I'm getting a ton of crashes... Really can't even complete a flight. NEVER had a problem with any PMDG aircraft, but this is a mess. The 77L worked like a dream, but the 77W isn't really doing well at all. Am I alone here or is anyone else getting the same. Running an ASUS G10AC (top end one... I think ).

afternoon all, i've been non-stop simming since FS5 and i always try to educate myself as much as possible to make sure i'm doing things the right way and that i understand why i'm doing things a certain way. there's one thing i don't have an answer to yet. I fly both the NGX and the T7, when do you transition from using the glideslope to eyes out on the runway full time? This weekend i had trips to Chicago, Midway (KMDW) and LaGuardia (KLGA). Midway is such a tight landing situation short runways with multiple potential obstacles if one is too low, so I was outside the aircraft full time at about 500 feet AGL, and I ended up nailing the touchdown spot, At La Gu…

Hi, I have a couple of questions relating to my 777 FMC which I hope can be resolved in the forum. Firstly, although the latest AIRAC revision from Navigraph is clearly shown on the CDU Ident screen prior to entering flight plan data, the message "Nav Data out of Date" is always shown on the CDU screen. Can anyone advise why this should be. Secondly, I have recently started getting the following error message in my CDU screen when entering a flight plan LN:177 ERR at HDG No matter what plan is entered, the same message is displayed. This would appear to indicate a heading error in line 177, but what is line 177 and how can this be accessed and c…

Up to yesterday, PMDG B-777 Auto Cruise was working perfectly, but now, in spite of flying straight and level at a constant speed, I cannot make it engage. I have tried using both the method of right-clicking on the clock and also setting AUTO TIME COMPRESSION to 'ON' in the FMC. Neither of these will turn on Auto Cruise. Any ideas, anyone?

Hi, I keep getting this failure every flight even though i now have SBF's turned off, it happens at roughly the same point in every flight just after take off. Even after ive followed the procedure for disconnecting the drive and bringing the apu online the fault persists and the left engine winds down then powers back up, it doesnt go away till ive cleared the active faults in the main failure menu. Ive checked every thing in the menus to make sure nothing is set to on that has anything to do with electrical and there are no random based failures programmed. Even if i service the a/c before every flight it happens, Ive read the FCOM 6.20 electrical. Ive not done any…

Hi All, I have updated my FMS data with navigraph to the latest 1413 v3 revision. I use the Navigraph Update Data manager to install the files via "All PMDG Products". I also have a KFLL airport add-on (Freeware from Ray Smith via avsim.com) installed which includes the new 10R/28L runway. With my PMDG 737 the FMC has no problem with loading departure/arrival information for KFLL. However with my PMDG 777, if I choose KFLL as the departure airport, I get a message in the scratch pad telling me: "KFLL ERR: 10R RWY N/A". Now, I know that the nav data must be ok as it loads fine with my PMDG 737. Is there some disconnect between my add-on airport Nav Data and PMDG…

Hello, This is probably the first time a memory leak occur in my simulator. I tried to use PMDG 777 to fly other routes and also FSLab A320x and there isn't any OOM. This particular route from Tokyo Narita RJAA to San Francisco KSFO first give me msvcr120.dll error but later I found out that my P3D was OOM which cause msvcr120.dll and Couatl error. I had autosave with Pro-ATC/X so I load the flight again at cruise and I got OOM again every single time after several hours. No 2D pop up. Aircraft is PMDG 777-300ER United Airlines,I program the FMC with RJAA SID CUPID3 departure runway 16R and STAR BDEGA2, trans AMAKR ILS 28R into San Francisco. I'm using newest nv…

I recently switched to Windows 10 and I have noticed that the inboard and lower DUs are dimmer than all the rest in Prepar3d. They are still plenty bright enough to see whats on them but they are noticeably dimmer. I have it set so the master dimmer knob is on and all the individual dimmer knobs are in the center detent so there is no reason I can come up with that the DUs should not all be the same brightness. It seems like at the dimmest setting all the DUs are about the same but as I turn the knob the offending displays don't brighten as fast as the others, The 737 and 747 don't have this issue. It is all the exact same hardware as when I was running Windows 7 with no …

Hi all, Run into a problem today I've never faced before. Departed from LTBA for OMDB, with the PMDB B77W. After 10,000ft the plane leveld and took a long time to reach 300kts. Next the climb rate was extremely slow, like <50 ft/min. When it reached FL210 after much time, it settled there and couldn't go higher. Weather is irrelevant as I tried with both AS16 on and off. Any ideas?

