Hello everyone, This is my first post in AVSIM community. I have been simming with the PMDG 777 for more than a year already and it's a beautiful aircraft. The only problem I have over the years is that usually above 10am noon in FSX, the cockpit will usually be a bit dark due to shadows which is normal, while my pedestal stays really bright. I think it's a texture issue? Regards Marco Haynes

Hello folks, As you aware, PMDG recommends a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor for its 777. Since I am using an old LCD 32" TV with 16:9 aspect ratio and forced to buy new TV due to some technical issues, can someone advise the availability of 32" HDTV with an aspect ratio of 16:10 or this pic size applicable only to PC monitors? More info and helps regarding this will be highly appreciated.

This is the second time this has happened to me with the same aircraft and same route (KORD-OTHH). Somewhere over Ireland the plane just flies way off course. The first time it ended up crashing, the second time (which is why I'm posting), it stayed airborne. I use P3D v5.3HF2 (or whatever the latest release is), ActiveSky P3D, and REX Sky Force for clouds (not weather injection). It's worth mentioning that at my scheduled step climb to FL350, the aircraft just continued climbing. I'm not sure if this is a weather injection issue or a plane issue. If someone knows how to stop this from happening, please let me know asap. This was the first incident. This is the …

Hi everyone, I run P3D5 and the PMDG 777 on two displays. One has the VC, the other has the EFB, one of the CDUs and the ATC window. This is saved as a scenario with a particular livery (ACA). Now, if I wanted to use a different livery, I'd have to start all over again, painstakely undocking windows from the main screen, moving them to the second screen, ajusting their position and size, and locing them again. My question is, is there a way to give my screen(s) configuration a name which I can invoke with new liveries to obtain the desired result without having to save everyting again? (I'm not sure if this topic belongs here or in the P3D forum). …

Hi all, I recently compared the two aircraft, and found the QW787 Enroute Map most useful inknowing where I am onlong flights. Questions: (1) Is there really such a display on the real 787? I installed the 777 in quite a while back and it has seemed to work flawlessly but just today when everything was setup in the fmc and the flightplan setup, the pane took off but had this 2 to one second hiccup before i lose all control of it and its stuck in the position i left off. the control surfaces move but the plane doesnt seem to budge. after that i tried using it without a flightplan and it seems to work just fine so its definetly something wrong in the configuration of the aircraft modified by something like fsuipc. but even after delete of fsuipc and other 777 effects it still doesnt work even after a reinstall. someone help pinpoint where this issue is coming …

i was doing a apprroach into YSSY.. and it told em to land at 30L and i clicked ILS Z.. but when i clicked the approach switch it ddidnt have glideslope... so i am wondering if it has to do with ILS z & Y.. cause i was at the right altidude etc... can someone explain to me what is the differenc ebetween ILS Z OR Y ? thanks

Greetings all, I have a question regarding the cost index used for the 777, vs what is planned using PFPX. I'm currently in the middle of a PHNL-KATL flight. When I planned the route in PFPX, I couldn't figure out how to add any specific CI. There's a page (speed/altitude) that allows me to adjust the cruise/cost index for each waypoint, but the options (via a drag-down menu) are "initial, AE320, LRC, M.82, M.83, M.84, M.85, M.86". For this flight, I left that parameter blank. On the actual FMC, I randomly chose a CI of 50. I'm currently cruising at M.83. My current TAS is 481, and PFPX seemed to plan for 485. This might be a chicken vs egg question, but do I have…

Hi all. First of all, CONGRATULATIONS PMDG, yet another flawless creation with B777-300ER. Awesome to the slightest detail. I have an issue that's ocurring since the new patch (datalink update). I have a constant message on the Memo Messages area in the Upper EICAS. *FMC According to the FCOM on Chapter 5 Section 50: Message *ATC Level Medium Message Logic An ATC data link message has been received or an armed report has been sent. Crew Action Respond to message displayed on EICAS or select the MFD Communications display. The point is, this message continuously shows up. I have been using LLBG Mega Airport from Aerosoft without any problem - until today. Approaching LLBG in the PMDG B772 it would not show any runways available. Eventually closed the flight. Checking afterwards, my Scenery Library shows Ben Gurion (Tel Aviv City) as available, but greyed out. Other greyed out airports (eg EGLL) work fine. When I try to load a DEP or ARR via the FMC it comes up with "LLBG ERROR: 03 RWY N/A". It also shows the "NAV DATA Out of Date" message (when it isn't - but I guess, if it's unavailable, that will be the resulting message). I turn to PMDG and its users in desperation, I cannot get FSDT GSX to function in the 777-200 or Freighter, works fine in the 737 NGX and other addon airliners. I know this is not of a PMDG issue, but anyone who has used the FSDT support Forums rarely escapes the needless, sarcastic, vague responses of one particular nameless moderator of foreign heritage. Hello everyone, i have recently bought the 777-200LR/F base package and the -300ER Expansion Pack, but i have some questions for those. 1) Since i am a student and i already bought the 2 versions of 777, i have to wait until i get my scholarship in the middle of next month to get the -200ER Expansion, so i want to ask, does the liveries made for -200ER work on -200LR? I'm about to purchase the PMDG and want to practice some V1 cuts at max structural TO weight (775,000), so I'm wondering what the minimum takeoff rwy for a a 777-300ER under the following?? 1) Standard conditions (Sea Level, 1013mb/29.92hg, 15C/59F) 2) Paved, level and dry rwy 3) Calm wind 4) Flaps 15 5) TO thrust with engine bleeds open and both packs off. Heya guys, I've recently been getting into long haul flying so i bought the PMDG 777-200LR Base pack. Been loving it flying some EGLL-OMDB and return flights. Today I thought id venture out a little more and try Dubai - Orlando Intl. Loaded 131700kg of fuel on board and had a ZFW of 190.6. Upon departure the aircraft predicted 20.1T of fuel upon arrival in KMCO and that was a very very comfortable margin for me. So i left the aircraft to do its thing and returned just as I was flying over Canada. Looked at the FMS and now the prediction was 0.2T of fuel remaining at KMCO. Then around 40 minutes later it went down to 0.0 and I ended up having to add fuel mid flight to…

Is there a way to set a default fuel reserve in the FMC INI page. in my case, I load the proper fuel quantity in the tanks which includes extra contingency fuel. So I don't need an FMC fuel reserve in the INI page. That would prevent getting "Insufficient Fuel warning", and making the entry unnecessary in the INI page. I couldn't see a way to do it in the set up area. thank you J Lonchambpn

Hi, In the P3D4 simulator the aft flaps and gears of PMDG777 do not change when I look at the replay mode. The moving details change on all the other aircrafts in the replay but with PMDG 777 nothing changes. Why? Do I need to configure something in the aircraft setup? Hi, I'm now using Prepar3D V4.5 and also using PMDG B777-200LR/F, B777-300ER, B777-200ER. 2 days ago, I flew from Amsterdam to Indonesia with B777-300ER. But in all of sudden, I got a two message on my EICAS and I lost both of my engine control. 'ENG FAIL R' and 'ENG FAIL L'. Because there were plenty of fuel, engine didn't turn off but I lost my thrust almost to idle. Even though I control my throttle in manual, thrust doesn't work at all. I could see the throttle in 777 changes as I control my throttle but no actions in EICAS. And yesterday, I did same flight in same route and same plane, then it crashed at just same place(above New Delhi, India) 'again'. Is this …
