PMDG 777

I almost feel guilty posting this here as it's mixed in with folks who are having problems. I'm having nothing but fabulous flights with this airplane. Hope it's ok to post a screenshot here. Flight tonight from Vancouver (CYVR) to Calgary (CYYC) in the Canadian Airlines - Cargo 777F. Only one shot, loading up in Vancouver. Glenn Davy

Hello, It seems that either I am stupid or that there is a bug with the aircraft, whenever I try to land my t7 anywhere, the plane will descend very very fast, even though engines are at like 60% and whenever I do land, it is a very hard landing normally over -800 fpm and it seems like my plane always sinks in approach, I'm always falling below G/S can anybody he explain to me what I'm doing wrong? I normally do short flights on the t7

I have recently uninstalled FSX boxed and moved to FSX:SE (Steam Edition). I have reinstalled my PMDG777-200 & 300. I ran NavdataPro to update the navigation data (selecting the path for PMDG within the FSX install path), but I am getting a 'Navdata out of date' error on the FMC. On checking NavdataPro it is saying that it has found PMDG FSX installed, with AIRAC 1701 installed. Any ideas? TomcatUK

I am trying to set up P3D v.3.4.18 for optimum performance with the PMDG 777. Referring to the 'PMDG 777-200LR/F Introduction and Use' manual, I can find only 'FSX In-Game Settings' but nothing about settings for Prepar3D. Is there a version of the Introduction manual that covers P3D? If not, which P3D settings should I use? I have tried the In-Game settings in P3D but find there is, for instance, no mention of 'Global Texture Resolution' nor any other of the settings mentioned for FSX. Anyone have some ideas?!

Hi guys, For two days, I cant fly with t7. It crash without any error message despite I did nothing. I uninstall and reinstall, it worked yesterday and I opened today once. After restarting fsx, it asked pmdg_777x.dll whether give a permission or not. And it is not working.. How can I solve?

I don't know how to install liveries from other pages into the livery managre. It only appears the 737ngx livery manager not 777

I think I must be doing something wrong but cannot see what it is. When I am flying the 777-300ER, I can climb to about FL240 and then I cannot climb any higher due to lack of speed. I want to climb to FL320 or so. Details: CYYZ to CYVR (ACA137), take off with derate 1, 48,516 kgs of fuel, ~280 passengers, winds at FL240 are almost on the nose @ 90. Is it the derate? The headwinds? Something else? Suggestions welcomed. David Haynes

Hi, I have recently got a problem concerning the PMDG 777. I bought the 777 in the Spring 2016. I have only been able to fly it three-four times. It worked great. It was wonderful to fly, but some weeks ago, the minute I got in the air, the sim started freezing for about 10 sec every one minute. It is very annoying. When I'm on the ground, everything is fine, but the minute I get airborn, the freezing starts. I'm not very good at the computer, but I opened the task management and discovered that I used 100% of the processor when I was flying, and when the sim froze, the percentage went down to around 50-60 %. I am using around 50-70% of the RAM when I am flying. This is …

Hi there Thank you very much for this excellent airplane! I do have an issue with the altitude intervention function though. In descent with altitude constraints and with the MCP altitude set below a constraint, every push on the button should clear one constraint in between the aircraft's current altitude and the MCP altitude. However, I don't get it to work... FMA shows VNAV PTH. Anyone having the same? Regards, Roland

I have the pmdg 777-300 ER. I have set gpws call out in FMC , plus FO call outs. However, I don't hear the FO calls or GPWS call outs. Is there a different setting I am missing ?. All sound settings in FSX are right to the full. Thanks

Hi, I've recently noticed a bug when entering an arrival for the LAM3A STAR and LAM transition into ILS27R. Doing this would cause the FMC to flicker a few times before erasing all VNAV calculations. The leg page would have no speed or altitude data and the vnav page would be empty of information. Is this a known bug or did I do something wrong? On the latest airac 1701 here. EDIT: I'm currently into my descend and I noticed that during the transition flight from LAM to the ILS, the route requires the aircraft to be at FL60A, however the fmc calculates the descend path to be below FL60 prior to that altitude restriction. Well, I am about to give up..... maybe someone else can help me out. Problem is, external plane colors as well as external lights, terrain and everything is lit up correctly. VC is a different story, i seems like in VC someone dialed saturation levels (or vibrance) literally from 100% to 20%. Any ideas how to fix this, happened after PC restart. Thank you! Konstantin K

