockpit forwards and backwards. At the moment, my cockpit view looks as if you’re sitting adjacent the control yoke. Any ideas how to move backwards? Noted...outside view just requires toggle at top of joystick to be pushed forward and backward, but it doesn’t work in the cockpit. thankyou

Hello community, Recently I switched from FSX to P3D.(FSX completely removed from PC). Since I Always liked flying the PMDG B777-300ER on FSX, I installed the PMDG B777 package for P3D. All is working perfectly untill aproach. Here are the issues involved: Calculated approach & landing speeds in the FMC are (insanely) high. It calculates landing speeds up to 260kts When I mannualy alter the speeds in the FMC (for instance landing speed around 150kts depending on weight) even with speedbrakes fully extended and gear down the aircraft is slowing down extremely slow not making 150kts for landing. Flaps speeds for landing are always calculated at 3…

Recently I have been having a problem with 777 maintaining altitude. take off and climb is no problem. i set cruise altitude at 380. i reach the altitude setting and the 777 levels off at that altitude. about an hour later i will check on the flight and the altitude is now 400. when i descend to the original altitude the plane levels off. then it starts to porpiseing and become unflyable. I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Hello, I was on approach to EPKK ILS 25 when I was established on the localiser I pressed the approach mode button. But when I did that the thrust randomly increased and the plane didn't descend. I pressed it when the glideslope diamond was centred in the middle. When do I press the APP button. What position does the pink diamond on the PFD need to be at when I press the APP button. Thanks

I've been using the 777 and GSX services for about a year now and everything had been working. Recently i noticed that the cargo containers being loaded and taken off the aircraft during boarding and de-boarding are completely random. It's as if the containers are from 6 different airlines. The first container will be japan airlines, followed by scoot, and then British Airways. This variation and order is completely random each time, with each time having a bunch of random airlines, instead of the actual airline I'm flying. When I go to load fuel in the fuel in the FMC, I was attempting to load 50500lbs of fuel on board. I would input the number in the FMC and when I went to press the button beside total fuel it would end up with the aircraft displaying it had 30200lbs on the in cockpit screen, but the total on the FMC was 320000lbs, very lost on why I am having the different read outs?

Hi, I recently had some freezing during long flights using the PMDG 777F. from what i have read it could be FSXWX. the advice was to use FSXWX for initial take off and climb to cruising altitude, then when descending start it up again. so i tried it and when i reached FL360 i disconnected FSXWX and suddenly my TOT jumped from -21 to +55 degrees C. it also effected my altitude, it suddenly went from F360 to FL220, also the speed dropped to just above stalling speed. i tried to recover the climb back to FL360, but it could not climb as with the low speed i kept stalling. i tried to climb in small steps such as 1000ft at a time but with no luck. when i reconnected FSXWX…

Every time I load the PMDG 777 the scratch pad reads NAV DATA OUT OF DATE on the IDENT page. The IDENT page displays the correct AIRAC cycle and date but I always get the NAV DATA OUT OF DATE message. I subscribe to Navigraph and the P3D/PMDG/NAV DATA folder indicates all files are for the current cycle. Any ideas on how to get rid of this nuisance message? thanks, Don

I'm pretty new to PMDG. The only plane I've flown so far is the 777-200LRX. I've familiarized myself with most systems in the 777, but recently I've had trouble loading RNAV Departures/Arrivals into the FMC. When I select DEP in the DEP/ARR menu, there just aren't any RNAV's available. Is there any way to see the RNAV or do they just not have them?

On all CDU's I get a plus sign marker to increase the size of the display by a mouse click. However this expanded view does not work for the Captains CDU. Here the plus sign is not visible when hoovering around. Would like to have this expanded capability in take off and landing as it eases the view of all parameters. What do I wrong in terms of settings perhaps? Thank you, Peter de Bruin

Hello, so the ILS in the PMDG 777 does not work most of the time. I select the ILS runway and approach in the FMC and the freq is on the NAV/RAD page, but neither LOC or APP can not be activated. This behavior seems almost as arbitrary as the ILS freq actually being on the runway in the P3D sim. I noticed that the ILS freq for the rwy in question was different on the map from the one in the plane. Can this be because I have not updated my Airac cycle in P3D, but for my addons?
