PMDG 777

  1. I saw the two previous threads regarding this issue but I felt that this was a different enough of an issue to warrant a new ticket. I purchased the T7 package today (09/21) and after downloading it, got the "dreaded" coexistence failure. I would have thought that any new download would automatically be the newest installer, although I could be wrong. Any assistance would be appreciated. Best Regards, Brian Hankey

    Hello, I just purchased PFPX and have been trying to build a simple plan from KJFK to KMIA and no matter what I do, I keep getting this error when validating the flight ®ROUTE152 FLIGHT NOT APPLICABLE TO IFPS What am I doing wrong?..     Hi all, Not sure if this has been covered, I have tried to search but peoples terminology for the issue may not be the same. Flying the 777-300ER now and every 2 seconds my ETA's and Fuel Figures flash, at the same time the destination ETA jumps back and forth by about 5 mins. Not had this issue on the outbound flight so not sure whats changed. Seems to me as if the FMC is struggling with a bit of route or something which is causing constant ETA changes. Regards Oli

  6. Excuse the long title. First off, when a B777-300/ER takes off, the main gear rises as the plane rotates in order to assist in ground clearance. This is not modelled in the PMDG version. Has anyone raised this issue before? Anyways... I search high and low for topics about this and found JUST ONE. I don't know what shocks me more.     Well, since August anyway. Added the 777-200 which nobody uses but no 777-300ER. Not sure why the 200 was added, waste of time IMHO It has been updated at least.   8. First off, thank you for taking the time to help me out! I saw another topic with someone who was having a similar issue 3 hours into his flights, but I don't think it was ever resolved. Here are the basics. I did four test flights this weekend with the T7, and all four CTDed within the first four hours.     I asked the same question during the PSS fs9 era. The conclusion was the PSS T7 FMC was not fully functional as the real one. Now, we have the PMDG 777, I still have the same question. How can add the international dateline into FMC and have it display on the ND? I captured what I saw from justplane DVD (the Air canada 777-300er one), is it just a fix at W180?

  13. I've only done some troubleshooting with this but was curious if anyone else has encountered this problem. Essentially, when trying to load a 777 flight at default ATL in P3D, using one of DL's gates on the E terminal, the sim loads with the 777 crashed because the landing gear is up (and so subsequently loads up the default flight). Now, I've reviewed the CTDs (this isn't one) and the landing gear up / dark cockpit issues and this seems to be different. The 777 loads and operates normally everywhere I've flown it thus far - stock airports and addons alike. And it will load normally at other ATL parking spots.     Hi, It could be my PC, but I just got the 777 and I love every bit of it except there's one issue. When it's on the ground it works perfectly, but as it takes off, it stutters for about seven seconds every eighty seconds. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any sort of fix?   16. Recently I was watching an Seattle 777F episode on PilotEye where a brand new 777F was shown being created in Everett factory and then purchased by LUB and flown back to Germany. In route the captain explained that the reason the Lufthansa Cargo went with ipads for the EFB is because the apps could be constantly updated whilist had they gone with a hardware installed version it would have been very expensive to upgrade them later down the road, and likely whatever they installed would be stuck with for the lifetime of the aircraft.     Every time I push all the way down on my toe brakes in the 777, I get the same dang warning and issue. It says "Tire Pressure" then "Brake Temp". Then I can't move. I have random failures turned off, but I get this issue everytime. Is there a fix / explanation? /Grant Meder

  19. When I try to load a PMDG Aircraft using select aircraft the plane does appear but the plane is hovering above the ground without the wheels being down. Everything else is dark and you can't select anything. I have been experiencing this on and off meaning sometimes it would work as intended and other times as I described above. I have reinstalled FSX and the PMDG aircraft to no avail. Currently I can't load any PMDG without it appearing in the hover position. All other aircraft (non PMDG) load and work as intended.   20. On many flights, the descent via VNAV PTH from TOD starts right on the mark and follows the FMC flight plan with no issues. However, on some flights, the descent begins with the 777 well above the path and, without an altitude intervention, will stay well above the planned path for the entire descent. I have read the introduction, tutorial, and looked in the detailed manuals but have not found anything that I can identify as obviously wrong. Is this something I'm doing wrong in my flight planning for the flights where I have the problem, or just part of flying the 777? Thanks, Stephen Bickford

    Hi All, Steve38 wrote a very nice piece of software permitting the GoFlight MCP Pro and GoFlight EFIS to work with the PMDG 737 NGX. So to Steve38, have you considered, or do you plan, making a driver/software to support GoFlight hardware for the PMDG 777?
