PMDG 777

Hi, are there chances that PMDG might add support for FS Global Real Weather anytime? Two issues, one is a missing feature, the other one a bug: 1) the missing WXR-functionality, which is a feature that I bought when I purchased the 777. 2) the bug that using aloft-turbulences in FSGRW causes the 777 in certain areas to behave erratically. No, it's not the temperature bug. It's that the aircraft starts to deviate from the track and is generally unable to hold a given heading (no matter if HDG or LNAV). The workaround for this issue is to turn off aloft turbulences in FSGRW. Upon asking for this issue, FSGRW stated that you guys are not talking to them.…

For some reasons I currently use Prepa3D v. 2.5 and v.3.3 (both are installed on same PC). Is it possible to install 777 for both versions? It appears the installer only manages one installation per one PC and copying folders/files vom \Prepar3D v.2 to \Prepar3D v.3 does not really work. Best regards Kilopapa

I was using my PMDG 777-200 at the FSDT add on KLAX and all the lighting on the plane would not turn on even after the APU completed and engines running. No navigations, taxi lights, or landing lights would function. I read the posts about the APU cannot handle so much power during start up, but mine would not even work during taxi and APU turned off. Did I miss anything? This is the first time this has happened.

I am trying to export FP from PFPX to 777X. Are there any one utilizing PFPX to export FP to 777X? if yes, can you help me for my problem. I put my request in PFPX forum 8 days ago no one responded.

Hi, I did a flight last night into Chicago O'Hare (KORD) using the PMDG 777F, I was surprised to see enroute that the FMC had no runway information including STAR's for KORD. So I flew the STAR using the charts I had, all ended well. However, I would like to know why I have no airports within the FMC for KORD? I've checked the SID/STAR folder within the PMDG folder in FSX and it does have a detailed file for this airport, it's just not showing up in the FMC. Navigation data is provided by Navigraph and is up to date. Regards,

Yesterday I installed the latest P3Dv3 version. All is OK with default aircraft, and I am not using add-on aircraft or scenery. Today I installed the PMDG 777 200LR ( Base Package ) for P3D. Installation was uneventful. When Ioad the aircraft in P3Dv3, there is no counter in the upper left corner and no activation window popup. Also the sound eventually comes up, but no instruments are displayed and while in the air the controls work, their graphical representations are blocked. Any ideas ? Thx!

Hello friends, KLM has recently introduced it's unique Orange color scheme of one of their B777-300. I noticed that amongst possibly others John Tavendale introduced the PMDG 777-300 in this configuration. My request for a similar configuration only now for the PMDG 777-200 ( I am aware that KLM does not fly the 200) to some Goldstar Textures painters remained unanswered and thus by copy of this message my kind request if there is someone out there kind enough to fulfill my request. Hi Everyone Love the PMDG B777 but recently having problems with the planning side in PFPX. Since the last update of PFPX I am having issues with the flight plan asking for weird climbs and descents in the middle of the route. I have checked and there is no route restrictions yet PFPX is sometimes commanding a 6000 foot descent and less than 100 miles later commanding a climb back to the original level. Does anyone else see this behavior? Got to say I do not like these min cost, min fuel, min time options as there does not seem to be any explanation of what these calculations are predicated on and I am not convinced some of these errors are in some way caused by this…

Is there a connection between using locked framerates and getting the 5-10 minute screen freeze randomly in flights? I had not set my fps back to unlimited and had a freeze for 8 minutes an hour into my flight from KLAX to VHHH. I remember pmdg recommends setting affinity mask to 14 no matter your cpu but I believe this can fix the freezing and you don't have to use a different AM setting in the cfg file. I have been flying previously and not seen the freezing using unlimited framerates in fsx:acceleration Before this last flight I had forgot I set the fps locked to 30 for smooth flying in a smaller GA aircraft -David Lee

Hi all, I've been reading through all posts regarding this bug which seems to affect this awesome machine but all posts date back to 2013 and could not find any reply to the posts regarding this ILS error. During approach LOC engages but APP doesn't and auto land can't be automatically executed. This is happening at all airports. Like all the other simmers, I also start from a cold&dark panel state. Does anybody know if this issue has been solved and where I can read all relevant posts? Thanks a lot Saverio

It's very weird what happens with the T7 (200, 300 or Freight) as the Screenshots shows sometimes I get a circle and sometimes I get the normal path, although I do the same procedure. Does anyone already had something like this ? or at least has an idea of what's going on ? for example during the same flight, same waypoint:

hi, first all nice aircraft. I bought yesterday and installed it with the service pack sp1c. Now with the 300ER model i have a problem with the external light. They look like a square or some kind of crystal, has anyone encoutered this problem before and knows how the fix this. i have searched on same forum and they siad reinstall everything, have done that, didn't seem to work. Hello All, I recently bought the PMDG 777-200LRF and whenever I try to load the flight, FSX crashes. I select the plane, then the date and time, then my airport, and click Fly Now. It loads to 100% and the plane is at the gate. Then it just says: "Microsoft Flight Simulator X has stopped working." and crashes. I have tried multiple airports, starting on the runway, re installing the 777 and NGX, starting at different times but every-time it crashes. Is there a solution to this problem? Recently, I was flying the PMDG 777 from EGLL to KSFO (flight BA285/BAW11M), and my route took me ever so slightly south of Iceland and over the southern part of Greenland. After leaving the west coast of Greenland, I received a high VAS warning from FSUIPC, and I realised that my VAS usage was at 94%. This was significantly higher than I would have expected, and - eventually - I got an OOM error (my first one in Prepar3d V3). I honestly can't figure out what caused it; P3D handles VAS very well, and I have flown this flight once before with exactly the same scenery and settings, and there were absolutely no issues. Hello, I just ordered the PMDG 777 (my favorite airliner in real life). I have previously been flying the PMDG 737NG. Are the controls that much different as they are both Boeing? I am wondering if I should ecpect a steep learning curve? Also I have the Mike Ray Training Syllabus book for the 737 which I think really helped learn how to fly the aircraft. Would it be helpful to get his 777 book? Or is there a lot of overlap? Not sure if anyone has both books? edit... duh.. I just realized there is no 777 book! 757, 767, 747, but no 777. Hello, Sorry to bore you. since I bought the Goflight737 FMC and Efis I have been fully occupied with the 737ngx. Today out of curiosity I loaded the 777 and opened the Tutorial and on Pages 75 and 76 it discusses the ETOPS etc. I was curious where "Tabs" got the data for the ETOPS as I printed off a route from Route Finder but there was no ETOPS data in it or did Tabs use a more refined Route programme. I have a question which I know is buried somewhere in the manuals but I can't find it. How do you load the 777 with the engines running and ready for flight? I haven't used this in over a year and need a little info on this setup. Thanks for not making fun of me or telling me to read the manuals. I have a problem landing on the runway without the front gear sinking into the pavement of the runway. I just purchased the Megascenery New York and flying from KIAD to KJFK, landing on rw 19L, however, the flight is without problems until I land on the runway and the front gear sinks into the runway and the flight comes to an end. Hi, I have this weird effect while in cruise. If I take off from an airport that had rain, while in cruise I can see the water effect underneath the aircraft. Like what you get when wheels go over a wet runway or taxiway. Is anyone else seeing this ?.

Recently, Swiss International Air Lines received some 777-300ERs. The Operations Center does not have this livery for this plane, nor is it available to download for the P3D version from the PMDG website. So I request that this livery be applied to the operations center. Thank you PMDG for making such fine products.