Watching the Airline2sim cadet training for the 777, in video 14 at around 1 hour 24 minutes they're starting their approach to the field. The aircraft is programmed to maintain 170/1500 at the waypoint PERLY. This was setup at 28 minutes in the video. However when they set VNAV when approaching PERLY it accelerates to 225, but shouldn't it have maintained 170? I'm not saying this is a bug, it's more a question because the guy doing these videos is a 777 pilot with many hours and he seemed quite surprised at this behaviour saying in the video "it should gone to 170"... "It shouldn't have done that..." Could anyone at PMDG comment on this? Cheers Craig

Hi, Ever since I installed the 777, I have these small black squares on my cockpit screens. When I move the camera, they get larger or smaller (see screens below). I thought this was normal, but after I watched some youtube videos, I didnt see this happen with other people. When I click on a screen, it enlarges and it is totally black. When the screens are off at parking position, they are solid black as well. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you so much! Regards, Thomas image upload no registration

I downloaded the PMDG 777-200 and added 3 liveries to my favorites. When I choose a particular 777, only 1 of the 3 load after I hit "ok", the other 2 just give me a blank screen. I'm running the program as Administrator, and have restarted my computer several times with the same result. Any ideas? Thanks Mark Nelson

I'm sorry this topic does not directly involve the 777 but I thought this was the most appropriate place to post after not being able to find a forum for Ezdok. I am having an issue with EzDok (EZCA) in the PMDG 777 (only noticed in 777) in turns both on the ground and in the air and also when starting a steep climb. The issue is the camera moves during these times and it somehow changes my preset so if I have a camera preset looking straight out the front window from captains seat and go into a right turn the camera moves back and right. Anyone know any solutions? I have tried reconfigure and reinstall of Ezdok and also reinstall of the PMDG 777, none of the above so…

OK, I have 300 landings on the PMDG 777 in FSX. I just loaded in P3D. I knew that on a go-around if I enter a new destination (right afer take-off) on my PMDG 777, the screen would freeze and then I's crash to desk top. I thought is was a FSX issue. So I did the same with P3D and PMDG 777. I did a touch and go at KLAX, at 300 ft I tried to enter KSAN into the as a new destination and the same freeze and crash happened. Now I should be able to enter anything in the scratch pad and try to enter it, but entering a new destination causes a CTD 100% of the time. May I challenge someone to prove me wrong? I know this is not the right question to ask, but please humour me. I have been getting familiar with the operation of my new 777, but I have yet to fly it! It starts up cold and dark and know I have a lot of reading to do to get from here to the runway, but is there an 'easy' mode, all systems running, press ctrl E to start as with the stock aircraft? Maybe a replacement config? I look forward to the learning curve, but first, I would just like to fly this beauty!

Hi all Is there any new product on the market which allows us to calculate takeoff performance without too much hassle? I have TOPCAT, but that one only works for NGX in my case. 777-200 profile seems to be broken as the outcome is always nowhere near what FMC shows when I enter same values. Anyone tried TOPER? Also, I plan to get 777-300 expansion, so I guess TOPER would cover it too. My only concern is it's not calculating derates, only temps?

I just crashed my FSX by trying to add some scenery. I think I up-clicked one file into another and now I get a fatal error. So I am re-installing FSX. I created a FSX OLD folder and copied everything in the FSX folder to it. Can I just copt the PMDG 777 and liveries tothe new folder or do I need to re-instll the PMDG 777?

When I turn on the dome lights in the virtual cockpit at night the exterior model of the PMDG 777 does not show the illuminated cockpit. The cockpit remains dark. This is something which tones down the high realism of this amazing product. Please it would be nice and much more realistic if we can see a illuminated cockpit from outside too. Hello PMDG T7 Fliers PMDG T7-300 in FSX SE 1. I just noticed recently in several flights that the camera does not show any of the Aircraft anymore, e.g. underbelly, landing gears etc. The three Sections only show ground, and clouds. I am wondering what could have happened. According to PMDG I am up to date and I have not changed anything.. 2. The second question I was doing a flight from KSFO to CYUL and ran into engine troubles one hour into the flight and I wanted to divert to KSLC but it was not listed in the ALTN airport choices which they were not suitable for T7-300 landing. Is there a way/procedure to choose an Alternative airport that is not listed in…

I uninstalled from my previous computer, but I did not get the activation box on this computer, what do I need to do?

When dealing with the MCP there is always the possibility of hitting a button next to the one you were actually aiming for. This brings me to the question: when inadvertently hitting the FLCH or one of the HOLD buttons, these won't simply switch off when pressed again. Often activating one function deactivates another, such as the altitude HOLD and FLCH buttons, but I'm nevertheless left with one unwanted function being engaged. What is one actually supposed to do when this happens?
