    I apologize for my English. I try to start a flight out of Zurich, Aerosoft. Because when I am entering the data in the FMC the MSG starts from lack of memory a sadness already I downloaded traffic to 30% and nothing. Use : FSX / Box AS2016 ORBX Global Rex4 (cloud textures) Chaseplane. I bought the 777PMDG for nothing Joao Peralta

    When handflying the 777 it seems like the fbw function that hold altitude when banking within 30 degrees disconnects anytime you make a slight pitch movement with the yoke. For example, if properly trimmed and i bank left and center the yoke the aircraft will hold altitude, but if I try to add back pressure to initiate a shallow climb the aircraft will loose altitude as if the fbw system had been switched off, Returning the yoke to neutral pitch will then also increase the rate of descent. Just wondering if the real 777 behaves this way or if it is maybe a bug?

    During a long flight I had to change my destination to an alternate and now, approaching this airport, I cannot see how to tune the NAV radios to the ILS localizer frequency. When I press NAV RAD, the VOR L and VOR R have frequencies allocated to them, but ILS just says 'PARK'. How can I make the NAV show any ILS frequency? Mark

    I have a question. I am planning a cross the pond in my new gorgeous CPA 777-300ER, but in Simbrief I am unsure of the current ETOPS rating for the 77W. I was reading last night about a 330 min ETOPS rating for the 777 GE engines but in SIMBRIEF it says 180 minutes. I just want to make sure I am planning this flight as realistically as I can because that is what I always strive to do in FSX. Any help/input is welcome from anyone. Thanks. Jimmy

  7. Hi - If I fail both FMCs in the PMDG 777, the system beautifully switches to the CDU-based Alternate Navigation mode. However, I still see alternate airports appear in blue on the ND. This happens even when 1000s of miles away from the point where the FMCs failed, so they can't be one of the 20 alternates present in the FMCs at the time of failure. Shouldn't uploading of alternates be inactive once both FMCs are down? I appreciate any insights. Marcel

    Hello. I have 2 question about 777 compare to new 747. 1. When i switching dome light in 777 my sim (P3D) is always freezing for 1 sec. With 747 the problem don't exist. Is there a chance to fix that ? 2. Autothrottle respond in 747 is way better and faster compare to 777. Is this normal or you will adjust this in 777 ? Greetings. Lukasz Musiol

    I'd appreciate some advice on 'VECTORS'. I have set up a flight from Vancouver BC (CYVR) to Sydney Australia (YSSY) and the Route starts with three VECTORS waypoints. I have no idea how to deal with these. The flight starts at Runway 08L and the first Vector is on a heading of 083, which makes sense, but the aircraft simply heads in that direction for 'ever'. It does not switch to the next Vector or continue with the route set up in the FMC. I tried using ATC to direct me to Sydney but was unable to make the 777-300 capture the route, as I am used to doing with a FSX/P3D flight in other aircraft. Any suggestions?

    Hi, I was doing the SWAMSA STAR for ILS 34L into Narita RJAA. Coming into the arc on the navigation display showed quite "unrealistic" way of entering the arc. However it still turn left to join the arc. Is this..normal? Using PMDG 77L with latest update, FSX:SE. Thank you, Hoang Le

    In the virtual cockpit, the view is too far to the left. How do I make it a little bit to the right so when looking down at the yoke, it is centered on the screen? I know there is an eyepoint number in the aircraft.cfg file but not sure what to change. Thanks David Alexander

  14. Hi everyone, After updating to Airac 1313, if I enter KORD as a destination I get the following error, "KORD ERR: 10C RWY N/A". After that I can't pull up any runways, SIDS, STARS, and Approaches. What's odd is that the PMDG 737 NGX works perfectly. I can enter KORD and pull up anything. I tried uninstalling the 777 and reinstalling, but I have the same error with the 777. Any ideas? Thanks, GP

    Hi all, I wonder if anyone knows if Virgin Australia uses kg or lb? What does Qantas use? Any idea on their CI? I'm currently doing some flights with the VOZ 77W and after thinking a lot, I decided to use lb for Virgin Australia, but sincerely I don't know.     Greetings, greetings... After the most recent update, I noticed my cockpit sounds are missing. No A/TH, A/P disconnect sounds, no A/P wailer, no chims from the FMS, no V speed calls, no mins call-outs. I've made sure they are all turned on in the OPS center to test. I can hear the engines & the gear moving up/down but that's it. Thanks! Running Windows 7 x 64 FS Steam most recent update/version.

  17. Hi, NATs westbound are active from 1100z to 1930z, if I'm not mistaken, and eastbound from 0100z to 0800z, relative to 30°W. Well, I have two questions concerning this. 1) "Relative to 30°W means that an aircraft's last opportunity to cross 30°W would be 0800z eastbound and 1930z westbound, respectively? 2) Outside of the time during which the NATs are valid, do they function as a random track? Could you use, say, track T westbound in the time between 0800z and 0100z as being on a random track, or at least between approx. 1000z and 2300z, when there wouldn't be any NAT-traffic expected? Otherwise you would have to make a long way around when you want to go …

    Hey everyone, My question has to do with 'real time' flying and "mirroring" a real flight. What I mean is this: Taking the real flight plan and its scheduled times and trying to mirror what they do in real time in the sim. I am well aware that the PMDG777 has its set of performance metrics and programming so getting a 'true-to-life' burn is not necessarily likely as discussed in multiple previous posts. I have found that reducing the fuel load in P3D 3.4 for PMDG777 by 9,000-11,000lbs results in the planned arrival loads of the plan. Granted, it's always a couple hundred pounds off, no biggie.     An old PMDG bugabo has popped up on my 777-200. I am sitting in EDCH, running FSX Steam with FS2Crew and PROATC. After a 55 minute start-up and load (not really, I can usually get ready under 30 minutes), I am pushed back, we start the engines OK, then as soon as I apply power, the engines spool down. Sometimes I can jiggle the throttles, and they will come back, and sometimes not. Even if they do come back, no guarantee they will stay running, and I lose CMD data and get disconnected from ATC.     I have recently purchased the 777. I use 'Panel States' on my 738 and either use 'default' if I want to get started straight away or 'short' for turnarounds. I am disappointed that the default 777 panel state is, unlike the 738, far from ready to go. There are numerous warnings and systems that are not ready. Is there a 'default' panel state for the 777 that is ready to go as the 738 is and can it be set in the config or downloaded?

    I have noticed when airlines fly the over the North Atlantic, they fly a standard Mach # like M.810. Once out of OTS go back to Econ on the Speed. Do the airlines also do this for the Pacific flights, or do they just use the Flight plan Cost index all the way across the ocean?

    Using P3D V3.4 - Active Sky 16 - FSUIPC When i depart the airplane will only climb at 230kts when I get over FL100 the airplane slows and right now I reach FL270 and the cruise speed is 200. Thrust levers are in auto LNAV and VNAV. VNAV mode is climb and on the fms derated takeoff and climb are disabled in the FMS. I have noticed this now with not only the 772 but the 773 also. I have closed activesky and other apps and still nothing.

    Believe it or not, I had to make my first go-around today. Everything was fine on climb out and I was given a vector back around without flying the complete "missed". To my surprise the ILS frequency/course was no longer in the Nav Radio portion of the FMS. The ILS was shown as parked and both nav radios were tuned to the nearby VOR. I was unable to enter the ILS frequency or unpark the ILS. Is this normal, and if so, what is the procedure to restore the approach? In hindsight I'm thinking I must reenter the arrival information back in the FMC - is that correct? Is that the way it is in real-life?
