Hello everyone, I have problems with pmdg's fuel. For instance I am flying from GVAC-TJSJ it is 5 hours flight. According to pfpx I should take 55000 kg fuel. And when I enter it in fmc I check the remaining fuel at the destination airport. And fmc says I will have 5.5 tons of fuel at landing. But after I am airborne this value always decreases. For example I am in the middle of atlantic and fmc says that at 2150W (leg) i will have 0.0 fuel. The headwind is acceptable it is 30 knots. I also can't take fuel in the air because I am flying with fsairlines. So why the value of remaining fuel always decreases ? How can I solve this problem. Because this proble…

After loading a fight in progress, the plane loses altitude while it loads everything and starts the engines. After that, the plane cannot keep the assigned altitude and ascends/descends too fast (1300fpm for just 100ft of altitude). Putting ALT HOLD on does nothing, even if I tell the aircraft through the FMC to make a step climb to a higher altitude. VNAV does the same thing, and it happens with ASN off, as well. I verified the hold thing (pressing on the ALT HOLD knob) is off, and double checked that I changed the cruise altitude on the VNAV page and rolled the altitude up to the new cruise altitude to make a step climb.

Hi everyone After installing SP1, and running it for one flight, then installing the 300ER, I started getting a fatal error message after exiting FSX. There are no issues with flying the airplane. Everything works beautifully. Once I get the fatal error, it will restart FSX with the default aircraft. I will exit again and it will do so with no problem. I'm running ASN and EZDOK camera. Thanks for any ideas regards Doug

Good morning, don't know if it's a bug, but during the descent to Hamburg I often got the FMC msg 'Drag Required', although the engines were running above idle (around 50-60% N1). The AP and VNAV/LNAV were activated. Maybe it was caused by turbulences? Best regards Daniel Harms

Hi, Has there been any collaboration between PMDG and PFPX during development to release an aircraft temple for PMDG 777-300ER in PFPX similar to what already exist for PMDG 777-200LR soon? That template obviously is key to proper route and fuel planning for PMDG 777-300ER in PFPX. Thanks in advance for any info, I have search both this forum and PFPX forum and couldn't find any answers. Regards, John Johnson

Evening, When requesting wind data and route in the FMC is there a way to manually specify how long the delay to receiving the data for example requesting the route or wind to take say 40 secs to come etc, is there a method of altering that in the CFG files Thanks Jake

Hi Can anyone explain why the ZSPD (Shanghai) runways and SID's and STAR's won't display in the FMC DEP/ARR page? The navdata file appears to have all the runways etc Using 777-200LR P3Dv3. Cheers David Cook

Same problem with the NGX, when I switch outside views or inside VC with my EZDOK hotkey, the whole screen shows a quick 'white flash'. What I do now is to right click on the small white box (or the light sensor) on the top right corner, undock the window, and the 'white flash' dissappears. Does anyone have the same issue?

Hello everyone. I am having an annoying occurrence every time I close P3D. It is a pop-up window telling me there is an error, and that it has been logged in a P3D folder in My Documents. I've done my research, and it seems like I'm not the only having this, however, I would like to know if this is a problem, and if so, what is the problem and the solution. From my research, people have been suggested to turn off error logging, as this doesn't seem like a big deal. Instead of masking the issue with just turning off error logging, I would like to take necessary steps to make sure this doesn't repeat. If anyone is more familiar with this, please let me know. There a…

Earlier on, I had an issue with loading a flight. This issue hasn't really been resolved, and I am coming here once more to ask for help. When I load a flight, my 777 goes crazy. I saved a flight about an hour into a route from Toronto to Copenhagen. At the time of the save, the simulation rate was normal speed, panel state was saved under the same name as the name of the save of the flight, and the game was paused. The flight was normal, meaning, it cruised at a constant altitude along the magenta line, with A/P on, along with LNAV and VNAV. When I loaded the flight, the flight did not load into a paused state, but that's okay. After a minute or two, the plane just b…

https://mobile.twitter.com/airfrance/status/664115763427590144 I know these aren't the best pictures, but hopefully once the aircraft is out in service, more pictures will be available. I think it looks really cool!

