PMDG 777

Hi, In the FSX manual of the 777, one of the biggest problems with using a VC in FSX is highlighted (p.136): Has this been fixed in P3D? If not, does anyone think it will ever be fixed in either the Dovetail or P3D version? In other words, how much time should I commit to developing my own 2d panels... :-) Bryn

Hi, How do I make inches the default setting on the altimeter when I first load up the T7, instead of hPa? I know how to change it on the glare shield. How do you make it the default setting? I had it as the default and then I don't know what changed it. The only thing I see thru the cdu is the units for metric and pounds and centigrade and farenheight. I spent a good part of the night going thru the manuals but could not find any reference to adjusting it. Thanks, George Nacino

Hello everyone! I have a question about the programmation of the FMC in the PMDG Boeing 777. Just before we set the Takeoff page, there's one called THRUST LIM". Anyway, I know what is this page and what do I have to set here. But how to calculate the temperature that we want to simulate ? Is there a perf table? Thanks!

Assigned switches on Stick and Throttle work fine, the mouse will operate the FMC but will not operate any of the knobs or switches. Have un-installed and re-installed no difference. Have EZCA installed which works fine too Any ideas please?

Hi: Still disappointed by the few frames to get even with the 2016 version of the 777. Under P3D have no more than 15 or 16 frames, with the configuration bars less than quarter, my team is Alienware with all available options. In a multi-monitor environment. Under FSX frames are much better around 30 f / p . Moreover, the behavior of the PMDG 737NG is much better in both environments. I must be satisfied with that performance ?. Please comments. In the PMDG 777 with the landing and taxi lights on whenever I turn on the taxi camera at nights the external lights do not illuminate the ground from within the cockpit. As soon as I turn the camera off the lights illuminate the ground. Any help with this? Bert

Hello, today I have experience for the second time in a row some strange issues with my VNAV upon descent. After about 1 or 2 minutes into the descent, the auto throttle would just set 100% power until the plane overspeeds and the climb like crazy to reduce the speed. I have checked all the speed infos on the FMS, and they were correct. There were no stall warnings or anything unusual before this thrust issue occurred. The only way to continue my descent was using FLCH or manual V/S. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I`m using P3D V3 and last 777 version. Thanks

Very interested in buying this plane but so far only found the short feature list on the main 777 page at PMDG site. I know there is much more to this plane than that so is there a full feature list? Want to know all the toys, bells and such for this plane to make a decision. Also will it ever get the in vc EFB such as CS has?

Hi I have 16Gb Ram with an I7 processor FSX-Steam, 64bit Windows 7 Since I have installed the PMDG 777-200 & 300 I am experiencing problems with OOM (maybe this is a coincidence) Previous I only had the PMDG 737-800 installed. I have not experimented yet taking out the B777, would this make any difference in the amount of VAS used? Have browsed through the forum topics and have not yet run into similar topic. After installing the PDMG 777-200LRX and while getting familiar with the features following the tutorial and intro manuals, I have encountered the following 4 problems; FS2 Crew panel problem. 1. Unable to maintain a functional checklist flow on the panel. Instead I get an "SDK Error" msg on the panel and to contact tech support. No further issues so far. 2. Unable to minimized the FS2 Crew panel to a size that will fit the screen or preference. 3. Hello I have noticed that the First officer displays ( PFD,NDs &CDU) are blank, althoug they do display if I centre click them. I expect that I have turned them off but I cannot find how to turn them back on. I have tried to adjust settings in the PMDG SETUP OPTIONS even tried to selt PMDG default setting but no joy/ What have I missed? where and how can I turn the displays on again?. All, I was wondering if someone could lend me a hand or point me in the right direction so I can get this problem sorted. So I started a flight in the 777 the other day from Heathrow to Copenhagen. As I was only going over to Copenhagen I was quite light. The issue is that I simply don't know how to perform a derated take off. Every time I take off I apply full power and the aircraft's off the ground within about 6 seconds (obviously I am doing something wrong). I can derate with no problem on the NGX. I just click the option underneath the top one in the FMC which is 24k I think or something along that line. I try to do this in the 777 but it's not working f…

I had a problem with PMDG B777-200 about to store any routes. After complete a route with all data, i go back to rte page1 and choose SAVE route. The fmc response is: route saved with the route name like LIMCLIRF001. The problem is when i try to take a company route in a new fmc load. The answer is: not in data base. Hello! Thanks for the 777, if it possible to make more bright the cockpit light from external model in the night, especially with the engines shut down and/or with apu on.

The WX radar is fully functional as far as I know (at least it is supposed to, correct me in case I'm missinformed), however, pressing the WXR button in the EFIS will have no effect (the WX in the ND is displayed), no clouds would be shown in the ND even if overcast. I'm using ASN, any suggestions? (I'm 100% sure that this has posted before, but I don't know if there's a search function in the forum or something, if there is one, please let me know, so I will not recycle old topics, ever again.) I just realized that I don't seem to have VC shadows in the 777. I am almost positive that I do in the 737. Is this not a feature on the 777, or is something messed up on my end? If not, is there any way to get those? They really add a ton to immersion and make me way happier than they have a right to, haha. Thanks! -stefan Edit because I should probably have put it in the first place: This is Prepar3D v3.1 using the P3D T7 with the -300ER expansion. VC Shadows appear to work on the other planes I've tested including the 737 NGX and some default planes.

After a flawless flight from Alicante to Heathrow all went smoothly until levelling off and remaining at 50 ft above the runway. The speed setting was 5 knots over the flap 30 recommended speed. The altitude was set to zero.
