PMDG 777

    Hi, This item will be cross-posted in both Radar Contact and FSX forums. On my last two flights using the Triple 7 I've had an issue with Radar Contact, and had to switch over to FSX ATC. When the ATC window opened and it asked me to contact a center, I pressed 1 and it would not respond. The same thing happened on a current flight from LAX to RJAA. Has anyone else have this problem? When I start a flight with a default aircraft I have no issue. Any thoughts?

The Master Warning And The Aural Siren Goes Away If I Retract The Spoilers. As Per My Knowledge Spoiler Are Supposed To Armed Prior TakeOff Roll Right ?     Hello, I was studying the Flight Control part of the FCOM and I asked myself a question. The Alternate Pitch Trim Levers are linked to both STCM via control cables. Therefore, I would assume that the actions on the levers bypass the PFCs and ACEs to be directly transmitted to the STCM. In Normal Mode, moving the Pitch Trim Switches on the control wheel sends a signal to the PFCs, which will change the Trim Reference Speed and send the adequate data to the ACEs. The ACEs will then command an elevator deflection, followed by a stabilizer movement to “streamline” the elevator, for it to return to neutral position. This elevator deflection is calculated…

    Hi, I have a problem with NOT seeing any illumination on taxiways or runways. The link to the screenshot shows a B777-200 on taxiway with Landing Lights (L - C - R) ON, Runway Turnoff Lights (L - R) ON, Taxi Light ON. There is NO illumination on the taxiway.     Hi Suddenly some runways and approaches are missing in the FMC. Right now I have the problem with BIKF and UUEE. When I enter the code for the airport or load a flightplan I get an error message that the runway isn't available. And when I then try to do the an ILS approach to the runway the radio wont tune on that frequency. Any suggestions? Kind regards Thomas Broegger

  9. Hi. Regularly I fly pacific routes in the 777, this is certainly not the first time on this route either. I did a reinstall of the 777 last week by uninstalling just the prompts from my PC, then installing it again later. (Not sure if this is the correct way to do it). I then updated my Navdata to 1809 and all that stuff... Keep in mind all parts in the flight plane are entered manually by myself. KLAX > 24L > SUMMR1 > FICKY as the departure, then I enter an airway. I understand that lat/long way points must utilize the legs page and not RTE. The Failures in the FMC “Set Up” are setting by default (not active) But every time when I am on the runway and start rolling, the failures come alive with failures Wheels and Brakes (Page 5). Sometimes more than 10 failures. I calibrate the pedals, disconnected them. I taxied very slowly to the runway. What can I do, and why come the failures alive when I have the failures not active?     I am trying to fly the 1.5 tutorial in FSX SE. I have followed pages 32 and 37, requesting and accepting the Perf Init data, inserting flaps and confirming CG. However, the V speeds are blank and do not appear when clicking the LSKs. Also, it will not allow me to manually insert the V speeds. "Invalid Entry" is the message. Is there any possible thing I have overlooked? Rob

  12. I was wondering if anyone has had and issue with the 777 manual landings in crosswinds in excess of 30kts. In all tests I have done and confirming this with at least 2 other friends of mine who also have the 777, we have all found it impossible to land the 777 manually with winds of 35, 40, and 45 knots full crosswind, even though in autoland the aircraft manages to land. The behavior of the 777 has been the same for all of us.     I've run into this issue occasionally and can't figure out what I've missed in the approach setup. I'm approaching OMDB (can't remember the STAR I selected) and the next waypoint PEDOV is listed /3000A. Immediately following that by 3NM is DB657 with a hard entry of /3000. From 40 miles out after T/D my 77W simply refuses to descend past 15k. Altitude is confirmed dialed to 3000, but no matter what I do I can't get the aircraft to respond to the upcoming waypoints' altitude requirements... at 5mi from PEDOV I finally intervened, but obviously I"ve missed a step. Any thoughts on where I might check? Thx!

    Hi all, I've made an Excel workbook that calculates the ZFW, ZFWCG, TOW, TOWCG, LDW, and LDW CG (all %MAC) and corresponds to the FMC-reported values of the PMDG 777-300ER.   17. Just checking this is normal. In legs page when adding legs or using direct to by selecting a later leg and 'pasting' over the active leg normally the ND will show you your planned changes until you press EXEC and then will activate your changes or if you press ERASE it will return to original route (without changing current roll mode). All this is working as expected except if I change the default INTC CRS TO at R6 to any other radial/course (that is NOT on current intercept heading) then the moment I place it in R6 VNAV cancels (message NOT ON INTERCEPT HEADING msg appears) and immediately I am in TRK or HDG HOLD mode depending on what is set on MCP.   19. Been having lots of fun flying by raw data in the 737 now it's the turn of the 777. Easy as pie when you have FIX info available as a redundancy check for bearing and distance. Last night did an 1100 mile flight from LDDU to ESSA using nothing but ADF, so it was not the most efficient of flights but gave me nearly 3 hours of solid radio tuning/practice.     I am having trouble with PMDG 777-300 pushback. Using ORBX scenery for YBBN and selecting gate 78, if I do say, 6 pushbacks using identical settings for the PUSHBACK page, the aircraft ends up at 6 different stopping positions. Am I asking too much for this to be repeatable and accurate?

    Hi Y'all, I'm a long time customer of the PMDG line-up and recently purchased the 777-300. Upon night flight, I noticed that I have three white lines flaring from the navigation lights. I noticed this occurs with any livery at any setting. When the lights are off, there's no problem, but as soon as the lights are turned on, three white lines appear. In attempt of self solving, I've "properly" uninstalled, reinstalled, and repaired the 777-200lrf and 777-300 respectively, but still have the problem,.     Hi, is it already upseen to port the features of the QOTS II to the 777 sometimes? Espacially the Rainmaker would be fantastic but also the EFB (which is nearly the same than on the 748. Its just a question with the background that I know that you would have posted something if there is something to show but it would be nice if its even planned or needs a new version of the 777.     Having bought and installed 777-200LR & -300ER a few days ago, I found that FCOM 1 & 2, FCTM and QRH are missing from the installation files. Neither PMDG Operation Center, off course, can show these PDF files. The other two are present (Tutorial & Introduction). Any idea where can I find the missing files ?

    Hello, I recently got the 777 by pmdg and for some reason every time during the climb portion of the flight all the displays turn black. I tried restarting the apu, turning on and off the battery but nothing seemed to work there weren’t even any warnings and the engines didn’t even turn off and the only thing that functioned was the little flight display next to the primary one and the fmc i really adore this plane I would be very grateful if anyone could help, thx and hav a nice day!
