PMDG 777

I always knew that the PMDG 777 was a beast of a simulation, but I never really realized how true that fact was until today when, during a final approach I encountered this: Never in my many years of simming has an aircraft actually TOLD ME TO "GO AROUND". PS: A video of this approach will come shortly PS2: Startup procedure of the Boeing 777. As the tutorial says, never has an FSX user witnessed such a beauty. PS3: Yes, I know I'm not the first one to realize this, but still I wanted to show my joy with this milestone in my personal simming career. Just let me be happy for a moment!

Hi, I'm trying to put in some situational awareness into my flights so using the FIX and ALTN pages a little more than I did. My plan was to enter my alternates etc. I'll start the with the ALTN page question: When entering an alternate and then selecting the details of that alternate the following data can be added: WIND ALT/OAT This is basically the selected wind and OAT at a specific altitude, is there any logic used to select this altitude? Should it be the altitude expected at that point in the plan or a closer to ground level altitude to give a view on surface winds? ALT in the top right seems auto calculated, can someone tell me what this is…

Hi Everyone Some months ago my operating system crashed requiring a total reinstall of everything including my fsx and all the add ons including the B777. What I did notice at the time of installation was a loss of textures in the camera view on the MFD. I never really worried about fixing the problem until now. Does anyone have any advice on what is likely causing the problem and how to fix it? Its not a deal breaker, just annoying - and happens with all my add on liveries. Cheers Bluey

Hello, I have recently installed the PMDG 777 Base and Extension. Both of which installed fully. When I launch P3D V3.2, there are no error messages, the PMDG 737 NGX works perfectly, however, when I load the 777, I will see the cockpit and the environment. But after 2 seconds the sound will stop, and the game will crash to desktop. No error messages are recieved, or any logs. I have followed the manual, installed the said SimConnect drivers, disabling ContentError Logging. I would like to have as much help as possible, as that would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I noticed that on my 777 when I change the MCP and pedestal light ( during taxi/ flight) the background scenery freezes by the time I am changing the lights. Is that normal ? Do you have any idea where does it come from ? Thanks Chris

Very interesting video by KLM showing an approach to Quito on the 777 Have a look at how awesome the flight simulator scenary looks! It's light years away from what I've seen in all Full Flight Simulators I've had the chance to fly. Usually the terrain you see is of blurried greens and browns (the mesh, which is what matters ultimately, is accurate though). I asked the following questions: - Do you disconnect the GPWS to avoid annoying terrain messages in final? From what we see in the video it looks like they don't, maybe not required for Quito. - If 144 is the Vapp for Quito, what would be the Vapp for Amsterdam at the same weight? - Autobrakes 4 wi…

Need Assistance Please: I downloaded from PMDG my purchased copy of the 777 and extension. I have installed and activated now several times said files. During night time, the textures and skin of any of the liveries I have also downloaded do appear, however in day light situations, they disappear. Meanwhile, all the freeware aircraft I have downloaded work just fine. I do have "aircraft cast shadows" turned off because I run a lot of add-on scenery, such as Flytampa Kai Tak so the AI aircraft scenery are not invisible. Perhaps I should turn that option 'on' and see what happens. Since I run a lot of add-ons, I did lower my settings so it didn't eat up …

I bought the navigraph updates this morning, updated to 1604 and now some airports have no information in them anymore. I'm confused, I had a really old AIRAC installation file, 1213 I think so I installed that out of curiosity and then everything came back. So I re-installed 1604 and I still get this error on my FMS. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks. Hey everybody, I am looking to do some extremely long flights in the 777-200 and I had a question about the actions of the center fuel tanks. I have noticed that during flight, when I have fuel in the center tank, I end up having to turn the center pumps off about 4 or 5 hrs in. Normally, this isn't an issue, but since some of these flights that I want to try will run overnight, while I'm asleep, I was wondering if there is a way to either have it switch over automatically to the wing tanks or to have it take fuel from the wing tanks AND the center tanks at the same time. Hi PMDG Team, After an interruption and a fresh install of Windows and FSX, I am back to the T7. So far I flew the Air France livery and disregarded the PMDG livery. After a trial and a closer look, the PMDG livery is now superb to my eyes and has become my default livery! So thanks and congrats to the painter(s)! PS: In the future, if another version of the T7 is released (eg. 200ER), I would love to see a little french flag besides the other flags.

