PMDG 777

I know some users experienced an issue with activating their 777. I am also getting the message "unable to connect to activation server". I've tried just about everything, forwarding the port 8888, taking my tower to a friends house and using his internet, even uninstalling my antivirus, turning off windows firewall. Anyone have any suggestions about how I could get around this. I've already sent a ticket to PMDG and received a response telling to try the above. I've since sent them back a reply stating I have tried all that with no luck. I am not totally sure I am forwarding or opening port 8888 properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is a PMDG 777 bug or if it's FSX in general, I've just never seen it before. Happened today on a long haul event flight. The clock stopped updating at 17:29. Furthermore the buttons on the clock stopped functioning. I could push/move them but there was no change on the display. I toggled to outside view then back inside and no change. Finally what broke it loose was cycling views inside the cockpit using the A key. Jas

Hi, I've been trying to download some documentation for the 777 from the Operations Centre, but it never does anything. When I hover the mouse over it, it underlines, but when I click on it nothing happens. I've looked through the provided introduction manual but found nothing related to the documentation section of the ops centre. I have tried running the Operations Centre as admin to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

How do I squawk Mode C? I thought TA/RA automatically takes care of that?

Quick question: How does it come that in the PMDG 777 there is no compacted mode for the secondary engine indications modelled? As far as I know, in real world at least the Freighter version is equipped with it. Or maybe I just couldn't figure out how to bring the indications up, but clicking twice on "ENG" on the EICAS control panel doesnt work...

Any ideas why the external model of the 777 is still corrupt as per the attached screen shot - I thought this would be fixed by the HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweak in the fsx.cfg file which I have done but apparently not. What else can I try? Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help. I am running with a Intel i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz with a GeForce GTX 670 card.

I start with the "cold and dark" cockpit scenario (haven't hit the un-resettable siren bug) but have noticed that after going into the NAV RAD page and deleting the two NAV freqs (change the M to A) that both VORs auto-tune to the same freq all the time. Aren't they supposed to split for better DME accuracy or am I doing something wrong? Thx!

Hi folks, is it the correct behaviour of the 777 that it does *not* change automatically from CRZ to CLB in a step climb (and back after reaching the new FL to CRZ), as e.g. the MD11 does? (My FMS CRZ PHASE THR LIM is set to CRZ, but this does not matter here, does it?)

Hi, Just s Quick Question. normally for the 777 are they still using the external power or airlines use the APU to power up the plane ? as I have been noticing lately that most of the airports are not using anymore the external power your replies would be really appreciated thank you,

I have just purchased the 777 and I am getting the message "unable to connect to activation server". I know through searching the forum that a few people have had the same issue and resolved it, but never said how. I have submitted a ticket and received a canned response about forwarding port 8888 and checking to make sure that the firewall is allowing the activation server through and I have tried them, to the best of my ability as I am not very computer literate when it comes to that stuff. Just hoping someone who knows a bit more could help me or someone who had this issue could tell me how to resolve it. Thanks.

Not sure about how much you can derate your takeoffs? I made an excel calculator to help. With the release of PFPX I find no need to make a Dispatch sheet like the one I made for the NGX. But PFPX/TOPCAT can't do takeoff performce calculations at the moment. Until a profile for the 777 is ready, you can use this file to calculate what derate to use. Calculations are based on FCOMv1. Hi, When I'm flying and get time compression to 16x and PMDG 777 automatically returns me to 4x or 2x, my textures load again each time, How I can fix it so it does not load each time Regards, MMR

Just took off for a flight from Lackland AFB to KMEM on Fedex and for some reason unbeknownst to me the Heading bug will only move in increments of 5. At first I thought it was me but I kinda am thinking now its a bug. I saved the flight file and Ive attached it along with the panel state, maybe this is a one time thing but no matter what I do its stuck in increments of 5. P.S. For some reason I can't attach the zipped file of the panel states to the forum so I am gonna add this to a support ticket.

Hi there, Firstly thanks all your work in developing this brilliant 777. One small issue i have noticed. Every time i approach an airport the stall speed indication is 160 - 170 knts with 30 degrees flaps, forcing me to landing at quite high speed. I am unsure why this is so as i am sure this is not normal the actual aircraft. Thanks for any help you can give me with this issue. Thanks , Simon.

I toggled the option for wheel chocks off and all the options of APU's are not highlighted, yet in SPOT mode (even during flight!!) the wheel chocks are visible as is the APU still attached...How can I turn these off--I have tried restarting and toggled it multiple times but no luck. I love the T7 so far but this is annoying thanks

I am in the 777 and I am wondering if the windows in the cockpit are modeled to move? If not, I would really love to see that be added in a service pack! And by windows, i mean the windows that will open to the outside of the plane.

Hi! Before I begin, just like to send a shout out to PMDG`s technical officer Paul Gollnick for his help. I just reinstalled the PMDG B777X, Doesn`t seem to crash FlightSim any more. But if I were to go too much like keep going to the tool bar in FS very soon the whole screen goes black as in the whole flight sim screen. Any advice to help me on this? Change some of the settings to avoid this? My current set up (Just got it yesterday just to play with PMDG B777X in flightsim X too I might add!) I don't know if anyone else has experienced this as yet.... GSX cargo loaders (both of them) only attend to the Right Rear Cargo Doors and ignore the Front Right Cargo Door?? I've checked GSX config, and the PMDG 777 aircraft config within GSX and all seems OK. Any ideas on how to get the loaders/unloaders into their proper positions? PS: I have posted this with GSX also, but wanted to see if anyone here has a clue and has resolved this. Rgds, Steve

I know I can click on the PFD and the window will zoom or pop up - can these be moved? In particular, the lower EICAS screen, I would love have my checklists sitting on my other monitor.

Hello everyone, Does anybody knows why i can't put this ICAO code in the FMC ? i tried a trip from EHAM to SEQU, but it gaves me a error, it doesn't detect that ICAO (why?) i checked the PMDG navdata and SEQU was there. Also i'am able to put it on the NGX, i don't know why the T7 won't accept. Also the PFPX won't recongnize this ICAO code. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

Is anyone else seeing a violent pitch-down effect when taking off or landing? For example, I'll make a perfectly smooth landing on the mains and then a split second later the nosegear has touched down. On take off, the same thing happens and I basically have to rotate a second time. I've only seen this with the T7 so far.
