PMDG 777

Every time I am flying the PMDG 777 300, my FMC indicates at the bottom section the following message " FLT NUMBER UPLINK " what does this message mean. Any reply would be appreciated, thank you. Jacobus Homan

Hi captains! Again I have an issue with the 77L brakes: Course of events: 0. I cannot find a braking bug in 1. I flew ACA33 CYYZ-CYVR-YSSY and had *no* problem to brake before the take-offs and after the landings. 2. Sitting at YSSY the random fault 'REPAIR ALL BRAKES' kicked in, and now it is unclear what we shall do, either or both of the following? 2.1 Is it sufficient to clear this fault in PMDG SETUP/AIRCRAFT/FAILURES/WHEEL AND BRAKES? Evening, I have the latest AIRAC installed on the B777 PMDG, for example ZSPD charts available via website being Google is dated 2013 and I cannot find any that is dated 2015 onwards without having to pay a full subscription fee. I noted way back in 2007 with the B744 there was no SID/STARS pre programmed via the FMC, you have to individually download for free and place the text files in the Database folder. I am happy to keep the current AIRAC I purchased from NAVIGRAPH but for added realism is there a way to modify and replace the up to date SID/STAR files for ZSPD to match the charts for 2013 via the FMC? Hello ! I have a problem with creating a new livery of my 777-200 . I work with Photoshop . I first edited the master and then cut . All parts I have flattened and then copied according to Fuse 1 , 2 or . 3 Then I .dds files created and inserted into the Texture file . The Texture is also displayed , but at a night flight, I have no light . It looks as if all the blinds were drawn. A ghost plane . I can not find my mistakes easily . Please help me. How it is possible in year 2014 to just lose track with a huge, modern and high-tech aircraft like a triple seven? What we Do know so far: 2 minutes after the flight's last transimission with an ATC, the aircraft's transpoder along with it's ACARS system, both shut down. Evening, I got the PMDG 777 for christmas in the CD/DVD version. I've been to the PMDG operations center a number of times since then and keep getting notifications saying there is an update for the aircraft however PMDG are still trying to find a way of processing the update for CD/DVD customers. I was just wondering if there has been any updates as to when this aircraft update will become available for CD/DVD customers as I've heard it reduces the chance of out of memory errors occuring etc. during long-haul flights, especially as a FSX user. Any help/updates would be appreciated. Thanks Dom

Hi, I have a view problems with the lights in the cockpit and a view questions about it: Isn't there any "Master" switch or knob (except the "Storm" switch I normally use every time) to turn on and dim the flood lights all at once? How do you turn lights on (without using the keyboard) when u are in cold & dark in the night? How can I iluminate just the the lettering during the day? Sometimes I want them on but there is no way. Sorry for theses maybe stupid questions but I think this is a bit complicated.

​Hello everybody I have read quite a lot of all the documentation available and unfortunately I did not find out how to make the ATC Window appear on the screen. Once however I succeeded in opening it by pushing the Scroll/Lock key as shown under Option/Controls - Key assignements. But now this doesn't work anymore... I'm used to the FSX and started with Prepar some weeks ago only so my knowledge maybe is not sufficient yet although I did some successful flights with the 777 already. Hi I have recently switched to P3D v3 which is going well so far. My only issue is that the interior of my 777 particularly the LCD screens are blurry. They are readable but not as clear as they were in FSX. If I undock them they are crystal clear, but not when docked. The rest of the flight deck is a bit fuzzy as well Does anyone have any ideas to help? Cheers David

Hello, I just want to learn more about CATs and I thought, where else to seek for answers than here... Reading charts lately, I have noticed that most of the times, there is another ILS approach chart for CAT II and CAT III on the same runway, although the Final approach course may be the same, other values like DA(H) and other stuff, varies. Any explanations are welcomed, please be as clear as possible. Best Regards

Hello PMDG I am posting a topic to inquire about my pending support ticket reference the 777 not liking loading any saved flights either in flight save or on ground. I have no problems loading saved 737 flights, I did install PMDG advised .msi's fro sim connect. My P3D is 3.1 for the client version and 777 is latest. Hello everbody, I bought the pmdg 777 few days ago. I would like to play the tutorial (flight from Maldives to Dubai). I already purchased the FlyTampa addon for Dubai. For the departure from Male I need the aerosoft addon. Does anybody know if "Maldives X" is compatible to FSX Steam? My apologies to Henry Higgins for the Topic Title...... Why does the FMC sometimes need a pilot to land an aircraft? Surely it has all the relevant information that the pilot has when making an approach and landing? So why should it sometimes be necessary for a human to bring the aircraft to a safe landing? With computer science now so sophisticated I find it difficult to think of an explanation. Cliff

I use a gaming laptop (see specs in my sig) and during my flight I notice two things: When I open the ATC window the text won't show up most of the time. Sometimes the ATC window won't open at all. When I try to run GSX, when the menu opens the text is gone/not visible. Also noticed that AI traffic is often mostly not visible (all I will see are the AI vehicle tires running along the ground). This happens a lot of the time. Before I purchased the 777 I got some fair warning that it may push the limits of my computer. But since I don't run any other addons (weather, airports) that the sim should work ok with PMDG. I guess the only addon would be GSX and may be the…

I wanted to know that it was safe to install on the 777 and if I should use the APPEND or INSERT mode for install. This is ASNs in-flight pop up gauge. I am running FSX/Accel.

Hi, I would be grateful to get clarification about one matter. On 'descent' page there is speed restriction 250/10000. There is also a place for another - pilot input restriction, so i put 200/5000. Problem is that plane does not follow my restriction, even LNAV/VNAV were engaged all the time during descent. Do i understand or do something wrong here ?

Flying from KLAX to KSFO all goes smoothly until beginning the descent. However from then on the speed and altitude begin to vary from the required figures on the LEGS page with both being in excess of what they should be. On extending the Speed Brake I received a cautionary message from the FMC and in consequence retracted it. To land as planned I controlled the speed and altitude myself. Was that the correct thing to do or should I have let the Autpilot do it’s job without interference?

Hi. First of all, congrats for this fantastic bird! I would like to suggest the following detail, in order to get the plane even more realistic: In the real planes, when the oxygen test is performed, the total amount of oxygen falls a little. I think is easier for developers to introduce an entry for dropping the quantity, e.g. 10 psi every 3 times the botton "Test/Reset" is pressed in normal or 100% mode, or every 3 seconds it's pressed in EMER mode. It's just a small detail, but these things make a unique airplane. Thank you! Antonio.

today is my first time that I flight the 777 after the new up date. I tried to use time compression but is not longer located in the chronograph. were is the spots to use the time compression.

Greeting Captains, PMdG 777 is by far one of my favorite addons. I am however having an interesting issue with loading the aircraft up after a saved flight. Most of the time I am able to save a flight, close fsx and load the flight up again after relaunching fsx. Here recently I have on 2 seperate flights loaded a saved flight and the plane had black gauges and the green initalization band did not appear. Any Ideas how to fix that? I tried the save feature again on a new flighht and it worked fine. I am totally stumped. Brandon McKay

Can anyone here describe what it's like to fly the 777 with a Force Feedback Joystick? I can only imagine but I think it would make things a lot more realistic.