During flight preparation in tutorial # 1.5, page 31, I am unable to uplink the route KIAD-EDDM, I enter PFO103 in the Flight Number Field, then press REQUEST, this particular route does not show up. Am I missing a step somewhere, it states on page 8 that the tutorial includes AIRAC 1309, but that the tutorial is written for AIRAC 1410, would this have been the problem? Thank you for any answers you might have on this matter. Jacobus Homan

Hi, when arriving at my destination airport, I'll have 2.5t of fuel more than expected. Since I'm very heavy for that particular flight, this would result in an overweight landing. So, my question is, what is normally being done in such a situation? Fuel dump or requesting a holding to burn the excess fuel? Regards Lars

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I'm mid way through a flight and can't seem to find the answer to my question. I was fiddling around with ASN and when I returned to FSX the fuel value in the perf init page has been cleared. The gross weight has also changed but to -1.$. I am unable to re enter the fuel value from the fuel page. There are no speed and FL values in the legs page either. As a result I cannot arm VNAV. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix an issue with the PMDG 777-300ER, where it just stutters for about 4 seconds every 10-15 seconds, in Prepar3d. This only happens in the PMDG 777 (i've tried the 200LR and 300ER and it's only done it in the 300ER) I have Orbx Global, OLC Europe, FSUIPC, REX soft cloluds. Initially i thought my settings were too high but it works on every other 777 variant so i don't think that's the issue Thanks for your help, Hubert Gaszewski

At engine start of the PMDG 777-200 the duct pressure on the left drops and recovers first no matter which engine is being started. I start the right engine first and the duct pressure on the left drops then recovers. In the pursuit of reality the duct pressure should drop on the side concurrent with the engine being started. This indicates that the start valve for that engine has indeed opened. Also that same side duct pressure should recover at close of the start valve(when the start switch deselects). So when I start the RH engine first I should see the RH duct pressure drop then recover at start valve close and then with the left engine start I should see …

Hey guys! I was playing around with the PMDG 777X SDK today, and wanted to see if it was possible to handle CDU/FMS button clicks to see if it was possible to sync up two cdus on two different computers. However, I quickly realized that there was no way to get button clicks from the CDU. I could only press the buttons from the program. Is there any intention in the future to add the ability to handle events and not just call them? This would be useful, not only for the CDU, but also for other buttons, to avoid having to poll.

Hi In the process of installing add-on aircraft into my FSX-SE, I managed to get a "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files" folder and a "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Flight Simulator X - Steam Edition Files" folder as well. My installation is single and I have not installed FSX before on this computer, only FSX-SE. Most of the files from other add-ons have gone into the first folder. When I try to get the B777 wx.pln file using the Route request, etc, it generates the file and puts it into the second folder. However, Active Sky Next, insists on trying to read it from the first folder. I realise I can manually input the file into ASN, but it would be …

Dear Pilots: Today I was flying from KEWR to OMSJ and used a NAT track, so I entered speed and altitude restrictions like the ones explained in the tutorial 1.5. NEEKO .83/320S .... SOVED E/ However, once you have crossed SOVED, the VNAV page functionality is not the same as before: normally, you can choose LRC, or enter a Speed or Mach value in the magenta altitude cipher. This cipher then gets replaced by the dialled Mach number on grey, the values on LEGS page adapt and you can choose to execute the new speed value or not. I did this before crossing the North Atlantic, and it worked as normal. After crossing the pond, e…

I've just purchased and installed the 777. Everything works just fine with the exception of when I land and turn off the A/P a "Horn" starts to blow and I can't seem to turn it off. This happens also when I'm on approach and take over manually or autoland and disconnect the the A/P. So obviously I'm missing something.

I have recently upgraded to P3D v3.4 and newest 777. I initially thought that the rocking I saw was due to EZCA EZdok but it seems that it isn't. Basically, the aircraft would be violently rocking up, down, left and right thought out the whole flight. The aircraft would also have a problem keeping altitude. Weather does not seem to be the cause either. When flying though 25 or 75 knot winds, the rocking would stay the same. Altitudes also wouldn't have an effect since the violent rocking would start right after departure from an airport. Is this usual? Does anybody else have these rocking motions during flight? Can anyone recommend what to check or do to solve this?

hello guys, ive been noticing as ive been on final on the 777 with auto pilot disengaged, everything looks fine the aircraft just feels so nose heavy and when i pull the yoke back it takes forever to lift the nose and it feels like im siking into the ground and then my ils just gets messed up. i use pfpx and set all my weights correctly into the fmc before the flight all the calculations seems correct as they match up i set the trim for takeoff as it gives in the "takeoff page". is there something that im missing to setup on approach?. i have also reduced my speed down to "ref" speed on apprach and that seems all fine im not going to fast or slow and …

Hello everyone, I have a slight issue with the 777 and its radio altimeter. I was on approach to runway 16R at YSSY, and at about 200 feet AGL, the aircraft suddenly idled as if I was commencing my flare. The 777 AT system automatically idles thrust at 25 feet AGL (or maybe it's 20), and it looks as if the idle command was prompted by a false radio altimeter reading of 20 feet when I was really still about 200 feet above the ground. Perhaps it was a building or a tree that caused the false reading. I have my settings maxed out, so it seems reasonable to believe that a ground object is causing this premature idle, which in turn ruins the rest of the approach. Anyone e…
