PMDG 777

I'd like to save FMC settings at different stages of the 777 Tutorial. In that way I can deal with mistakes by having a base of correct inputs rather than having to start from scratch every time I run into a problem. The last time I saved an in-flight scenario after reloading it the FMC was no longer in the same state. I assume therefore that I saved incorrectly and I need to learn how to do it correctly. Hello. First on FMC's "NAV RADIO" page I set "VOR L" freq and its "CRS" And then on EFIS Control Panel in VOR/ADF Swithes I set the switch to "VOR L" position. When VOR is caught there is no radial green line on nav display, only pointer. What cause of no radial green line?

Hello I bought both 777-200 plus 777-300 EP. Learning how to fly and using FMC. Everything works just as well but: There is no chronometer in either side of panel. The installation went well, no trouble at all. Am I missing something? Tks

Hi, Just a quick question: I have noticed that some external animations, such as the fan-blades (turbines), appear to be running at a lower framerate than the rest of the sim. I know this is by design, but is there a .cfg file somewhere I can use to change that if I want to? Sometimes when I'm flying above the ocean at 60FPS on wing view, I would like to have 60 FPS fan blades, for video recording. This is not a bug... just a question! Thanks a lot,

Hello, At one point of you approach, typically when established on final, you need to change current set ALT to missed approach ALT. When I fly an ILS approach and the G/S is captured I just can turn the ALT up to the desired value and the T7 stays on G/S captured. Flying a RNAV approach I would need to do that change after the last WPT with a vertical restriction. Now what I experience is that when I change to the higher ALT quickly, the T7 stays on VNAV and continues, but when I just change over slowly it may initiate a VNAV capture. Is that the real behavior you need to pay attention to?

Hi, how do I calibrate the throttles on the T7 using P3D V3 ? PMDG recommends not to use FSUIPC. But P3D allows only Null Zone and Sensitivity Adjustment. Not like in FSX where there is full adjusting possible. In Automatic FMC Operation I can get 102% N1 and Idle 21%, which is OK. But manual it is limited to 85% on Take-Off (much too low) and 35% minimum on Idle (much too high). What can I do? rgds Harry I forgot: I am using Logitech G940 Throttles rgds Harry

Has anyone else noticed a significant increase in flap transit time since the Jan 16 update. Cleaning up after landing going from 30 to up now takes 1min 25 sec as opposed to 59 sec before the update. Extension times are also increased but I haven't timed those. Does anyone know whether this change was: a. Intentional? b. making it more or less realistic? Does anyone know what the transit time on the real aircraft is to go from 30 to up? Regards Jim Mclean

Hello Guys, today I pulled my T7 out of the hangar, but when I selected the CAM Button on the EICAS Panel I received a CTD from P3D(V3.1), my Windows tells me that this error was caused by ntdll.dll and .NET Runtime. I'm running Windows 10 64-bit. Thanks for your help. greetings, Phil Tereny

Fellow Pilots: I downloaded and installed the update to the 777 with the VAS improvements and I have to say a big "thank you" to the PMDG dev team! My setup is newish but not high-end and FSX:SE is still FSX, so I was hoping for something, knowing that anything was an improvement. Hello I am using the fantastic B777-300 When viewing the ECL display I find it very awkward that the various settings for the display are are positioned far over on the right of the MCP display. At the moment I do not use Track IR which will probably make viewing of the ECL display easier The only way I can think of viewing the ECL settings is bring up the EFIS MCP RIGHT panel Is it possible to change the position of the ECL display? Is there an easier way to view the ECL screen ECL settings? Should I get "Track IR" even with only one monitor Any advice most welcome Clive Alexander

Well i took the plunge and upgraded to P3d V3.1 All went very well and i decided to do a night flight with the T7. I noticed i could not turn the dome light on with just battery power. As soon as i connected external power it came on. I'm sure i used to be able to switch on the dome with only battery power. When i then came to shut down the T7 it would not switch off the dome light even with no external power or battery switched on. I'm sure Kyle mentioned the dome was fixed in 3.1. Do i need to reinstall the T7 now i have upgraded P3d? I know there is an issue with windows and cabin lights at the moment and it might be worth waiting for the nest updat…

I've got some question about ILS approaches, can you help me guys? I have no idea where else to look for answers. I'm playing on FSX SP2 version. First of all, what the difference between ILSZ approach, ILSY approach and ILSW approach? (Eg: For LGAV there are three different ILS approaches for all the runways, and I don't know which one to choose). Secondly, (this one is more like an issue) most of the times, although the ILS frequency is the correct one, It won't establish (In the PDF, three dashes will be displayed next to DME no matter how close to the runway I get). Hi, I just purchased the -300ER expansion for my PMDG 777 using P3D earlier this evening. Works and looks really great. First flight attempt for me is KSFO-NZAA. Basically, I use PFPX + TOPCAT together and figure out my fuel planning, it works great with the -200. I am aware that there is no -300ER extension for TOPCAT, so please let me know if my issue is caused by this. So, for my flight...; I just let PFPX find the route automatically, and then entered a random ZFW as I always do, followed by setting up ETOPS. For the ETOPS, I don't think I am 100% correct but I try to use the lowest ETOPS time possible (I have a couple of them I set up in the menus, 12…

So I broke down and repurchased the 772 and 773 expansion, for use in my freshly installed P3D v3.1. The problem I am having as stated in the topic title, is that after everything I know to try, any time I load any version of the 777, the camera zoom defaults back to 0.7 in the VC, and 1.0 for outside views. And if I zoom out, change views, and return to the previous view, the zoom is again back at the default. I am using the latest version EZDOK, and tried adjusting the zooms, and saving the camera profiles in EZDOK, but they never "stick". Hey all, informational: I was getting crashes when flying the PMDG 737 and 777 (and no other aircraft) in Prepar3D v3 (faulting module panels.dll). After some mucking around I was able to fix it by disabling the Flight1tech GPS drivers (for the GTN 750 and/or G1000) in the dll.xml file. Looks like those of us who want to fly big iron and also do real-world GPS training need to modify our dll.xml file prior to each flight depending on which we want to do.

After I unistalled the pmdg777 as stated and reinstalled with the new update I now have black windows.. No light or anything but a black window.. is there a fix to this. plz help Carlos Colon

Hi guys, I'm just wondering about using the lights on the 777-200 whilst on the ground and whilst in the air. I know the taxi lights should obviously be used during taxi, and that the landing lights should be used when taking off and landing etc... but it's more the other lights such as the Strobes, Wing, Nav, Beacon and the Runway Turnoff lights I'm interested in.... When exactly do you use these lights when in the air and on the ground? Could anyone give me a brief description of when they are all used?
