PMDG 777

So, I've recently got PMDG 777-200 and it's fantastic! But I have a problem with one thing. I don't get the descend path, until I fill out flightplan completely (STARs Transitions etc.) It's very troubling because my T/D is often before the last waypoint in the flightplan and I can't tune ATIS (because I'm still too far out) to check available runways. Is there any way to counteract this? Any help would be much appreciated! :smile:

A year ago, I think i made a bad flightsim decision.. I was trying to save on money and bought CS 777 instead of PMDG 777.. the night lighting is bad, flight dynamics, engine/APU start sequence inaccurate, etc.. I was euphoric at the money I saved but I'm finding out all the little flaws of the CS 777 over time that are now shadowing whatever monetary benefit I gained.. I'm seriously considering retiring my CS 777 in the Mojave desert and thinking about buying PMDG 777. Wanted to hear from the community if this is a good decision. Hello, i saw an light colour option in the fmc options. It´s possible to change the colours of the cockpit etc. (night lights, dim ....) and i´m asking myself how is it in the real world? Are there different cockpit light colours in some airlines? Can you post a video where i can see this?

Hello PMDG, I have two suggestions for improvements on your 777. 1. Is it possible to change the Could and Dark scenario in the FMC, so that the ground power is already attached to the aircraft? Whenever I begin in CLD, I have to perform the power up by starting the apu, attach the ground power and then turn the apu off again till pushback. 2. The Knob for the Baro/Radio is very slow. On the BGX you can use the mouse wheel to change it, and its very fast, on the 777 I have to press and hold the mousekeys and it tankes a while to change in a bigger range(I also perform RNAV Approaches, and it takes very long to set the radio to 500 on both displays...) I am flying across the Atlantic using autopilot with SPD/LNAV/VNAV PTH commanded. My Progress page has the ETAs and Fuel columns displaying apparently good data but they are constantly flickering at about 1.5 seconds frequency. The ACT RTE 1 LEGS page is showing all of my route legs correctly but without any speeds or altitude values displayed, except for my eventual descent path. What is causing this abnormal behaviour?

Just got a fresh install of Win7 loaded and drivers updated. Installed P3D and then the 777 and the NGX. Go to start up P3D with the Piper Cub as default aircraft on Rwy 34R at KSEA and then select the 777. When it loads it does not ask me for an activation code as it has before. The displays are dark and the 777 landing gears are up in the belly. The NGX just has dark gauges but sitting on gears. Again both installs never asked me for an activation code. I also did a remove and reinstall for both products and that did not solve the issue. Any clues. Thanks Randy Smith

On a turnaround, I turned the fuel back onto run while preparing. I have seen Kyle Rodgers do this. I immediately hear the siren. I have resettable siren turned on. I hit the button to reset the warning and the siren continues. I haven't touched the autopilot, and I'm on the ground. How do I silence that alarm?

Hello again(this is my second post today). I was cruising at FL370 from EDDF to OMDB everything was fine during taxi, take off, climb and part of cruise. I was flying for more than 3 hours nearly 4 and during cruise I was watchin film and time to time I checked sim and everything was fine(no freezing). After that (film was over a long ago) I noticed that screen froze and after some time continued. It continued and I count freezing and "working" time. Sim froze for 15 second every 6 seconds. I remember that I had problem with majestic dash 8 and FSUIPC auto save so I thought it was problem and decided to turn it off but FSUIPC wasn't running it wasn't in addon menu. Someth…

Hi, If I remember well the offset function on the ROUTE page was not implemented in the early versions of the 777. As I recall it was even mentioned in the Introduction or Tutorial 1 that the offset function was not functional unlike for the PMDG 737. Unfortunately, I cannot achieve to find the paragraph anymore. Is that correct?

In short: Access code req each time I select a PMDG product. The 777-200FX works after entering code but 300ER goes all Opensky on me with buttons and switches not responding. Lights will not come on etc. Maybe I should enter separate code for 300ER but can't see one in my archives.

Hello, I have a problem with my PMDG 777. When im enroute at some point of the route it just starts to veer to the right. I dont know whats wrong with it, cause AP is engaged and running fine. If i reselect the waypoint in the cdu it realigns on the magenta line but after like 1-2nm it starts to veer again. May you help me, thanks!