How do I re-configure the FSX SE jetways to dock at door 1L? Right now, they dock to 2L and it is such a stretch for the jetways, there are gaps between the telescopic sections. Passengers literally have to jump to the next portion of the jetway. :smile: Thanks! Rob Olson

Hi, i just baught the PMDG 777 for P3D, and the problem is whenever I try to change a frequency with a .22 in it, there is no way to get to the .22. Example on Gatwick, APPR is 125.22, but the 777 frequency jump from .20, to .25. Any tips? Dillon Lifrieri

I currently use FSX (in the Bootcamp partition of my iMac), Orbx Scenery, PfPx Flight Planner and PMDG aircraft As my knowledge of using FSX in STEAM is negligible I’d appreciate comments on: 1. Would I get improved performance in STEAM? 2. Would I be able to use my current software? Or would I have to start from scratch and buy them again from STEAM? Cliff

Today, 2016/03/26, I buyed the 777-200 for P3D. All seems OK ( I have flayed the 777 for FSX) but the Op. Center not display the option for download liveries. The versión of P3D is v2.5, the path for is C:/P3Dv2.5 and my OS is Windows 10 And the 737 for P3D is also wrong in Op. Center: said me the 737 is in the FSX versión (in red) Adn the best thing is that with the Migration Tool Activated, the Op. Center ¡Works perfectly! Please any help? ¡Thank you in advance! Hello everyone, during the climb phase I noticed a "Packs" message on the status page in the lower display unit. It appears around FL260 and disappears after a few seconds. I guess this happens on the real thing too, otherwise you wouldn't have this modelled. I'm curios what causes this behaviour becaus the EICAS shows no failures at all. Maybe someone can shed some light here. Thanks in advance!!

I updated the navdata and I'm getting a " KORD ERR: 10C RWY N/A" msg. There are no SID/ STAR or RWY for KORD. I tried to update again with the same results. Any help please. Jeremy

Hey all. Loving the 777. Fantastic plane. Everything has been going great but last few flights I have had an issue. Despite having an ILS runway in my FMC and tuned to right frequency, when I arm the LOC or G/S there no signal. I am getting the proper DME reading however so there is a signal there. The buttons light up when pressed. This is a recent issue as it has always worked before. Both times have been at airports with ILS (OMDB and LFPG). The difference between these 2 flights and my other flights are a different panel start state. I always flew with the default panel state where the engines are running. Hi there, I just bought the 777-300ER Extension package (again :wink: ). One thing I love is of course is the Taxi-Camera, or GMCS, and thank you very much for making it not just a 2D popup, but implemented into the VC (I guess through some cooperation with LM!?) Anyway... is it a limitation to P3D, that in the bottom two pictures (central landing gear) no weather is being rendered? Or is it a method of yours to reduce the impact on performance? I noticed it on all my testflights so far and was just curious, not that it really bothers me... Sorry that I got no screenshot ready, but I guess you get my point! Cheers! Carl

Hello mates, I had that topic maybe 2 years ago or so while using the FSX version. Now in P3D I'm still having the same problem that the 777 is not following the nav line (LNAV) in some areas. It starts shaking and drifts to the left right or somewhere else. See the photos please they describe best what's going on. Last time the advise was to use another weather tool. But I don't see the point buying a new weather tool as FSGRW is normally doing good job. The problem occurs normally when flying over the big "lakes" and not very often over the country. Of course I'm using the newest version of P3D+PMDG+FSGRW+FSUIPC if that helps a bit.

Hi guys, I am trying to adjust the pax nbrs/figures for the 777-200. I want to cram 308 pax into the 200, but there are only 234 in the aircraft! I think I just need to adapt the weight for the classes, right? But if I make the math I am getting 134lbs per pax in the Eco and that's not right. When I adapt the weight, for example no first class, does it show in FMC also 0 for first class? How can I adapt those figures for C48 Y260?? Thanks for any tips Greetings

Unfortunately, since I was driving, I couldn't take pictures or videos, and as you know, those are worth a thousand words...so you get more words here. As I was driving in to work this morning, I saw an object in the sky that was pretty out of place. Not only was this an object that was pretty out of place, it was a very large object that was out of place. I glanced over at it and figured out that said large, pretty out of place object was a United 777-200.
