PMDG 777

PLEASE DISREGARD THIS POST - I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT LITERALLY 2 MINUTES AFTER POSTING - COULDN'T DELETE THE POST! Anyone have an idea on how to light up the VC just like it is illustrated in this pic? I've tried virtually every lighting switch in every possible config but can't get replicate it. nb: OVHD/CB Switch, Glareshield Pnl/Flood, etc to no avail. Appreciate your assistance. PS: I'm not after the Storm Lighting or Dome half/full Lighting. Rgds,

I am flying from Manchester (UK) - EGCC When FSX was originally released the runways were 24L, 24R, 06L and 06R. A few years ago these were changed to 23L, 23R, 05L and 05R. I have UK2000 Manchester EGCC installed and so for normal operations the new runway designations are set. The FMC recognises the new settings !! When I approach or line up on 23 R the 777 callout still uses 24R. Any ideas where I can change this please ? Trevor

Did someone noticed this? when landing gear goes a bit under a ground and then plane jumps and its on ground.. happeing while on gate too.. (default sceneries didnt noticed this on scenery airports .. fresh FSX install)

Hi All! I have problem with opening the 2 cargo FWD, AFT. All other doors can be opened from FMC but not the cargo doors. When I connect GSX everything functions well except that the program waiting for the cargo doors to be opened. Is this a bug? - any suggestion how to solve the problem? Regards / Biggles54

Hi ! I'm using the 777 on my 5 Year old pc and it works good without a maxed out fsx. Now i'm thinking about a new pc and i wonder about the recommendation on the product site. It says newest graphic card gtx 7 series with 2gb+. A while ago i read in an forum that fsx doesnt profit from new graphic cars and that a 8800gts card would be enough. Does fsx and the 777 profit from new graphic card? Does it even profit from using 4gb of vram instead of 2gb? I thought about buyinga 660gtx with 2gb. Did somebody switch from a 6series card to a 7series card and experienced an performance inprovement? I also wonder about the ram recommentation, it says 8gb+. I thought …

Hi All 777 Pilots, After a couple of test flights here are my observations, imressions on the VNAV and Go-Around behaviour of this beauty. My long experience of FS flying shows that these two are the real test of any sophisticated addon in the FS world. 1. VNAV. Generally acceptable but after the first power reduction the A/T reverts to HOLD mode before reaching flight idle. This results in a gross speed oveshoot. The throttles have to be retarted manually. For those who selected NEVER for the joystick control the A/T have to be disengaged first.(Not realistic). 2.GO-AROUND. I bought, downloaded and installed PMDG 777 plane on 9th September 2013. All works fine, except printing the manuals. In FSX/PMDG 777 6 manuals are listed in PDF format, however I am only able to Print the tutorial and the introduction manual. When i try to print the other manual the word print is grayed in. Also on many pages the word "Draft" is shown. Is there a way to print the manuals ? Thanks ind avance for your comments Kudi1934

Ryan, figured out how to reproduce that issue that we discussed in the other thread about the FMC data being wiped and then reappearing a few minutes later. I can make the FMC do this every time I follow the FMC prompts for step climb. I select the new FL in the MCP. Then I select the VNAV button on the FMC, enter FLXXX and then hit the execute button. Only the FROM, TO AND DEST items on the left side of the FMC will show data. Rest of screen is blank. Then after a couple minutes everything comes back just fine.

I've accessed this item from the FMS>PMDG SETUP>AIRCRAFT>EUIPMENT menu and set it to the Trans Alt in Australia ie 10,000ft. However, each time I'm inputting data for a new flight within Australia, I notice in the VNAV page of the FMS, that the default is still showing as 18,000ft as in the USA. (ie Climb page, and Descend Forecast page). Can anyone enlighten me please as to why this may be occurring? Much appreciated. Rgds,

I have a question concerning the operation of FLCH: Is it correct that if I select a reduced climb thrust CLB 1 or CLB 2 in the FMC, it gets overwritten with full CLB thrust everytime doing a climb/descent with FLCH? You really have to get used to it (besides, it differs from the NGX) escpecially at take-off because full CLB thrust maybe higher than the selected TO thrust, so that engines even spool further up when selecting FLCH change after take-off. Furthermore, there might be a bug with the CON/CLB switch. FCOM states "with two engines operating, changes the engine thrust limit to the FMC selected climb thrust". Hi guys, Just finished an 11:30 flight from Amsterdam to Sao Paulo. The flight went on perfectly without any anomalies. After landing at SBGR, we did a quick turnaround (about 30 mins) and departed back to EHAM. After takeoff we got a warning for Brake temperature (guess they didn't had enough time to cool down after the landing) and after opening the checklist, we had all the procedures that needed to be done to fix the warning of the brake temperature sensor, just like the real aircraft. Amazing! After leveling off at FL180 and lowering the gears for 8 minutes, the warning went away, we retracted the gears and up we went to FL330. Now enroute to our destination.…

Sometimes my ND and PFD will freeze. for example i was in a turn then finished it but the nd and pfd both were showing me still in the turn. When i click on them to pop out of there place they are both updated on what the plane is doing but then going back to freezing when i minimize them.Any suggestions?

I am trying to paint a livery for a virtual airline. I can get the paint on just fine and it to show up the way that it is suppose to as well. But I can not for the life of me, figure out how to get the 3D windows to show up. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you for your time.

Hi, reading the manual ,seems to recommend the value 1024 for Texture Max Load, but the installation of the 777 sets 4096 in the fsx.cfg. Which should be the best setting? I havew been doing some tests and can´t tell the difference. Thanks in advance. Miquel Egea.

Hi people. i have a question about 777 pmdg... i heard about the key , you can put the key just two times on the 777... and i have a question for my safety... if i have a problem in my computer and i need to format my computer two times , after this i put the key two times on my fsx .... can i use the key another time ? and if i have a problem , with key and the key don't run more , what i need to do ? send a email to pmdg central to give another key to me , passing my informations about my purchase....? i just have this question for my safety soul. I start FSX with the default Cessna 172. When I load the T7 it loads with the dark and cold variant. How do I change to the original set everything on running including the engines. When I first bought the T7 and load it up, after some seconds it was ready to fly. Please help. stelios

I'm getting a hot brakes indication on take off, right main only. Yes my heels are on the floor.

Either I am Going to be educated. Or there is an error in the overhead panels of the cargo models. The seat belt/ no smoking signs the title above them In the cargo model reads SUPRNMRY SIGNS. Is that how it should read ????

In all my years of simming, I have never gotten the "your computer has run out of available memory..." warning, now, I get one each flight that's longer than an hour! Would it have something to do with replacing the UIAutomationCore.dll with the one in the introduction manual? Which I thoroughly read. Also, in the FMC, there's an option for "crew alertness monitor." Is this the thing that tells you to do something at random to make sure you're not sleeping? One more thing. Hello, Back to the ngx, When in cold and dark, I used to access the external power via fmc fs action just after i turn the batteries on. With the 777 I am obliged to turn on the APU first (after batteries) to access the external power via fmc. Is there any way to do it the ngx way? Or to get them plugged by default? Thank you,

I was thinking of doing some airport hopping, but the FMC seems locked in landing mode after landing. If I press "INIT REF" all I do is get to the approach page, VNAV won't work etc. I tried putting my next leg into ROUTE 2 and activating it, but that didn't help either. I've tried browsing through FCOM's too, but couldn't find anything. If anyone can help me and tell me where to find this information in the manuals I would really appreciate it