Hi, It's pretty minor but I've noticed this with the 777-300ER (which I'm now running the P3D variant of and much prefer the sim overall). First this isn't a complaint per say but perhaps it's been overlooked, have you noticed how some of the wing views on the 777-300ER aren't all that well positioned, when you compare them to the positions used for the 777-200LR base package. Take "Right Wing Forward" for example, in the 777-300ER you can barely see the wing at all where as on the 777-200LR you got a view of the wing and part of the engine itself. Like I said not a major issue really, but sometimes I like to 'look out the window' and I keep having to manually a…

Hi folks, I am just on my way LFPG--AFR438--MMMX and planned for NAT track B: B GOMUP 59/20 61/30 62/40 61/50 PIDSO EAST LVLS NIL WEST LVLS 310 320 330 350 360 370 380 390 EUR RTS WEST GINGA NAR - Before GOMUP I climbed to FL310. To my knowledge the assigned FL is kept until you leave the track, here PIDSO. Since the FMS planned step climbs while on track, I though I could set the FL to FL310 while on track B and entered FL310. However, the FMS immediately reported 'Insufficient Fuel' as a consequence that no further step climbs where planned after leaving track B. So, I deleted FL310 again, but this somehow crashed the VNAV mode: The left FMC …

Hello all, Topcat is not going to be updated with the PMDG 777-300ER! Asked about this with Judith Blaschegg (FlightSimSoft.com) This is the awnser I got: Nov 14, 11:30 at the moment there are no plans to add the B777-300 to TOPCAT, the -200LR/freigher variant is already available (in beta) but adding a new aircraft type is very time consuming and for some aircraft there are no data available. Sorry to be not able to give you a positive answer. So for many years they have given us false information at their forum telling us that they where working on a profile for the 777-300ER! Does anybody know a good alternative takeoff…

I've noticed that if you dont program manual speed restrictions into the legs page and simply use the SPD TRANS or SPD RESTR on the VNAV DES page, the green circles don't show up on the ND. Of course, when you approach 10000 feet, VNAV does level off the plane to decelerate as if the circles were there. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Hi all, I would like to be able to operate the spoilers using the mouse scroll wheel. Is there any way to assign the axis to the scroll wheel? I've managed to assign the mouse wheel to the Spoilers Extend/Retract key in the FSX control settings but this requires that the mouse cursor is placed over the speedbrake when it is to be used. I'd like to be able to stay in cockpit view and just spin the scroll wheel as required. Thanks, KF

Hello, I am considering shelling out 90 clams for the PMDG 777-200. The main PMDG products page has screenshots of the VC views but none of the panel in 2-D. Would someone be so kind to either point me in the right direction to see this or post a SS here in the forum. I would like to retire my Wilco 777 for FSX. Thanks Randy

Hello all, I have seen a lot of information regarding the service pack updates and the massive changes that the 300 and SP1d bring in terms of flight controls model and autopilot logic. Q1: How come that such a radical difference had to be implemented after the initial design? Was it due to latter discoveries about the real design/behavior of the aircraft? Was it to make it more user friendly? Was it to make it more realistic? Was it to reduce complexity as compared to the real airplane and therefor easier to run on a limited environment (FSX) and hardware resourced at a minimal cost to realism? I am assuming that given your (PMDG) expertise you know from the sta…

Hello all, I have the boxed version of 777-200LR/F from Aerosoft which includes updates up to service pack 1c. I want to get the latest service update - SP1d - and I don't know how. Per PMDG's website instructions, the only way to get SP1d is via an electronic purchase: "You will need to log-in to your eCommerce account and redownload the 777 installer from your View previous orders page or from your original purchase email." Since I have not purchased it through eCommerce (and obviously there is no email), how can I get Service Pack 1d for my 777-200LR/F ? Thank you all in advance, Ionut (John) G. Micu

Hi guys, one thing which is bothering me since the start: When I program the FMC I have some kind of "input lag". Let's say I want to enter "EDDM" and press the "D" too fast, then I only enter one "D". So I have to pause between the two clicks. In some Youtube videos I noticed that they do not seem to have this problem. In the VC I have around 40 FPS, so I would say it is not a matter of my computers performance. Maybe someone has a hint how this can be fixed? Entering data via keyboard with "tab" pressed is fine. Thanks in advance, Best regards, Stefan Wiesmayer

Hi! Can anyone recommend any tutorial (videos) of more advanced ways of flying the PMDG 777, or how to more accurately and realistically plan descent etc? Of course, it depends on what approach you are flying, but for now I find ILS approaches, where the FMC basically does all the work, coupled with FS2Crew, a bit boring during long hauls.
