PMDG 777

I have problem with the cdu.Every time I start entering flight info into cdu it will freeze exactly at entering the cost index.Is anyone else having the same problem?How can this be fixed?

I am reading the contents of Lvar 'ngx_SPDwindow' so I can display the aircraft's speed on an LED display in my control panel. This works fine for the 737, for both knots and mach speeds. However, for the 777, knots speed is fine, but the mach speed always returns me a value of '1', instead of say '.834'. I have also tried reading offset 0x6540, but I am unable to make sense of the values there. Any ideas? Chris.

As I am writing this, my aircraft will not start up regardless of apu on or not, i suspect that i have ran out fuel, as i arrived to gate with about 2,000 lbs of fuel, but i forgot to hook up GPU so i was on APU for whole time, i leave for an hour, and all the displays are off, and i cant start any of them up, not even the FMC to get ground power, did i run my airrcaft our of gas? I cant even start any engines

Hi, I've downloaded the full PMDG 777-200LRF Base Package.exe today and have just installed FSX SE. When I run the installer I receive: Your registry does not show a valid FSX installation location (Windows 8.1 64bit) Am I missing something obvious? Many thanks for any help :smile:

Just wondering if there was a list of liverys available somewhere? I was looking at picking this up and just wondered what others it came with other then the plane. I know Eithad and Swiss Air has some cool ones for 300ER didnt know if they were included.

Hi, I am working through Tutorial 1.5 (yet again!) and have got to Page #38, with more success than ever before. But now I have encountered a serious problem. Here's where I am at:- Page 38:- - Remove CHOCKS, this disconnects AIR and GPU. (APU is running) - Run the BEFORE START checklist. But I cannot change anything on the ECL, because the control panel on the FO’s side of the glareshield has become inoperable - so have all the knobs and buttons to the right of it... Nothing I have tried will fix it. So it's stuck at FUEL. I've tried closing P3D v.3.4.18 after saving the 'Scenario' and then reloading P3D and then that Scenario again, but the two panels are…

Hi Is there any sort of physical damage modelled in the 777? The reason I ask is after taxying out at the departure airports, with no problem, followed by a 8hr flight I had quite a "firm" landing at the destination. After landing I noticed as I slowed down I was needing to keep excessive left rudder to maintain a straight taxy. There was only a light wind so it wasn't crosswind influence. Once clear of the runway and cleaned up I started to try and find out why I was having such difficulty but failed to isolate the cause. To taxy straight needed nearly half deflection left steering. Hi all, Question. I bought a disk version of the PMDG 777-200LR via the Aerosoft store. It installed perfectly and no problems except that the PMDG Operations Centre tells me there´s an update, but I´m unable to download it via the Operations Centre. If I download it via the PMDG site it won´t let me (because I didn´t directly purchase it with them?). Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Kim de Groote

Hi, lately it happens that in some flights the airplane has excessive fuel consumption. When I takeoff, I have 12000kg of estimated fuel on destination. But after taking off, that number drops 0,1kg every 4 or 5 minutes. I use PFPX, I load the winds to the legs page via the uplink, so I don´t know what could be wrong. Thanks,

Hi All, In have an issue, recently, I have lost the rattle and the cockpit noises we get during taxi and takeoff role. Not able to pinpoint what setting I may have touched for these to go away. I would like to get them back as it adds realism. Thanks

By God...does the 777 climb when you're light on cargo and pax. I love it. Blasting across southern Europe - destination EGKK and have just reached cruise alt - FL400 in 7 minutes flat. I love this aircraft.

Who's up for the 16 hour flight that Qatar Airways just started? I think I may give it a shot. 16 hours in a metal tube doesn't sound like much fun to me though. Glad I can do it virtually.

I have a weird oddity with my 777. There seems to be no sound playing while using the external gpu cart. I have power from the cart, just no sound. Strange that the air start and air conditioning external engine sound plays but not the gpu. I have not modified anything or removed files. Anyone have a fix or know of this issue? Thanks.

Since last Monday, I have been having this problem where my Saitek Pro Flight yoke, throttle quadrant, and rudder pedals are not functional in P3D and the PMDG 777. I have bought FSUPIC and setup my Caranado TBM 850 up perfectly with it, with minor troubles here and there. The PMDG 777 is not the same. I have tried updating P3D, reinstalling the 777, as well as FSUPIC, to no avail. I have setup all of my axis's in the axis assignment tab for all of my controls, but when I go to the joystick calibration tab in FSUPIC, it does not recognize the mixture. when I go to assign multiple mixtures to one lever, it does not recognize the lever either, even though I assigned an axi…

Hello everyone, I was flying from KLAX to VHHH and had loaded in a route before T/O. Everything was working fine until I saw that the route I had loaded was not the most efficient due to strong Pacific Winds. I went back to simbrief and reset a new route unchecking plan stepclimbs. When I went into the route page and requested a new route, everything loaded fine except for the VNAV data. The route was there and I could change the altitude in the VNAV cruise page, but none of the data was on the route. The Perf init page was still in order, but I couldn't arm VNAV. I posted this prevously but I probably should have put it in this section. I have not used a simulator for about a year and a half as I am working on getting a new PC (hopefully by July). I have some experience with complex aircraft back when I was using fs9 such as the pmdg md-11, ifly 737, and the maddog md80. I know the basics (how to use the fmc for example) and know how to use pfpx. what I didn't learn where things like the cockpit flows and procedures for starting the engines. surprisingly the one exception to that would be the maddog md-80. it took a bit of time, but back when I was using it, I knew how to start up the aircraft, and fly a flight plan all the wa…

It's been awhile since flying the 777, so took the plunge for a x-country run using FSCaptain. All was perfect until at the last moment I decided to let the plane land itself. 'LANDING 3' was displaying as she was locked on to the glideslope, but clearly the plane didn't flare at all, and crashed into the deck. Yes, the gear was down! Altimeter was set! What do you think happened? I'm rusty on the 777 so must have done something wrong in a big way. I always land planes myself just for fun though I think that with these in the real world the planes land themselves.
