PMDG 777

    hello guys i have a problem with the 777-300ER. when i taxi, the aircraft turns always to the right. always a little bit. this problem i only have with the 300ER. The 200LR / F is rolling straight down the taxiway. but the 300 turns to the right at every taxiway. with other aircraft, the md11 or freeware aircraft etc. i don´t have a problem. can you help me please? i have the FSX-Version. thank you Mario Murhöfer

Hi, my last flight KJFK-LEBL with Delta 772LR went as follows, and I'm not sure if I did everything right: First of all, PFPX proposed a random routing, not a NAT, which I think was OK, because, a. The chosen random track stayed at least 1° of Latitude south of the eastbound NATs, and b. The westbound NATs crossed meant no problem either because they're valid between 11.30 and 19.00 zulu, and my flight was carried out between 00.00 and 05.43 zulu (crossing took place at around 04.00 z).     In the NGX I'm used to searching saved plans for the one I want. Can't seem to do that with the T7. Route Request does nothing - unless I am in RTE 2 - when it behaves just like the 737 and gives me a list of all my saved flight plans in PMDG/FLIGHPLANS/777. I can get a saved plan in RTE 1 by typing it into co route and activating it. Very odd - is the RTE 2 behaviour not meant to work also in RTE 1? I've searched Intro/Tutorial/FCOMs and this forum to no avail.

  4. I did 2 flights in 3.3.5, both flights had to save and restart. KDFW-EGLL, restarted once. LTBA-KJFK restarted twice (cautht it just in time before crush). Sceneries are FSDT/T2G/Asoft 737 NGX has been effected by 3.3.5 too, although a little bit. With 777, the VAS is decreasing badly in cruise flight which was not the case with 3.2 where VAS usage was steady, I could circle the globe 20 times and the VAS could stay more or less the same, dropping only at lower altitudes on approaches. In 3.2 I could land at EGLL with 650 MB remaining (done many times, never under 600 MB at the end). P3D settings were kept as they were with 3.2. Update to 3.3.5 was done via …

    My FSX was running in win7 64 when I installed PMDG 777-200LRX + 777-300ER + 737-8900NGX and everything worked. Then I upgraded to win10 64. I think that in my 1st use of 777-200LRX I just couldn`t make the left engine worked even starting following the sequence. I thought maybe it could be an issue with win10 (even that PMDG recommends it). Uninstalled win10 (!!!) but had the same trouble. Uninstalled ALL PMDGs, cleared the DLL.XML of them (.../Users/.../FSX). Upgraded to win10 (don't see why I shouldn't do it), reinstalled all PMDGs, checked that they went to DLL.XML.     Hi All! I recently bought the PMDG 777 for P3D off of Aerosoft, and everything works fine (at least in my eyes) however TCAS seems to be turning off on its own. Yesterday I did a flight from AMS-JFK and I remember turning off TCAS and later I look at the ND and see the warning. Today, I was already roughly 5 hours into the flight without a warning, and then suddenly it appears again. It is not the warning though, the TCAS switch on the pedestal goes back to standby also. Really it is not a big issue, but for realism needless to say it would be great if it didn't turn off. Thank you! Daniel Rehling

    Hello, I'm having some wierd issues with the 777. After about 45 mins in flight, I loose LNAV/VNAV or flight surface control with or without the autopilot engaged. I've tried disabling the autopilot then re-engaging... re-engaging the AP with a FLY direct with nothing happening. I've even disconnected the autopilot and tries manually flying but the flight control become unresponsive. I've duplicated it 4 times tonight without a fix. I've tried un-installing/re-installing with no success. I recently updated to the ASN SP5 beta. I'll try uninstalling after de-activateding the license and re-install and re-register and see what happens. Any help with be appreciated. …

  9. What is the format of the 777X_shortcuts.ini file? A typical entry looks like: TO/GA SWITCH=71, 1, 1, 0 There are four numbers after the control. The numbers are the decimal value of ASCII characters (ie 71 is "G"), but why four numbers?

