PMDG 777

The last time I did a computer reformat was 2011 and i just recently did one. After a total of 3 re-formats, i finally narrowed down the problem i was experiencing. I had FSDT GSX installed which works fine with the PMDG 737. As soon as I installed the PMDG 777, I noticed I now had floating objects. The ground service vehicles would be the guy floating and might have 4 wheels while tugging the baggage carts. The fuel truck was just a guy with a shadow below. Additionally after flights > 2 hours ( best I could figure without doing an extensive amount of flight tests- same results on 4 flights over 2 hours, different results after flights around an hour), the airport tex…

Hi folks, This isn't a problem but just a query about technique. I have heard and read from several (not totally reliable, in my opinion) sources that the flight control page is not summoned on the systems display whenever pilots in the RW 777 perform the flight control check, which is what I've been doing since I first owned the PMDG 777. Is this true, and if so, why? It seems perverse to have a visual synoptic display of control movement during a control check and not use it. Cheers chaps

Instead of letting autoland land the plane I like to either handfly or use V/S to manually control the decent rate. Once the APP mode has locked and started the descend down the glide slope, how can you turn APP mode off and switch to use V/S to manually control the decent rate? Thanks, David

Hi everyone Please tell how I can get the captains FMC, ND, PFD to come on after cold and dark start up Only the F/O's came on, was still able to do all the prelim checks and load a flight plan and eventually flew to my destination but the captain's side did not come up at all I followed the manual BTW Is there something I missed? Hi Folks, I noticed that after loading a saved flight everything works except the external lights (i.e. Nav, Beacon, etc). Is this a known "phenomena"? Apologize if this question was ever asked and answered in the past. Thanks! Ilya Eydis

The 777 works great but when installing a livery and after selecting that one I wanted the cockpit is dead, and the outside view only shows a body with wings and textures but the gear is gone and the plane is floating !! Why won't the add on liveries work? I just bought it yesterday for FSXSE and like I said it work great on the default pmdg livery

Hello everybody! This is my first post, so please, bear with me. I was looking for support to my PMDG 777 and I've been redirected here. I have the honor of flying the 777 and I'm using the Sim as a tool for preparing myself for the PPCs (through the use of the Failures), or if I have to fly to an unfamiliar airport (to study the peculiarities of its approaches) , or just to exercise the instrument scanning. Whereas in the second and third case the product fulfills the task (almost) perfectly, in the first case I think there is room for some improvement: so I would be more than happy to pass some suggestions to the Developer Team. In the sim, soon after you depressurize the hydraulic systems the flaperons droop. Travelling almost every week out of Toronto airport, I see a lot of the Air Canada 777s on the ramp, where I see that the rudder is deflected but the flaperons and ailerons aren't drooped. I added the LatinVFR SCEL Santiago Chili airport to my sim world and copied the FlightAware plan for the trip on AAL from Miami. First, the FSX-only installer from LatinVFR has to be spoofed to install into P3D but that was easy. Then an uneventful all-nighter in the B77L [American uses the B772] to the Chilean capital. The per-descent checks revealed SCEL reporting light and variable winds, scattered 300 ft clouds and visibility 325 m, slightly below CAT II in pea soup fog that fills the valley. Hi Guys, More 777 woes for me. Both of my CDU's completely freeze pre-flight. I sit on the FO side and I tried the Captain's side too but no luck. It always happens when trying to put in the cost index. I've tried a flight from EGLL - KPHL about five times now with different starting scenarios but it never seems to get past that point. I can tell when it's about to go weird aswell because when I select the VCN8 arrival for KPHL, it doesn't say SEL next to it when I click it, unless I go to another page, then back to that one. I recently purchased the PMDG 777 and have a question about VAS use. I have most of the ORBX products on my system, including the various scenery regions. I also use FS Global Ultimate Americas. I know that VAS usage is an issue, and I've restricted my 777 flights to airports that are far from the ORBX scenery regions. A route I often fly is from Chicago to Detroit, and I believe it uses only the default P3D scenery. I also follow the PMDG guidelines for minimizing VAS use. They must have their reasons, but hey, it's interesting... - The FO resting his left hand on the yoke like that. That's not a proper technique for grabbing the yoke. - The FO's watch hanging is going to get stuck at something... Just posting this as an example that sometimes real pilots are not "exemplary". A PC pilot sees this and then goes saying: "You HAVE to put your inboard hand on top of the horn of the yoke, I saw a real pilot doing it!"

When i unpack the base back (777-200LR) Symantec endpoint remove the PMDG 777-200LRF Base Package P3D.exe file and say it have WS.Reputation.1. No other file from PMDG have this problem and im sure it is not a virus, but still it is a problem that should be fixed or? i did a search for WS.Reputation.1 and did not find any info so i did a port abate it! I've just received as a gift some logitech G35 headphones which offers surround sound. I'm thinking of installing the surround sound files from the OC to enjoy with these headphones, but I will also sometimes just use my standard speakers (when the other half isn't home ). Will this cause any weird sounds?

HI Guys, Please see my recent crash report. I am using Win10, PMDG 777, ASN, FSreal time, Traffic Optimiser and MT6. I was flying from KJFK - EGLL with Aerosoft EGLL Xtended active I was 10miles from TOD when the crash happened and was using auto time compression from the PMDG 777 fine until I reached that 10mile from TOD. The default flight sim atc is only calling me "Boeing" if it is talking to another aircraft and telling them my location, or if I call atc and it says my type. Not Boeing 777 or 77LR. Hi guys , I just bought a saitek yoke with throttles wich i m planning to install tomorrow . Spent some time time today reading about all the install options and calibrating the different axes in fsuipc and P3D . My question , Is is best to calibrate everything in fsuipc or in P3d , i m asking this because i m not sure when i calibrate the axes in fsuipc the 777 FBW system gets messed up. Hoping someone can help me with this Thanks

Hi, I have P3d 3.2 and the latest version of PMDG 777. Everything works fine when I use the default aircraft but as soon as I try to load the 777 (installed and uninstalled several times) the program crashes without messages. Can someone help me?

Hi chaps, I don't know if I'm the first to notice this or if there's something I'm doing wrong but I just got outside to look around after flying LFPO-TFFR and noticed a problem. My incisive, Clouseau-esque powers of deduction lead me to one of two conclusions: 1) I was flying the wrong aircraft or 2) there's been some kind of repaint mishap with PMDG's F-GZNO repaint: If this is a repaint problem, I thought it might be worth the chaps in charge knowing, in case they want to change it.

Hi all, I used to have the NGX (had to say so long when I moved to P3D). It was my occasional 'fix' from being a, largely, GA/bizjet flyer. Heavy metal is cool but aviation is more than just that, right? Still, I miss my fix and pondering what to get. I have the light NGX experience for comparison. So, my question is, how does the 777 compare as a flying experience? I know it's bigger and 'fly by wire' but not sure how that matters in a practical sense. Is it more complex or less than the NGX?
