PMDG 777

So there I was, (that’s how you start any good story) just intercepting the glideslope at KDFW 17L after a nice long, time accelerated cruise from London Heathrow. Then all of a sudden I couldn’t click on anything in the cockpit nothing worked the sim was still running but I couldnt do anything.. What a disappointing end to a nice flight, I seem to recall this happing in another addon plane however I just can’t remember what the issue was.. Any thoughts? Regards Mark

Hello everybody, The first thing i found out, during TCAS test the filled red square doesnt show : The second is, during flight above Atlantic alternate airports arrow with distance doesnt show, only if im turning towars to them: Here is a picture how it looks in real life : It should show the alternate airports all the time with 640 scale selecter,relative to plane position. And the last, even i have selected the FMS CRZ Phase Thrust Limit in the equipment options menu CLB, reaching the cruise altitude the thrust limit change to CRZ all the time. I would appreciate any feedback from PMDG and from You guys aswell. Zsolt

I was wondering about this for a while... Can you extend or retract flaps when you are in a turn? And can you lower or raise the landing gear at that time? Maybe the aircraft becomes unstable when doing this? Cheers

Hi all, this is probably the first problem (actually more of an annoyance) that I have come across with the T7. Basically I've now just attempted a flight from EGLL-USSS, unfortunately it actually ended in a ntdll.dll CTD I think because of AI I've just installed but nevermind. Something that has being happening a lot for me on my flights has been that on climb VNAV tends to linger around ~1-2000ft before cruise altitude. I've attached an image which may show it a little better. Basically at this stage I'm climbing (or was) to FL380, I have a suggested step climb coming up (but it is some 300nm away just before the waypoint ELVIX, so not yet) which will take me to FL400 s…

What do you think? The NGX is so perfect, and such a beautiful work of art, I can't stop flying it... even now!! But is the 777 better? More features? One thing I noticed about the 777, is the little door windows on the airplane are now fake windows, and on the NGX they are real..

Hi every repaint masters.. I have a little problems when painting my first 777 livery. The 1st is the "FUSELAGE1,2,3" PSDs lost windows alpha channel, There's only one window had it. So I copy it to every windows..then solved. But I cant find the way to correct the "VIEWING WINDOW" color. The effect in PMDG house livery is nice. Lnav is having some issue after making turns that it over corrects horribly then thinks its on course when its not even close have a look.

In this NGX, electrical power can be applied to the system for FMC programming and other operations without performing an APU start. I am unable to do this on the PMDG 777. Is it possible?

Hello Captains, I have a little technical query. I have one of the Just Flight videos about the 777-200, and I've seen the captains do something I can't do on the PMDG one. I'm aware that the one on the video it is not an LR so maybe is that. What they are doing is instead of letting the FMC to calculate the Steps Climbs, they set an Initial Cruise FL, the step climb at 0 and then set the required FL restriction on the required waypoints along the route, as per the route planed by the dispatcher. Now with our new and shinny flight planner (PFPX), we can make a flight with the steps climbs already specified on the route. I honestly didn't look for it on the …

Hi, I tried to adjust the display contrast and brightness, like in the NGX, but it does not seem to work the same...??? I can't reduce the brightness at all... no change if I turn the knobs... any advice? regards

First of all just wanted to say that after reading various manuals and doing a couple of flights the aircraft is working very nicely. Did another 4 hour flight test last night and must congratulate PMDG for creating this beauty. There is only one thing that has happened on all the flights I have done so far, and it has to do with the AT no achieving the speed reductions when not in VNAV mode. Last night on level flight the Speed was set at 220kts but the aircraft would not reduce below 235kts and a couple of times speed increasing to even 240kts, similar situation in previous flights, forcing me to deploy air brakes. Would have thought that during level flight with …

Hi ! AFter i load the 777 i set dark and cold and then turn on batteries but the screens never come alive even after 5-6 minutes! What can be the problem? Thanks

Hello, When I change the weather or the time during a flight, the screen becomes black(but I hear the airplane sound) and I can't see anything,( it's not really a crash) but I Have to reload the aircraft. And sometimes I see some cut in the cockpit... Regards

I took a stab at painting my own fictional 777 yesterday and aside from this one issue was successfull. I read through the manual from the paintkit and also I couldn't find any comments on the forums so I thought I would post here to see if others have had this problem. I am missing the N1 Fan in both engines with my custom 777 paint job. As far as I can tell this is the only thing that is missing. I made sure that my Texture.cfg file had the proper fallback references, which it should since I simply copied it from the paintkit. I even tried coping the pmdg_777_misc.dds and pmdg_777_misc_parts.dds files from the texture.common200LR folder into my custom texture folder…

All the videos I've seen on Youtube seem to show the that both EICAS N1 digital values are almost always exactly the same on both engines, including changing at exactly the same time. Presuming the display is showing measured N1 fan speed rather than commanded it means the FADECs are doing an amazing job of syncronising both engines! I can see tiny variations but only occasionally, whereas the EGT and N2 values seem to vary more as I'd expect. Having never flown a real T7, I can only base my question on my experience in Citation XLSs and Bravos, which I have flown... Is this modelled correctly in the sim or is it a little too rigid? Guys, I am sorry to state that my expierence is getting ruined because I am getting very unstable FPS with PMDG 777. I used Kostas tweaks and refreshed new CFG also I played with performance settings in FMC but it's very unstable in cruise it goes to 18FPS than again to 40.. It's just not at like NGX like FPS .. I have no clue how beta testers claimed it to be very FPS friendly It's not fun to fly it any more seeing that fps and I don't want my 90 bucks to go like that. If you have any tweaks do share .

Hi, I was flying yesterday and I noticed some errors in the Emirates liveries. Namely, on the inside of the engine nacelles the Emirates logo calligraphy is backwards. I've illustrated this in the attached pictures. The error logos are circled in red. The green circles show the correct orientation of the logos. This error is in both Emirates liveries, the 77W and 77F and on the inside of both Number 1 and Number 2 engine nacelles. It would be nice if you guys could fix this. :smile: Regards.

There are no indications shown on the EICAS before starting the engines and the Before Start Checklist is completed normally, so I don't think that I forget to set up something. After having started the first engine, I wait for any Overhead OFF announciator lights to extuingish (for example GEN ENG R) which relate to the engine which has just been started. Hi, I was reading in the manual the 777F does not have the option for auxiliary tanks however in the option menu it still lets you install them. Can anyone shed any light in this? Thanks Greg