    I always wanted to ask, what is this and why is it coming up? Massive manual... can't find it. 3 messages appear on eicas display followed by loud warning noises. Messages and warning removed by rotating the map scale knob on efis control panel. Also, is there a way to define Cold and Dark items? Lot's of overhead functions are enabled upon C&D (selected via CDU), I would like to be able to press few more buttons on start up ))

    Hi, Amazing product and incredible level of system replication however I would like to know if there is something I could do to make the skin of the airplane less glossy. It is too shiny, at least for my liking, and I have surfed the web looking for answers only to find some something about alpha layers and other stuff I know nothing about. I think that a more matte look would give it a more realistic appearance. Any help would be gretaly appreciated. Thanks FCC

    Hi all. I'm new to posting here. I do not yet have any PMDG products but I am in love with what I've seen of their 777-300ER. The reason I ask this seemingly stupid question is because I currently have the Captain Sim 777 and my PC seems to hate it. I can run and fly without issue, the VRS Super Hornet and Tacpac, same can be said for the IRIS F-22, A2A C-172 / 182 and P-51. The Milvis F-15E also runs well, but the CS 777 is horrible, it freezes all the time and takes forever to be able to even enter info into the FMC. So, with that being said and in the hopes that some here have had or do have both 777's, can I assume that if I can't run the CS 777 I may be w…

    Hi guys I recently upgraded to windows 10 and I am doing a test flight but have some strange FMC problems. Basically there are no altitude figures on the LEGS page and the FMC flickers and in turn no ETA figure. Will a reinstall of the PMDG 777 resolve this issue? Thanks

    I'm trying to find what I'm doing wrong on the go around procedure. I've been simulating this for about 4 hours and it always bust the go around altitude by 500-1000 feet. I'm practicing at KLAX rwy 25R. Missed approach altitude is 2000 feet. My procedure is as follows: Hit TOGA Flaps 20 Positive rate of climb Gear Up verify MA altitude set 400 feet verify LNAV At 1500 feet acceleration altitude the aircraft firewalls the throttles to achieve flaps up speed which bust the MA Altitude.     Hi, I've read in the tutorials that navigation lights are pretty much always left on. I've always let them off except for the dark hours, of course. Is it a law to leave them on? I would imagine that they can hardly be seen in the broad daylight, so I'm wondering it it adds to security. What's the rationale behind that? Something that similarly bothers me: 1. Wing lights: what's their purpose? 2. Logo lights: I assume they are left on during darkness, even if amidst the ocean? 3. Taxi lights: only during taxi or also during landing / take-off? 4. Runway turn-off lights: the same as above. Thank you very much.

    Hi, when I switch the dome lights to the middle position, the light goes on. Very good. But when I turn it to the most right position for full brightness, the light stays as bright as it is, just seldomly and completely randomly it get's brighter. It's unpredictable when what happens. It even reverts all of a sudden from the bright state to the not-so-bright state without any knob movement. Thoughts? Am I the only one with that problem?

  20. There is a folder in the airplane simobjects directory PMDG 777-GMC I am guessing that this is the taxi camera? if so, I am wondering why in the aircraft.cfg file it has sections for "exits" and "effects"? Can these be removed, I wonder if they might help with framerates? Thanks - David Lee

  22. So this is my first flight with the PMDG777. I'm going from KJFK --> CYVR and inputed 11040lbs of fuel before takeoff. While i'm in cruise, I monitor the PROG page to see how much fuel I will have left at my destination and it keeps dropping. It dropped from 64 to 5 in a time frame of 2 hours~. I've asked many VATSIM users that fly the PMDG777 and they can't seem to figure it out. I dont suspect any fuel leak/dump because it doesn't give me any warnings.   23. Hey all, so I was doing a route from RKSI to KJFK and I noticed like 6 or so hours into the flight a Low Fuel QTY message pop up on the EICAS screen. I turned off all fuel pumps and put on the center ones. I dont know if i did that right or whar to do in that situation. The L and R fuel tanks were low, like 1.3 and 0.7 but the center tank had like 82.3 in it so i know there is fuel. What should I do?

  24. Hello, I recently purchased the PMDG 777 series and I fell in love with flying it. I wanted to look in further into the realism into flying it so I went to the operation centre and tried to add the Virgin Australia livery but I don't know how. It is installed but I don't know how to set/ download that aircraft livery as the one I want on the aircraft. If there is I file that downloads into the computer, I have no idea where it has downloaded. It's not only for that livery, I've tried it on others and had the same result.   25. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but sometimes when I try to enter the TOPCAT recommended thrust limits the FMC briefly blinks the selection but then quickly resorts back to full thrust. Trying to enter an assumed temperature to reduce the climb thrust does the same thing. The V1, VR and V2 fields are populated but can't be set. The TO N1 field is set at 100.7. I don't get any error messages. Other times, when trying to initiate the same flight it works fine. Has anyone seen this before?
