PMDG 777

I bought the PMDG777-200 for P3D about a year ago via Aerosoft store. How can I upgrade my product to be compatible with P3DV4? Thanks for help, Raz

Hi there, I just installed the 777 for p3d v4, but the tilt or pitch, whatever I should call it, of the forward viewpoint in the default captain seat vc seems pitched too high compared to the one in v3 for some reason. Can I change it so it looks down a bit more by default? I forgot how, and I can't seem to find any threads that explain how to do it. When I go into the aircraft.cfg I don't see a camera definition for the captain seat, so I'm not sure which one to edit. Thanks for all of your hard work over there, John

Hello, I just experienced a CTD while using the 77F, and wanted to inquire if anyone else has had a similar issue. Flight was a very long KMEM-OMDB and the CTD happened roughly 12 hours into the 13 hour flight. I sat down to get ready for TOD, and as I turned on the Dome Light the sim immediately crashed to desktop. No "P3D has stopped working" warning message, nor could I find anything in the Event Viewer. I did however create a .cab file using the PMDG Ops Center, and will share with Tech Support if they are interested. Thanks.

Hi, I'm using the 777-200 in P3D V4 with latest Navigraph data. I'm taking off from KSFO 28L on the AFIVA1 SID. I think I've been through the FMC setup procedure OK, have the FDs on, and LNAV/VNAV selected, A/T on and A/P off. The MCP has altitude set to 10000. First waypoint is at 520 then 4000A. Just after takeoff at a few hundred feet TOGA changes to VNAV ALT instead of VNAV SPD and I get an FMC message saying 'CHECK ALT TGT'. Any idea why? If I run through the same setup procedure at another airport, it seems fine. Also, when in VNAV ALT, is the altitude target displayed anywhere (other than by the horizontal FD bar)? Hello, I installed the latest update of the 777 in both P3D v3 and v4. I notice that compared to previous versions, taxing requires more thrust. For example, with 210 tons of gross weight, sea level, clear sky setting, I normally used 23% N1, but now same configuration I need to use 25%. Is it more realistic to have such greater ground friction? P.S. I haven't used any outside applications to modify the ground friction. Did anyone also notice this change? Kevin

Evening i recently formated my pc and now i have tried to install my pmdg 777 again and there is a problem saying that i have exceed the maximum activation key for pmdg i didn't know by purchasing this product i should have a limit activation if so then it actually wont make sense at all if anyone had this problem before please be free to tell me how you got your probelm solved thanks Mathieu

I would love to hear the low frequency of these GE-90's with the 5.1 soundpack. Would it be possible to use it if I have a 2.1 speaker setup just so I can get those low frequencies coming from the subwoofer?

The installation was no problem but noted that the 777-200 for prepard3d V4 crash when programming the FMC. Anyone having this issue? Also had an issue with the 747 where there were no landing gears and the panel displays were blank. Reinstallation didn't work, an update in the operation center seem to have solve that issue, I hope.

I just installed the 777 P3D v4 and it wont activate. There is an error message stating I do not have an internet connection. I do. I uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. ?????

Maybe this can save someone some pain in the future. Or, at least, give someone a good laugh at my expense. When I installed P3D4 and had no add-on aircraft and no FSUIPC5 I defined all of the controls from the P3D Controls menu, obviously. When I installed the 777 and FSUIPC5 I removed all of the P3D4 control definitions, but forgot the fuel control switches. That resulted in a journey covering about four hours over two days trying to figure out why the engines sometimes weren't responding to the throttles. I could start the engines normally but, when I advanced the throttles, they moved on the screen and the throttle position indication moved on the EICAS, but…

Hello Guys, I do have one question, I am always Struggling through the Descend Phase as if it not really managed, I always have to drag and adjust manually the descend rate ......... speed breaks most of the time extended and speed takes time to slow down. in the real thing, things don't go that way. any suggestion, any solution, Am I missing something ? thanking you in advance

Hi all, I'd like to know if I handled this right. I got assigned the following VOR-A approach to rwy 26R at PHNL. Now if my humble aviation knowledge doesn't betray me, this means a circle-to-land procedure. Circling north of rwy 08L/26R is not allowed for Cat D aircraft, as the plate states. I did a google search and found out that a circling procedure below 1000ft has to be carried out inside a 3.6nm radius within the runway edges (http://www.rapp.org/archives/2013/05/circle-to-land/ Also note the graphic "... four common methods used for circling..."). I just load up p3d and jump into the vc, I go to the overhead to turn on battery, and nothing works, no switches buttons, nothing, I have no external camera applications, and tried moving the camera position. PLEASE HELP, I don't know whether this is relevant or not, I tried the pmdg 737 and I've had the same problem. HELP thanks in advance.

I am having an issue with the v4 version of the 777 whereby the 2nd (right) FMC keeps flipping back to the MENU page every 5 minutes. Anyone else have this problem or know what could be the cause? Is this selection tied to a keystroke that I may be inadvertantly pressing?

Good afternoon. I am flying the 777 from ORD to LAX after pressing the TERR button to ensure I had it working. When I turned the knob for both the TERR and WX brightness on the ND it didn't work. The displays would also not DIM. the only thing I see happening is that when I twist the small knob the TERR refresh gets reset and it kind of flickers on the ND. Neither do the PFD nor the ND dim switch are responding. They stay at the same brightness no matter what I do with the brightness knobs.

Is this also a feature in the new PMDG 777 that was just updated for Prepared v4?

Hello I do not have this issue with 747 but with 777 for P3D Version 4, it reacts very strange like I am in a boat and it become worse when Rate 2x or 4x even in normal speed. but in normal speed not as bad as wehn in rate 2x or 4 x, just wondering if any other captain also has this issue.

Just installed the latest 777 from PMDG for P3D V4...... Kind of weird... the 747 installed just fine.... Hi, I've downloaded the exterior and interior sound packages from the OC. The file has been downloaded properly, ptp extracted msg, and there is a sound.surround folder inside Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 777-200LR. But I can't select the file in the OC, the program just give the option to "download" the file again (both). I remember in the P3D V3 version that, after the installation of the downloaded files, the "download" option disapear and I can choose then between the "stereo" and the "sorround" option. I can't do that in this version, because the OC only offer me the option of download the file again, and again... How may I proceed about this? I'v…
