Hey guys, I just took the plunge and bought the 777. One big thing I am noticing in the VC is that the Nav Display tends to have a very low FPS. I even went in to the FMC and changed the FPS settings and deleted any FPS restrictions on the displays, and nothing. The FPS in-game is great, even better than the NGX. Is there any way to bring the FPS on the ND up? Edit: looks like this is happening for all the displays and not just the ND. - Jon Lamb

Hi folks, I still haven't seen the effects of *not* sticking to correct sequence of switching on ... 1. R ELEC Demands 2. C1/C2 ELEC Primaries 3. L ELEC Demands 4. C1/C2 AIR Demands and the other way round 4-3-2-1 to switch them off. FCOMv1 reads on page NP.21.29: 'Pressurize the right system first to prevent fluid transfer between systems.' Is this modelled? The synoptics does show a connection?! Thanx in advance.

Hey everyone, I'm having a weird time with my approaches in KPAE. The first approach, the plane found the frequency and course and landed perfectly. The second approach, it either didn't capture the correct frequency or it did a wrong one with a certain course set as 000. I've ran a quick search in the manuals for "ils error" but I didn't find anything. To be specific, the ILS FREQ ERROR message comes in my fmc. The only difference I can think of is that the time it failed the aircraft was started from cold and dark panel state. Am I missing something simple?

Hi All----- I am writing this post to find out if anyone has any information on how to fix the problem of aircraft textures not displaying when running FS X after the installation of the new PMDG Boeing 777 add-on. The only way that I can seem to get my simulator to display any aircraft textures post the installation of the new 777 is by first letting the simulator fly the little hang glider airplane after startup then moving the airplane to where I want to fly and then installing whatever aircraft it is that I wish to fly--- this is extremely tedious and on top of the tedium is the fact that it doesn’t always work. Hi guys i have 2 issues to talk about first, i dont know if this is a problem in FSX or no but when i fly in dawn or sunset, the taxi lights and landing lights never show on the ground while taxing, the strange thing is sometimes they show up in the middle of the day, but why not daw or sunset? second, i also dont know if its fsx restriction, but why the strobe lights dont illuminate on the ground from inside the cockpit? that was in the ngx tho, its nice to see the strobe illuminates on the runway while just before touchdown :wub: :wub: :wub:

I bought, downloaded and installed the PMDG 777 on 9th September 2013. All works fine except that I am not able to print the 6 manuals except Introduction and Tutorial. When I press print, the tab is shadowed in gray. Are these manuals protected ? Is there a way to print them? Thanks Kudi1934

I want to know which altitudes to choose when I decide on the 4 altitudes to plug into the DES FORECAST page. From my understanding, inputting these winds into the FMC helps the system plan the best time to start the descent and the optimized angle of the descent to use, with the goal of minimizing use of engine thrust. That being said, is the idea to use altitudes that I know ahead of time the engines will be on idle during the vertical flightpath? I have learned from my experience in the NGX that I don't use the last cruise altitude or the altitude of the FAF of the ILS, I would pick the first altitude shown on the FMC legs page below cruise, an intermediate altitud…

Hi All, I'm getting to grips with the engine derates, acceleration heights and reduced thrust combinations that can be entered into the CDU for noise abatement and such. But can't quite work out when the reduced thrust at a particular flap setting would be used over an altitude. Does anyone know or have experience of this ? Regards Simon Grant

Getting this ECAM memo about "DOOR MAIN DECK CARGO" that I can't seem to solve. I read the intro manual and it suggested opening and closing the doors, which I did twice but to no avail. I then went to the failures menu to see if it wa a failure I needed to reset, but the option for MAIN DECK CARGO is greyed out as if it weren't modeled. The ECAM actions for this item seem to be designed for discovering it in flight and aren't of much help on the ground. Anyone else having this issue and know the workaround? Regards, Ró.

First of all I am not writing this to rub anybody's nose in it. I know how things can be taken on these forums. I am writing this in the case that it may help someone who has had trouble with low framerates. After purchasing the 777 I found that I had low framerates. I tried all the tweaks I could find on the net and none made much difference so I set too reformatting my drive, reading plenty of forums and reinstalling windows and FSX. I have FSX on a second drive so I formatted the drive with 64 kilobytes allocation size as I read this was quicker to access. I then downloaded FSXMARK2011 and set too benchmarking my basic screen. Emirates - I have just noticed an update for the Emirates livery. Now i get blury logo on the engines and the engine arm does not appear to be as detailed as before on initial release. Qatar - I have also noticed that on the engine rim the silver area it don't appear to be correct as there is a strange line where the colours don't meet.. Thanks Steve

Quick question. Is there any sort of "Auto Go-Around" mode with the 777 A/T? I looked in the FCOM at the Automatic Flight section but couldn't find anything. Here's why I ask: I was doing some circuits at KATL the other day and I had the route set up to take off from 26L, fly ~3 NM past the departure end, make a 90 degree right turn, fly an 8NM base, make a right, fly a 12 NM downwind, make a right, fly base, make a right and then make a 12 NM final starting at the IF for 26R. While I was on final for 26R (about 5-6 NM out), I realized I had been given 26L for the approach so I sidestepped to 26L without changing the approach in the FMC/CDU from 26R. Well, my appr…

I'm not sure if this is standard on the T7 (I couldn't find anything about it in the FCOM). During VNAV descent, I noticed that my armed speed brake was automatically moving itself between the armed and unarmed detents. While I may be mistaken, the activity "seemed" to be associated with the appearance and disappearance of the DRAG REQUIRED FMC notification during a VNAV descent. Once I was in APP mode, the problem self-corrected. Admittedly, the speed brake was armed early in the approach procedure. I'll be honest. When I first flew her/him I was disappointed. The cockpit seemed so docile and all the automation made things slightly boring. However after a couple days the thing grew on me. The NGX has its' own personality and so does this. What did it for me was the 777 AP logic differences to the NGX. Anyways what do you guys like or dislike about the 777. Tamati
