PMDG 777

Hi folks, the Aviation Herald reports today that February 01 Swiss LX40 ZRH-LAX 773 suffered an automatic engine shut down and diverted to Frobisher Bay. A 'Jetman' comments that only a double channel EEC failure or system feedback disagree can trigger the shut down. 1. Not being at home right now I have to check later on whether we can simulated the condition... 2. Would the same fault on the other engine leave the crew without thrust, or can this happen only on one side?

Hello everyone, Waiting for 747-8 so meanwhile I just purchased 300 expansion for the 777. Does this expansión include specific manuals or the only manuals available are included in base package? Is this expansion just visual or is simulated as the 200 is? I mean, is not like the 747-8 V2 that was just visual model? Thanks very much.

To PMDG This question may have been asked already but i couldnt find an answer. Now that the 747 v3 is complete, has there been, or is there plans to release the the Triple 7 in the other aircraft and engine models? And would this be a simple update, or a paid upgrade? Thanks. Marc cain

Evening, I have just purchased the 777-300ER extension package, and is i've gone to install it an error message has popped up, stating the following... "PMDG 777-200LR/F Base package for FSX, Version 1.10.7025 or later required before you may install this expansion. Please update your 777 before installing this product." Having tried to update the 777 on numerous occasions over the last couple of months, a notepad message always pops-up in the PMDG operations center saying 'this update is not yet available, we are working on a solution for CD/DVD customers'; This means at present the money spent on the expansion pack is a waste as Im unable to install the package as…

My issue on screenshot below - any ideas why the discrepancy? Temperatures matches each other so why such big delta? Due to that issue all values I get from TOPCAT are always different than what I get in triple 7 FMC (regardless if it's TO/DTO or temp way of reducing thrust. is it clearly a TOPCAT issue considering default % value in TOPCAT for full thrust is 96.0?

Hello I'm wondering if there will be a complete SDK for the 777 just like the NGX with annunciators etc as I'm building a home cockpit based on PMDG and if anyone has had any luck networking it on another pc for displays etc ? Jammur

I downloaded the latest PMDG P3D B777-200 basepack from the pmdg-site. After extracting and executing the file, my MalwareBytes told me it contained ransomware and placed it in quarantaine. So not able to install it. Malwarebytes also deleted the installation file. What to do?

Hello! So I got the 777 and 77W expansion a year ago and have been flying it every day but the area I have so much trouble with is landing with the autothrottle on. Every time I try to land my speed goes way below vref even when I set it about 10 knots above, expecting this behavior; and then I see 3 reds on the PAPIs and I have to turn off the autothrottle and set max power to climb out of that situation. I understand in a situation like this in real life it would be a go around no questions asked but when I am stabilized on final I turn off the auto pilot and hand fly it with tiny corrections following the flight director, but then as I am pulling all the way back on my…

I have downloaded FSX from steam with Cargo pack and UPS livery. When FSX is started and the aircraft is loaded and opened, one sees the terminal and the very upper part of the instrument panel and that is it no matter what other keys are clicked. Hi, I am currently enroute KSFO - RCTP, 777-300, during my start up I found out the magenta line flickering in Navigation Display, here is the video of it, you can see it happens on both ND Taking off Runway 10R KSFO,SID FOGGG2. The taxi light does not show up, in VC and also the exterior view. It showed up on my previous flight, and I have not touch anything with FSX:SE, I believed I am still using default spotlight.bmp since I have not touch it and does not have REX installed. I wonder if this is PMDG aircraft issue or the airport? About 2 hours away from RCTP and will check again after landing. Using FSX:SE, ASN+ASCA+Chaseplane, Flightbeam KSFOHD. …

When I Try to use the Operations Center to install a livery, Windows cannot find PMDG Operations Center.exe. I have done a local search and the file is not found. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know of an addon or a way to get a cargo loader for cargo aircraft such as the 777F? Something that would load into the main cargo door rather than the default (or GSX in my case) going into the lower doors as they do for every aircraft Thanks Tom Hanstock

