PMDG 777

When am trying to install the 777-300 I open as admin complete the install then go to the pmdg ops and it's not there I go the fsx and its there as well is there a fix please

Hi chaps, I can't seem to get the search function to work at the moment, it just keeps returning me to the PMDG General forum. I'm looking for the definitive Empty Weight, Maz ZFW, Max TOW and max LW for the PMDG 777, both variants, as as far as I can tell, the PFPx and TOPCAT data is about 10 tons off the mark. Can someone direct me to this info in the manuals or, even better, tell me if they know them? Cheers!

Hi, I am currently unable to fly the triple. This is because after around 3 hours of every flight I do in it, P3D crashes and I have wasted my time. This seems to happen since the latest update. I never had the problem before the update and don't have the problem in any other aircraft. I have tried reinstalling the 777 with no success and also tried reinstalling p3dv3 but the flight still crashes. This has become very frustrating as this is my main long haul aircraft. Is there a fix to this problem? FYI the problem isn't OOM. Thanks, Joe :smile:

Recently when I approaching to an airfield like VHHH or RCTP, the CDU did not auto tune the ILS frequency for me Is there any problem? I have installed AIRAC1602 and also tried in AIRAC1601 Both doesn't work now It should be fine before when I using AIRAC1601, is it related to my AIRAC or other issue? Thanks for help

On my flight from OMDB to KSEA I tried to request wind data on the ROUTE DATA page, but "DATA LINK NO COMM" was displayed on the ROUTE DATA page. According to FCOM2 11.34.3 the status message "NO COMM" occurs when - the VHF and SATCOM data radios are operational but not available - the VHF data radio has failed and the SATCOM data radio is not available, or - the SATCOM data radio has failed and the VHF data radio is not available. As I attempted to request wind data between 85N18 and 80N23, my assumption would be that VHF data radio nor SATCOM data radio is available above a certain latitude. Is that correct?

Page 85 of the tutorial reads ..."we will set the landing minimums by clicking the outer EFIS control panel MINS knob to it's radio setting" Okay. That's easy. It continues..."clicking the RST (reset) button in the centre of the inner knob and then turning and holding the inner knob to the left to select 50 feet radio altitude- you'll see the number in the lower right corner of the PFD." I find it difficult and fiddly to get to the required setting and am wondering if there's an easier way to reach the required setting? Cliff

I just updated my FSX version of B772 and B77W by removing first (as per Robert's suggestion) the existing version using the Windows remove programme and then installing the latest version (1.10.7025) downloaded from the web site. Everything went fine as far as FSX is concerned (even though as I was somewhat surprised not to have to provide the license activation number) but I no longer have access to the B777 in the Operation Center meaning that I am stuck with only the aircraft in the PMDG livery with no possibility of customization. Any idea on how to solve this issue Thanks Paul

Hello, some months ago my fsx began freezing each around of 5 seconds while flying the 777, it begin freezing after around of 2000NM of flight, when it happen the only way to fix it is saving the flight and restarting the FSX, it sometimes also back working if I: DECREASE FSX GRAPHICS CLOSE ACTIVE SKY NEXT CLOSE MY VA ACARS But when I open the Active Sky Next again it appear that my FSX is not open, but it is, I'm almost sure it's a FSUIPC problem You may also see my problem on this video: pay attention to the FPS and you will notice the freezing. Can someone help me to fix it?

I am using the latest version of the 777 freighter. Sitting in the virtual cockpit prepared to push, if I turn on the flood lights my FPS drops from mid 20's to mid 10's. I do not remember seeing this in previous versions. I am using FSX plus Acceleration. Nvidia 700 series video card with latest drivers, Win7 x64 with latest patches and updates, latest EZDok beta patches. - David Lee

In the options menu on the 777 fmc, you can select to add the alternative airports to the exported flight plan. Shouldn't ASN when auto loading the plan, enter the alternate airport in the ASN flight plan screen? Is that an issue with ASN? - David Lee

For anyone like me who uses Virtual Avionic 777 I have just heard back from Ricardo and they expect an update for the new version of the 777 within a week.

