PMDG 777

Hi! I just discovered a little bug when loading a saved flight. I was at the gate and had the aircraft completely shutdown. I went through my preflight etc. and when starting to taxi I just saw that the NAV lights and the strobes were not working. Then I saw this: Seems like there are some problems with loading a saved flight.

As PMDG does not offer support for the 777 (never knew until they had my money) what can we do now? Patrick

Hi All, Am loving getting to grips with the B777 and all PMDG's extras. I think the ground operations is an excellent feature. I have request to make it even better. Would it be possible to set it up in auto for before landing, where once you pull onto stand and set the parking brake, the ground power would be connected, doors would open and refuelling would take place. I know all this can be done through the CDU's using the ground pages. I would just love to have it all happen automatically, this would greatly increse the realisim for me. Hey everyone, I tried searching to see if there was any existing topic on this question but can't seem to find one. Does anyone know where I can find an EditVoicePack mod for the 77L. It seems that type is not in FSX default and ATC simply calls my aircraft as a Boeing instead of a 777. I know I could technically modify the aircraft.cfg and just put 777 but I want to keep it accurate (and not have to redo my EZCA cameras either lol) Thanks!

Hi all! I have been flying the PMDG B777X since the day it came out (well maybe one day later from release) but I noticed that it can only be loaded up from a default plane----starts up FS X---Then replace the default Cessna with the PMDG B777X. Otherwise if you were to save it as the start up flight, either it crashes the whole flight sim, or just will not initialise when it starts up in flight sim if saved as a "default flight" with the PMDG B777X selected as the start up aircraft. This is definitely a bug with the plane as there is no such difficulty with the PMDG NGX. I think it crashes the PMDG.dll or something like that. As of now, the plane is in the hangar un…

Hey everyone, Meant to post this a while back but I forgot to. This question is more geared towards the Dev team... Is there a way to rearm the doors without having to open them. It really bothers me to open all the doors that are disarmed in order to rearm them. I can't imagine this happens in the real world (Not totally sure so don't hang me if I am wrong) but with the panel state I use all of the doors are disarmed but not opened so if I wanted to ever rearm them I would have to go through the open/close/rearm sequence. Would be great if there was a way around this, for example in the MD-11 every door was mapped to its own FMC button to open or close the d…

Just finished my first long haul DFW-ICN. Everything worked great including time compression. The only problem I had (and this very well could be FSX) was that the ILS for 15L lined me up with the taxiway between the two runways. My guess is something is up with the airport itself in FSX. It wasn't a big deal because the weather was VFR so I just disconnected the autopilot and corrected the approach. I know some ILSs are offset but this was dead center on the taxiway. Also, the AI aircraft looked like the were having problems (driving around in the grass etc.). I have never been to this part of the world. I just bought and installed the new 777. I was all excited to hop in and fly it. I started up FSX, loaded up the plane, and away I went. Then when I started keying through the views, I get a big Blank screen when I hit F10. How can you justify not putting a 2D panel in the plane? I have the PMDG 737NGX and IT HAS ONE! So imagine my suprise when I get nothing on the PMDG 777 and it costs $20 MORE! I understand your all about simulation and want people using the VC, but if you're going to charge almost $100 for this you really need to complete the model with the 2D panel. Without it the plane seems CHEAP/INCOMPLETE like some 12 year old made it on his mom's laptop. Come on,…

Is there any way you could provide us with performance data tables for take off v speeds for all flap settings , derated take offs, assumed temps, TORA, takeoff trim. It just seems a shame to have such a realistic aircraft to fly yet not be able to calculate performance in a realistic way. Just using the fmc is not realsisic obviously and as for derated and assumed figures its just a guess right now unless I have missed something I cannot find any such info in the fcoms other than flap 15 v speeds and associated tables for flap 15 only none of the above. thanks kav

Does this really matters when it comes to memory use and such? I used to go 8xS on the AA, 2x SS and 16 on the AF, but if it will help reduce the cases of buildings not loading and all that after flying the 777, I would gladly put down the settings a notch? Anyone tried it?

I wanted to add Kai Tak to the data base I found this link http://www.vapap.com/kai-tak-airport IT gives me a choice between the NAvigraph and NavDataPro. Does it matter which one I download and run? I ran both..and I think it added the KaiTak to the two files wpnavapt.dat and airports.dat I did all this while I was enroute to Kai Tak..so I cannot type in VHHX in Fix (in the CDU).. maybe I need to exit and restart the FSX?

So if i stay in vnav for the descent the FMC take me at 240kts for 3000ft in my STAR point, what is that? Hello friends: After over 25 years in simulation, I just purchased it and I am really excited about this new PMDG toy. I am experiencing an issue after take off. Both flight directors are on, proper flap settings and stab trim, all the FMC settings done correctly, L nav armed, V nav armed, Auto throttles armed, some de-rate power set, V2 set in the MCP and TOGA switch pressed. The speeds and acceleration on the runway are correct and the take-off is nice and gentle, but after positive rate of climb and gear up, the airspeed increases extremely fast and instead of maintain V2 + 10 or V2 + 20, goes quickly until 250, 270 or more in few seconds and sounds the over-speed al…

Another way to enter time compression is to right click the CHR button in the top left of the clock. I also noticed that PMDG have inplemented a feature that turns the writing green when it is in time compression. Does anyone else have some cool tricks like this? Alex Jones

Hey all, I'm in the middle of a flight, and decided to try the "time compression" feature. Jut ran it for a minute of 2, then stopped. When I went back to normal time, I received a "Low Airspeed" msg on my fmc. Now I'm noticing this (see attached file). My airspeed is much lower than the fmc commanded speed. I tried moving the throttles (and right now I'm not hooked up to any outside flight controls....just using keyboard) but that didn't help. Any idea as to what is going on? Many thanks.

Dear all, I fly the NGX on short legs around Europe on vatsim, One of these legs from EDDL to EGLL using the LAM3A approach which takes you over central London, when I brought the 777 I used this short route to familiarise myself with the aircraft but I always got am OOM just as I got established on the LOC, I tried changing my FSX setting and the CFG file plus removing nearby airport from the scenery library but this didn't help.