Hi, I realized in recent weeks that time compression function in the PMDG 777 (never mind the model) is not doing its job (I.E. - compress the time) when the A/C goes through turbulent air. I am using AS16 and one can see the turbulence level in the map mode of AS16. I am also using EZCA2 and per recommendation of EZCA2 reduced the level of turbulence In AS16 options to 35. Still, time compression stops compressing once in turbulent air. Any ideas? suggestions? Can anybody comment on that and whats behind it? Thanks Benny K

My question is for the Dev. team really, who know this aircraft better than anyone. I noticed that on N2331U when I went to see it in person, the static ports on the fuselage were white (see below). So I painted my plane in that variable. But in a recent video I just saw of the aircraft landing in Tokyo, they are now dark! Hi everyone! So i've noticed a problem I have been having recently. When I am on final doing an ILS approach, and on final/short final, my autothrottle is not holding my selected speed. The speed decreases and the aircraft has to compensate by pitching it's nose up. I have the speed selected in the MCP and also the A/T button clicked (green light illuminating). Curious to know what could be causing this problem? It happens almost on all my flights. My A/T Manual Override in the FMC is set to NEVER. As it dereases speed, the PFD reads SPD at the top right. Dear sir, After searching around the topics and sticky threads i could not find the solution to my issue. I have been able to install 2 liverys, after an update i can't install any more. The operations center tells me the following: "Please note: You have installed a version of this pmdg product in FSX:SE which means.........etc) I don't see anything else. Could you help me? Hello all, What do you guys think of the principle of data link function in PMDG 777. When I flied FSX, I used to use it with Active Sky in my every flight to get wind data and descent forecast. Here is my understanding of how the function works: I selected departure runway and SID, MANUALLY entered the route WITHOUT selecting STAR. When I clicked WIND DATA REQUEST in RTE DATA page, it seemed that a RTE file was automatically generated in documents/P3D v3 files/ by the 777 which was then read by AS16. After that, AS16 acknowledged my route by reading that RTE file, and created a WX file containing wind data of waypoints in PMDG/WX folder. The FMC load…

Hi everyone So I have quite a few hours built up now on the NGX so I decided to buy both the 777-200 and the 777-300 expansion. Hallo Pilots, i have a Problem with reactivate my 777. Last Night my Windows 10 made a big update, after that i had all reactivate my PMDG 737 and 777. No Problem by the 737 NGX but when i start der 777 a Window open and ask me for the code, i enter that a Notification comes that all its finde with that. But nothing is fine.... all Knobs and FMC and Gear not Work. All is Black. When i Start the P3D again he ask me again for the Key. A new Install of the 777 was no change. Any ideas? Hi there, Yesterday when I started my Prepar3d v2.5 + PDMG 777 the control column didn't move according to my joystick. Pedals and throttle were fine. (The prepar3d default aircraft were also fine) First I thought the problem was the joystick, but after a while I found out the control surfaces on the outside view moved and worked well. And it was possible to fly the aircraft. Yesterday my Win 8 PC did a major automatic update. Perhaps the problem is related to that, but I'm not sure. Had anyone have a similar experience, or perhaps even a solution? Brgds, Chris

Hi I was enacting QFA7557 from PANC to KORD One hour into the flight at FLT370 "Low fuel temperature" sign popped up. Checklist idicates to increase speed or descend to a lower altitude. Increasng speed did not do it. I descended to FLT330 and that did not do it. The sign stayed on until landing at KORD 6 hours later. Is there another solution to this. and how low temperature may affect the flight/Aircraft? Just curious Thanks Bill

Hi All I have been advised by a well-respected forum member to post this in the hope that I can get an answer. I have read the rule regarding screen shots, but the screen shots forum seems to be for stunning images, of which mine is certainly not - in short my B777 is missing the nosewheel when viewed from the side, and has part of the fan showing underneath the aircraft. Having said all that, I am doubtful that my attachment has actually attached ! My OS is Windows 7 Professional, 64bit and FSX + Acceleration. My Anti-virus software was set to exclude the installation as per the suggestion in the Manuals Any help is appreciated Paul Jennings

For some reason I get an error everytime I'll try to open the operation center. 3 reinstalls done and still the same problem :( I just want to use the OC to install a livery so is there any way to install that ptp file without the OC?
