PMDG 777

Hi I had a perfectly working P3D with the 737 PMDG installed. Today I decided to purchase the PMDG 777 together with the 300 extension. After installing them both, I can no longer launch P3D. I see the P3D logo screen for a while and then I get the error: Prepar3D exe has stopped working. I wasted 3 hours getting it to work now, looked at forum posts, I gave up.... I'm exhausted... I then removed PMDG 777 and still couldn't launch P3D, which caused a slight panic. I went back to a backup from yesterday and replaced the P3D folder. After this, everything worked again as normal. I then installed 777 PMDG again, and AGAIN I get the error!…

Hi all! I've a strange issue with my 777... Yesterday my flight from HESH to OMDB ended not as wanted, i had to do a lot more then i expected Set the Autopilot for a ILS Autoland on Runway 30R - all went correct - at 1500 feet ND Shows Land 3... but.... a few seconds before tochdown it changed to no autoland. Why it worked and then not :( Maybe it is an fmc Input error but it is strange to me because first it run correct and then it changed... Anyone here with the same issue and/or a solution therefore? I've changed my computer to a 21.5 inch Apple iMac and operate FSX in Bootcamp under Windows 10. It’s a powerful beast : iMac : Retina 4K Processor : 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory : 8 GB MHz DDR3 Graphics : Intel Iris Pro Graphocs 6200 1536 MB THE PROBLEM The 777 Flight Deck appears as if it needs stretching out from each side and the middle of the panel looks slightly "fat". I’ve tried many of the resolutions including 1792 X 1344, 1920 X 1440, 2048 X 1152……..but none fixed the problem. Advice would be most welcome. Cliff

When using new view for outside view no landing lights are present, is there any way PMDG could post a new MDL external file with some type of landing light included. percy lee

With AP on ( I normally start APU when exiting runway.) and at the gate, with APU Gen "on" when I shut down engine 1 & 2, the ARIDU, CDU and ND, PFD on FO's side shut off, and then it re boots. This happens also if I connect external power. This shut down issue began after installing SP1 and still happens with SP1B. Before I send a ticket, is this normal behavior ? I am using "Long" panel state, and they are fresh panel states installed with SP1B. Any help appreciated.

Hello dear pilots! I've got one sinple question (hopefully). Since the installation of service pack 1c the screens of the F/O turn black when I shut down the engines after landing. Of course the APU is running. Is this the normal behaviour or am I doing something wrong? I already searched within the manual but I could not find this point. Greetings from Germany!

Hi Everyone, The topic thread asks my question. This of course applies to mid-flight. I tried entering a cruise altitude by paging back to cruise in VNAV on the CDU, but this doesn't change the FMC being in Descend mode. Thanks in advance. Mike

Good morning. I just purchased Prepar3d V3 last week and the PMDG 777-200 for Prepar3d. I have the problem described so beautifully in the PMDG Support page where no switches are clickable and the panel won't fully load. The 777 is the only add-on I have. I did follow the steps outlined in the PMDG Knowledge Base, but whenever I load Prepar3d, the scenario page has the F-22 in the window. Anyway, I'm all screwed up and would appreciate any help you can offer. My hunch is I'm not correctly making the 777 the "only" aircraft loaded. Many thanksJim J D Hillman

Hello, I am creating the flightplan with EFB and saving it into / lockheed martin / prepar3d v3 / PMDG/flightplans / 777. I checked. The flightplans are there. But the FMC does not find them. Neither with "Route request" nor Co Route. What is wrong? Was the format changed with P3D 3.4? rgds Harry Forstner

Hi There! Hopefully, there isnt the Answer of my Problem in this big Forum I purchsed, loaded and installed the PMDG772. Everything's fine with Registration ans so on.. All Knobs, Switches, Buttons and Lights are ok. But my Main-Panel seems that theres no loading of it.. Download seems to work perfectly as does the unzip. Install Wizard starts and then I get the message: "Unable to locate Prepar3D.exe. Unable to Install." Prepar3D Folder is on the C drive and Prepar3D.exe is in it. Prepar3D works perfectly with all other planes. I installed and have run PMDG 737NGX without a hitch. Previous search brought up complaints, but not solutions. Simple issue, hope there is a fix. ETOPS route, put in EINN & CYYT as fixes and FPS remains fixed at 30. Put in 430nm for the 60 minute ring, FPS drops to low 20's. Put in 1263nm for the 180 minute ring, FPS drops to 10-12. So why does the FPS get such a hit when doing standard ETOPS procedure? I have search and best I can figure out is that in the FSX 2D using new view cockpit for outside view and pop ups display landing lights will not illuminate the ground.....Will there be a fix for this or is there already one? thanks percy lee

Hello fellow 777 captains: I thought I should post the issue here before I open a support ticket with PMDG. When I am manipulating the individual flood lights in both FSX AND P3D (yes I do have both and the 777 versions for both), my fps halves. i.e. when I have the lights set, I get 20-22 fps stable, when I turn the knob to dim or brighten, my fps drops to 10-12, after the new lighting level is set, fps returns to normal. Is this normal? Also, when I turn the dome lights on or off, I get the spinning cursor icon, but I thought the dome light freeze is normal because of the big lighting area. If this is not normal, then I will open a support ticket with PMDG. Than…

Hello, just one question I am unable to find the topic related to FSUIPC Setting for PMDG 777 for nose wheel steering (Tiller) and Rudder Pedals. I was able to assign the Tiller Through FSUIPC but the rudder is not functioning although it is also assigned. but not functioning I mean while on the ground the Airplane nose Wheel Steers while using the Rudder Pedals, which should not be the case and once in the Air the Rudder Stops from Functioning. is there any hint that could help in order to make to Rudder Work as they should in the Real Aircraft. Hi all, Basically am flying SYD-SIN in the PMDG 777. Have the 777 set to automatically generate and load a flightplan into P3D. Request wind data - all good and it downloads into the FMC. However, for all the waypoints, it only gives FL380 winds, even though I am only at FL360. Usually it uploads quite a few different altitudes into each waypoint. I have tried shutting down/reloading AS2016 - but still the same. Has anyone else experienced this/knows a remedy? Cheers, Never mind - seems to have fixed itself. A friend of mine and I are doing a fllight. Hes in the -300 I'm in the 200. We are both at FL400. His current GW is 478,000. So no where near max gross weight. He has no maneuver buffer of coffin corner. Like 3 or 5 knots. SAT -51. Same as mine. I have about 75 knot maneuver margin. His MAX FL on CRZ page said 39,400 mine is 42800 feet. He decided to drop only 2000 feet to FL380 and the maneuver margin split to about 50 kts. I dunno but from my RW experience this doesn't make sense. Any ideas?

Dear all I have now been flying a few flights, and I can see now that somehow the PMDG is working at slower speed than the rest of the sim. the clock works, but the timer itself I have timed it myself, reads 1.35 for every 1 second real time. Also the flap deployment time and engine startup takes a lot longer than I ever saw either in P3D v2 or FSX...! I have no clue what is causing this what so ever! Here is an example. I just arrived at CPH from DXB a flight that takes around 6.5 hours. My gate departure was around 5 am GMT, as you can see the timed flight time was 4:22 when in fact it should say something around 6 hours.
