PMDG 777

  1. I’m under the impression that the ILS approach and landing is superior to other systems. If that’s the case why don’t all those that cater to “heavies” offer that facility? On several occasions I’ve built PfPx Flight Plans based on STARS that I later learn (when entering landing information into the FMC at the Top Of Descent) don’t offer ILS runways. Cliff

    Forgive my semi double post, I figured I'd ask in the 777 forum too since I'm interested in finding different carrier layouts for the cockpits of the 777 also. Do you have a favorite cockpit layout of different carriers and suggestions to try different airlines? I like the options chosen by Aerologic it has my favorite 777LRF settings. -David Lee

    Flying the 772 Freighter from PANC to KSEA, I received a descend clearance a bit early (some 45nm from TD), so I applied a DES NOW after switching MCP ALT from FL410 to (suggested by ATC) FL320. As nothing happened, which I frowned, I waited sometime till a point where she really must be descending. Then I switch to FLCH and she started down. After sometime, i tried to re-engage VNAV, as I did many times before after DES NOW procedures. The VNAV button lit for 2 seconds and went off. Just to make things short, until I landed at KSEA, I couldn't use VNAV again. The option for override A/T is put to NEVER. I use FS2Crew 777 button, but I can't remember the FO messing d…

    Hi, after landing I had a brake overheat and tires failure, with the airplane remaining stuck on the taxiway and the parking brake stuck to the set position. I tried to clear the failures through the CDU but no way, at first they looked cleared but then the values increased again. Is that normal? Why am I not able to clear that failure? Thanks.

  5. Hello guys, I was able to convince the well known Repainter Christian Mohr to paint the whole Lufthansa Cargo 777 Freighter fleet. He did a stunning job, as always with his repaints.   6. Hi, With the latest installer VERSION v1.10.7025 I did a fresh install of the 777-200 and installed 2 liveries (Air France and Boeing Worldliner) through the Operations Center. All looks fine in the Operations Center but the 2 liveries do not display in FSX. Any help would be appreciated.     Hey when I fly the 737ngx for an 6 plus hour flight, I have no issues. When I try to fly the 777 around 5.5 or 6 hours, my screen goes black. Im using Windows 10, Nvidia 970 card, Intel i7 3.4 and 32 gigs of ram.

  8. Hello, very recently after weeks of smooth and without any issues function, my B772 started going crazy. When I start up the engines the reverse thrust is automatically activated. I return the throttles to idle position but then when both engines are running they are not responding to throttle position. Moreover the packs would turn on and neither the engine bleeds. The EICAS shows though that both engines are running normally, that the throttle levers are moving normally and the outside view shows the engines spinning normally. I would deeply appreciate any help. George Panagopoulos

    Has anyone had any success downloading VERSION v1.10.7025 from Aerosoft's Support Database site please? Whenever I try, the site requests my box registration key, which it at first accepts, then the download commences( using Internet Download Manager) . This download process hangs repeatedly, mid process. When I try to re start the process, the Aerosoft site won't accept my product key any more. I contact their support. Their support department re-sets the key, it works fine again, the download fails mid process again and the key is not accepted again! Then round we go again, and again.... Anyone else seeing this behavior or is it me? Thanks in antici…

    Since the new update was installed, at night time adjusting the Glare-shield light causes the plane to bounce and the game to stutter bad while adjusting it. This is the inner knob that controls the MCP panel light adjustment. Can anyone confirm this also? I'm running FSX/Accel on 1024 settings. Thanks, Dominick Lafayette

    Hello, I don't know why this is but my 777 FMC says "NAV DATA OUT OF DATE". This is with both the -200 and -300 aircraft. I know it isn't because it shows NAV DATA: AIRAC-1603 and Active: MAR03MAR30/16. I am using Navigraph FMS Data Manager to update my NAV DATA. My PMDG 737 and my Aerosoft Airbuses are fine... it's just the 777. Anyone knows what's causing this problem? Should I ignore it? Thank you. Regards, Pablo Vazquez

  14. Good evening everyone I started to fly the awesome tripple seven yesterday and I am currently on my second flight from Dubai to Düsseldorf! I have one problem tho: When I taxi my view in the virtual cockpit is sliding to the left or right while turning. When I finish my turn the view stays there which means that after every turn the view is messed up and I am sitting either in the center console or way off to the left. I followed the "Introduction" in order to set up my FSX (if that might help you with helping me). Can anyone figure out what is wrong or does anyone have a solution? Happy landings!