Hi, I bought the 777 for P3d and noticed during a flight that all exterior Lights do not illuminate the ground beeing in the virtual cockpit. When changing to the exterior view all the lights do illuminate the ground. When I switch back to the virtual cockpit the landing and taxi lights disappear after a few seconds. I'm using Prepar3d v3.3.5 and Windows 10 Pro x64. I loaded the 777 as it is described in the manual. Does anybody have the same issue. Is there a fix? I hope someone can help me Lukas Christl

Hi All, I primarily fly the 777-300ER, will also get the 747 v2 when it is released. I want to upgrade my monitor, I will be using a single display. I am thinking something in between 29" to 34". What would be the best resolution, I am hoping to go either 2560x1080 or 4k. any advise on screen size and resolution is much appreciated. Thanks

Hello. I have question why FSX shows lower fuel percentage than it's actually? I was flying EDDF-OMDB with 134150 Lb of fuel and when I enter that value in FMC it showed it was 41% but in Shift+Z(I don't know what it is called) it shows 3% less value and why?

In the PMDG 777 when crossing the threshold on runway 28L at KSFO the aircraft crashes into something that is invisible when the approach is slightly low or shallow. After hearing the "thump" of hitting something I immediately pause the sim and go outside and see the aircraft is about 30 to 50 feet above the runway. I unpause and watch from the outside to see the nose drop to the runway and the nose gear collapse. It's broken. Baro/alt is about fifty feet. Radio/alt is at -2 feet after touchdown. Can the radio/alt ever legitimately be negative? Sometimes a cloud of dust is kicked up from the invisible obstruction. I see nothing wrong with the terrain image and nothing wro…

Hello, I am having a problem with the 777 not saving it's current FMC, autopilot, etc state when I save the flight within FSX. I save my flights randomly in case of crashes or needing to exit FSX using the ; option in FSX. I have done this in the past and everytime I re-load the flight after the 20 second countdown everything loads into the FMC and autopilot. I have taken a bit of a break from FSX until last night. Today I decided to do a 777 flight, I saved it off and on. I then had to exit FSX to do something else and I saved the flight and closed FSX. About an hour later I came back reloaded the flight and the 20 second countdown happened but it did not load …

Hello everyone. Just a short question that confuses me... I´ve been flying the 777/200 a lot on long haul, but suddenly a couple of months ago it always runs out of memory just before landing. Doesn´t matter if I´ve been flying for 30 min or 10 hrs... Can it be related with the fact that I updated to win 10? Its only the 777 that behaves like this, the pmdg 737 and 747 works fine

Hi there, I recently purchased the PMDG 777 for P3D (needless to say I have a legit copy of P3D with academic license). After installing the PMDG777 and launching the simulator, no activation window been poped-up whatsoever. I did a little research on the net and noticed that it might be related to a SimConnect issue -> So I downloaded the SDK from the download link I received from P3D, and installed the SDK but I'm still unable to activate the PMDG777. please help! S.O.S I spent so much money for a product that won't even run

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but after my plane reaches T/C isn't the CDU suppose to automatically switch to CRZ mode? Instead it keeps saying CLB. I don't ever recalling it acting this way.

Hello everyone, I'm doing a flight (Paris to Dakar) with the PMDG 777-200LR and when I'm checking the fuel in the Prog menu of the FMC, the fuel remaining at the arrival is decreasing constantly since the beggining of the cruise (from 9.1 ton to 1.6 ton now). I already checked the Unit (Kgs and not Lbs) and the calculated fuel and the totalizer fuel are the same. I'm using PFPX for flight planning and OPUS for weather. For some reason when I select the terrain mode, the plane (or sim) go haywire. The plane starts lagging/skipping, doing barrel rolls, dead flips. As soon as I switch mode to OFF or go to WXR settings, everything goes back to normal. Any ideas? Thanks, Kosntantin K

Just noticed that in the 777 the amber ( maneuvering speed limit ) starts being displayed after takeoff when passing THR Red height if flap retraction speed wasn't yet reached. I guess it should only happen at the ( first ) flap retraction.
