Hey all, I just ran in to a strange bug. I loaded the 777 at ZBAA, shut it down, then started powering things back on (I've stopped using the Cold & Dark panel state due to the issues with the Caution master light, etc). I connected ground power and some ground units, then disconnected everything (by removing chocks) before pushing back. Upon takeoff, I switch to an external view and notice something strange ... I still have chocks on and some ground units attached! Here's a screenshot shortly after takeoff, as well as a screenshot of my FMC ground connections: Would love to figure out what happened.... Thanks, Sean Herron Also notic…

Dear community, As I mentioned in my previous posts, I bought T7 few hours after the release, but only last night was I able to take a full test ride with it. Im so anxious about that so I wanted to share my thoughts, which probably does not give anything to the community, however, at the moment Im like a little boy who just got a new toy:) My first flight was a short hop from EFHK to EHAM. Yep, no airline operates T7 for that route, however, EFHK is my base and I have lived in NL and I love EHAM. Anyway, I created my flight plan with PFPX, with ZFW being at max. Exported the flight plan and loaded up in Active Sky. Fired up my T7 at gate 33 with panel state "long…

First, thanks for the great plane. I have never been so hooked to the sim before. Anyway, my question is about trim. I use CH yoke and I don't know which setting I should use in FSX's button assignment. I am talking about the button repeat slider. And what is the best setting for joystick sensitivities should I use? Also, I noticed that in flight the trim moves on its own like on an airbus. I thought the T7 didn't have autotrim. And if it did, do I use it during manual flight with A/T on or not? I looked for both issues in the Intro PDF, but couldn't find any info about them. Thanks

I do not hear RAAS announcements when i approach a runway. I have tried the suggestions in the introductory manual. I made sure there was a runways.csv file in my root directory and I also downloaded and ran the Makerwys application but still there's silence when I expect t o hear a RAAS announcement. Any suggestions from you guys would be appreciated.

  7. Hi, Although this is a relatively small issue on the scale of things but I'd still like to point it out so maybe future patches could fix it, and I am not sure if this is just me or is it a common problem among us. Whenever I load the 777 at night at any airport, the second officer's armrest and the compartment in between the rear two seats seem to be unable to load up correctly. This only occurs at a night load up, everything is fine during the daytime. See attached Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

  11. I'm just curious. But the only way I could see was to delete all 23 pages manually one line at a time, and decided it was just easier to just quit fsx all together and restart the flight. Is there an easier way to just delete the whole flight plan?

In summer of 1996 I was booked on a BA B747 flight from EGLL to KSEA. On a ramp at EGLL I saw for the first time that new aircraft with the two big engines mounted to it: the T7! This is now 17 years ago and just since last saturday I have the opportunity to fly that brilliant piece of engineering in my "3D home world" simulator. The PMDG 777X is really easy on my little computer (watch my specs). Flying in Nvidia 3D Vision 2 mode (full screen, 1280x720at120Hz) using TrackIR5, is working as fine as with the 737NGX. The T7 is a big aeronautical joy and can even be a breathtaking experience: that sheer endless power of the GE90 engines makes it really hard sometimes to k…

I am finding with the 777 that the predicted fuel at destination figure keeps steadily decreasing throughout the flight - If I set a benchmark test - If I set fixed winds in the FSX weather settings -these winds are then put into the cdu legs page during preflight. I stay at the same flight level for the whole flight. - The predicted fuel at destination figure that appears once airborne shouldn't change significantly through the flight - but in fact it does steadily decrease as the flight progresses (by a significant amount) One of the many things that is impressive for me and one of the signs of quality in the NGX is that the predicted…

Howdy Folks! The heading knob logic (or other knobs for that matter) needs to be improved. Because this aircraft only offers a virtual cockpit, once the aircraft is airborne the cockpit moves around a little bit to simulate virtual movement. If you happen to be turning the knobs while this movement is going on, all kinds of other things happen except what you're trying to do. In my case, immediately after takeoff, while trying to change my heading the cockpit movement caused the knob movement to switch over to bank angle mode instead of heading mode. At times it changes the direction the knob is supposed to gyrate because the location where the cursor is pointing …