Hi, Today I bought PMDG P3D 772LRF and 773ER in Aerosoft download shop. After I install pmdg, I tried to activate my serial key but I can see only error message. ERROR : Unable to connect to activation server. Please check your internet connection and try again. My internet condition is so good and has no problem. Hi, Since I have updated the B777 to version 1.10.7025, there is no SID / STAR data available in FMC. The B737 does not have this problem in FMC. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the B777 with no success. FMC shows the Error, for example: "LSZH ERR: 10 RWY N/A" The newest data is available in the folder "C:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\PMDG\SIDSTARS" - I have a Navigraph subscription. The FMS Data Manager shows "PMDG (all products) up to date (1602 Rev. 1). Thanks for you help! Best regards Matt

Hello, I've been flying nicely the 777 lately, but today happened this: After a second try (shutdown and restarted everything) it happened again, but I was able to fly a little further, up to 220 knots and flaps up. Both times the autothrottle refused to command the preselected thrust, it remained mid-range and I had to disengage it in order to apply thrust manually. Funny thing I haven't changed anything, and the 777 is updated for granted, besides I flew yesterday and it was flawless, as usual. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi: Due to the change of P3D version 2.5 to version 3.1. I uninstalled the 777, I downloaded and installed from my PMDG account to this new v 3.1. Now I find that the 777 appears to me cold and dark without the countdown while initializing, the external image without landing gear and the plane practically floating. The worst part is that can not select something using the mause or controls only answers some keyboard functions. I already uninstalled and repeated the procedure and come to the same situation. In v 2.5 always worked correctly. Please help.

On two of my recent 8 flights in the 777 I had an engine shutdown due to the rise of the oil temprature beyond the limits. This always happened when reducing engine thrust at the start of the descend. The oil qty goes down to about 5-6 and this causes the oil temp to rise. As soon as I notice this I bring the thrust lever of the affected engine to the mid position to allow better cooling of the oil, however this has no effect at all. According to my source 15 is the minimum oil quantity for dispatch, however this also happens with oil quantities up to 18. Unfortunatly I can't find any hard data on the minimum oil quantity in the FCOMs or FCTM. I get similar impressio…

Hello I wonder if someone can give me an explanation for the following situation: If I choose "real weather" everything goes fine except the contolling of the plane after touchdown. Example: Landing on RW 16R, wind 200/12. After touchdown the plane moves to the right to where the wind comes from. This doesn't make any sense to me - I would expect a movement to the left. Anyway it is difficult to keep the plane on the RW. Did I ignore some facts?? Thanks for your information! Peter LSZH

In the PMDG 777 with the landing and taxi lights on whenever I turn on the taxi camera at nights the external lights do not illuminate the ground from within the cockpit. As soon as I turn the camera off the lights illuminate the ground. Any help with this?

I read the read me files and installed all the .msi files as instructed. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the latest version then reinstalled my FSX SE but I still can't get it to work. It is very frustrating as I am a 777 captain and I like to practice a few NPAs on a computer before I do my recurrent sim. On a separate note I muched preferred the old 2D panels as they are easier to manage while practising approaches. Overall is quite realistic but I think the 3D cockpit and difficulty installing it are huge barriers to its potential.

Hello, I wanted to install repainted textures on the 777LR, showing the livery of my Virtual Airline. These repainted textures are working within FSX, but not at P3Dv3.1. The tail fin, horizontal stabilizer and engines are black, the rest of the plane shows up correctly. It seems, the "pmdg_777_tail.dds" isn't showing up. The painter did also a repaint for the freighter version of the PMDG 777F. Here the tail unit and engines are showing up correctly within P3Dv3 and also FSX. But if I take this working freighter texture and copy it to the 777LR, it remains black. What can I do? Where is the difference? Best regards Chris

Hello. As you see on the picture I have entered at step climb at waypoint N61E007 to FL350S (From FL330) , but why are the next waypoints still on FL330 ? Im pretty sure this have worked ok before.

During every flight in the T7, I always get sound warning "ALTIMETER SETTING", I set both EFIS panel is the QNH value to specify PFSX (DEP & APP), I also suggest the correct TRANS ALT values in, i'm flying with LNAV and VNAF and change in MCP the ALTITUDE on time. even if I B pressure warning is to continue the 30 seconds I wants to know what I can do about it please?