    Hi, I installed the PMDG 777 a few month ago. The Operations Center was working very well. Today I wanted to start the Operations Center and it wasn't found on my computer! The folder "PMDG Operations Center " is away! The start menu entries for the operations center and the operations center updater are still there. It seems as the folder is deleted. I didn't delete it. It's not in the trash bin. Nevertheless, is it possible to reinstall the operations center without deinstalling and installing the 777? thx Foreman

  18. Hello together After having saved a scenario by pushing button "Populate With Current" it is no longer possible to restart the aircraft in a CLDDRK-Mode even if this is the "Startup State". Of course it is possible to load the panel state CLDDRK afterwards but I would prefer to have it at the very beginning of a new flight already. I appreciate your help, thanks! Peter LSZH

    I encountered a very odd issue when attempting an ILS landing at KCLT 36L. Basically I setup everything as expected, however, the runway was way off, and not even close. It had me basically landing 1/2mile west in the trees. Is this a P3D issue or an issue with PMDG777? It also was not able to pick up the localizer (for good reason I suppose) Thanks Rob Polak

  21. Sometimes I cannot land as the LOC and APP buttons aren't active. And example is approaching Dublin's (EIDW) Runway 28 using the STAR PIPG1X Thinking that I may have outdated data I installed the latest Navigraph AIRAC cycle 1603 and tried again after choosing STAR VATR1X with PfPx. But again with no success. Where could I be going wrong please? Cliff

Hi everyone i have noticed this before, i am currently on a transoceanic flight to OMAA from CYYZ and im at FL348 cruising at MACH 0.83 now i wanted to slow down so as to arrive on schedule but when i input the new speed into the FMC, nothing happens, the autothrottle does not move. i am using fsx steam, i have been using pmdg for a while now and this is the first significant issue i have had, if anyone has a solution i would really appreciate it.     Hi Running PMDG B777 with FSX and fly regularly with a good general knowledge of the sim/aircraft. For some reason I keep getting an "Insufficient Fuel" warning from the FMC. I have had this occur on short and long haul flights. I always carefully calculate loads and fuel and I fly with real weather software. This has never happened before! I have noticed that if I turn off the fuel tank cross-feed switches the warning resolves. This warning occurs prior to departure and continues regardless of my loads and fuel. This is a new occurance that I have never experienced before after many hours in this sim. Any ideas? Thanks Marc Biggins

    Hi, I have updated to the latest T7 200/300 updates and now both types don't auto tune the ILS frequencies when the ILS Approach is selected on the arrivals page. By the way, this all worked as advertised before the last update. I have removed the previous installation of both T7 versions as per instructions via the CP for a clean install. Just "PARK" is now displayed where the ils freq/with a small park would normally be on the NAVRAD page. Needless to say I am at a loss - no idea why it suddenly does not work. The locations checked so far is OMDB (FlyTampa) and OTHH (TaxiToGate). I always load the Long panel state when prepping for a flight. I have the latest sc…

    Hi guys, I have a little bit of an issue that occurs whenever I'm descending while on A/P using the VNAV of FL CH modes. Essentially, the desired attitude will be reached in "steps" the last couple of hundred feet. In other words, say I'm descending down to 220 for 380. During the last ~500ft (so around 225), the aircraft will over compensate and level off too soon. So basically, by the time I reach FL220, the plane would've already leveled off about 3 times before that, as it reduces the descent rate too abruptly and ends up cutting of the descent completely, only to have to "re-descend" to the desired altitude set on the MCP. Again, this occurs on the VNAV and FLCH…