  16. Firstly, as a real world T7 pilot, I'd like to say what a fantastic job PMDG did with this simulation. Just like I did with the 744 a few years back, I find the PMDG T7 a great tool in preparing for my proficiency checks. Yes, they're that good! Having said that, a few points came up whilst practicing scenarios. 1) although the fix page allows complex fixes to be created (eg DXB vor radial 300 at 3.2 DME would be DXB300/3.2), the created fix doesn't display as it should ie. DXB-01. Instead there is a blank field where the name of the fix should be. 2) the aircraft rate of deceleration with the speed brakes extended seems a little too slow compared to real life…

Hello guys, I purchased the 777 last night and took it through a couple test flights. Let me tell you that I have A LOT of reading to do lol. Coming from the NGX, I was definitely not ready to jump right in. She’s a lot to handle and I was amazed how much power it has over the 737. It literally caught me off guard. I just wanted to say congratulations PMDG on a wonderful bird! I'm going to be enjoying the long hauls! Now… back to reading… since my first 777 test frame is already written off…… *Cough* hard landing *Cough* Cheers,

Hi all First can I say what a fantastic product this is.I'm flying long haul again and the electronic Checklists make all steps so much fun. I'm having issues with the sim rate settings. In the tutorial it says that if the Time compression is set to manual one can change the sim rate by clicking the top left Chronometer button to change the colours on the display from amber to red depending On the rate. Somehow I can only use the top left button to turn auto time compression On or off and not to manually change the rate. Some guidance would be appreciated on how to manually change the simple rate via The chronometer Kind regards Jay

Just wondered if similar to the PMDG 747X you have the facility to undock certain panels such as FMC, Throttles, Overhead, Radio, etc? I appreciate that it's an exclusively 3D cockpit but my set-up utilises 3 monitors, one for cockpit view, one for external aircraft view and the third for undocked panels.

  22. Hi all, So spent the day getting to grips with my new 777, wow amazing but I have two questions. The first regards the inability of the engines to stabilize at 55% before advancing the power levers for a take off. I have the Autothrottle's on but advance the levers manually like in the MD11. Each time the N1 indications advance and then drop back to idle! but not together, maybe left or right then the other. This is very weird! I noticed that each time this happens I Eicas message "Doors Auto" is showing, once or twice I noticed this message flash is if it's highlighting some issue with the doors, which are set to closed and auto in the FMC. I use FSUIPC a…

Hello, I am posting this message because I purchased the FSX 777-200 package the other night (September 5, 2013) and I am experiencing pauses between 20-30 seconds each as soon as I take off. I have no problems on the ground but as soon as I take off, it starts pausing every 3-4 minutes after that and it's driving me crazy. It has been happening on every single flight that I have done. I am not sure how to fix the problem and have not been able to fully enjoy the airplane. I have a ticket opened with PMDG but have not heard of anything other than a couple of failed sound tests that I was asked to do. I tried flying other planes including the PMDG 747-400X and …

  24. Hello everyone. I have studied the 777's FCOM, and noticed an option "GE Engines with CON IGN position", meaning that there should be an option for a continuous ignition position on the engine START switches, which would be called START/IGNITION switches. My question: why isn't this included in the PMDG 777?

During my latest two longhaul flights (both consisting of two legs; loving the auto time compression feature!) I noticed this little quirk in the FMC. While setting up the aircraft for the second leg, I manually set the fuel through the FS actions menu in the FMC (not using ground ops). However, the FMC does not show this amount of fuel on the perf init page. The first time this went unnoticed and I kept getting insufficient fuel messages during flight with the legs page showing 0.0 fuel left at destination. The second time I noticed this on the perf init page. This can be easily be overcome by setting it there manually, but I am wondering what the reason might be that …
