PMDG 777

Hi, I just fall for the 777, the installation went smoothly, but as soon as I run FSX with the 777, I have this kind of surprise the red background of the park brake indication and the menu bar also disappeared, after having this problem, I had a fatal, every attempt to start FSX error, I had to delete the file FSX.CFG to get to restart. Hi! A question for the expert painters in the community, if you'd be so kind..... ^_^ I'm a novice at painting, but thought I'd try and do a very simple paint using the kit. All seems OK (by my fairly low standards) apart from one problem — I can't seem to lose the PMDG logo on the wings, which I have otherwise left unpainted:— I thought they must come from pmdg_777_decals.psd, but nothing I do there seems to make any difference — and they don't seem to be present in PMDG_777_wing.psd, either. So this is a gem of a new "feature". When I now load the T7, the PFD and EHSI displays are just spinning around and around endlessly. Nothing has changed since my previous flight when things were working just fine. I've tried reinstalling the product to no avail. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to any of it - the wheels just keep falling off this thing. The software appears to be devouring itself. :\ Jason Barlow

Having bought the aircraft less than two days ago and still reading the documentation, I was told about Pete Dowson's FSUIPC ground friction mod ("patchsim1friction=Yes" if it rings any bell), and tried it. So far I did like it as taxiing seems more realistic and the break-away thrust required to get the aircraft moving is lower (guess that's how it's supposed to be in real life). In light weights it only takes up to 1-2% of N1 thrust above idle to get the aircraft moving, and if returned to idle thrust, the aircraft keeps mover for way longer than it did on the default friction model. Hey guys! Just bought the PMDG 777 and I absolutely love it! Two things crossed my mind for future service packs/updates/developments, wouldn't it be great to have for example FS2Crew and VATSIM integrated in to, let's say, the FMC on the 777? Another sub menu labeled "Add-ons" or whatever where you access these features if you have them installed? Pretty much like the Pushback feature that is already there. Maybe even have a Virtual Airline "ACARS" feature as well? I'm not a programmer of any kind so I have no idea if this is possible but i'm just sharing a thought that crossed my mind, would be great to have it "all in the box" Feel free to add your thoughts on th…

Hey guys... I've bought PMDG777 on 4th Setember. Initially, all works ok (in the firsts 2 days). Buuut, today, when I went to turn on APU, it took like 20 minutes to turn it on. When I went to do it again, more than that... And I would like to know if it can be a BUG or can be CONFIGURATION PROBLEM. I had to turn on my engines at the blocks to do my pushback.. And I didn't change anything on FMC menu config.. What could be happened? I put some FMC images (MENU>PMDG SETUP>OPTIONS>SIMULATION) All kind of help is welcome... Thanks, Stefano

PMDG Team could you take alook at the graphics on the arm and the engine of the BA please as it appears blury the rest are fine just the BA one. Not sure if its supposed to be like that.. Thanks Stevo

As I was setting the aircraft up for landing, I accidentally feft-clicked the left engine reverse lever and, to my surprise, it opened! If I held the mouse button, the engine would spool up with the reverse open. There were no failures active.

Hi there , I have installed the 777 and flew a few touch and goes with no problems. The thing is I'm planning on installing FSX on a new SSD drive how will this work on a new drive in regards to my license on re-installing ?? Rgrds Jammur

On route from London heathrow to Innsbruck using Rex and orbx England scenery and mega airport Innsbruck. Just passed the channel and no problems at all everything smooth and weather generating ok. Got to say best sim I've ever had. All the exciting things you have at hand in cockpit like checklists built in are just really good and to have the emergency ones at hand is a nice touch but fingers crossed hope I don't need them on this flight but hope to need them one day . Hi guys, I've just bought the PMDG 777. During the installation the installer would had run the directX 10 which has not been installed due a problem..... Anyway, once my FSX is opened and I've selected my 777, a window opens and says "enter activation code" which I copied from my "receipt" after the online payment on the pmdg website. It says that the connection to the activation server is failed and to fix my internet connection. My connection is absolutely fine and I haven't had any issues before with this. Hi Just wondered are PMDG thinking of making the external camera view on the display screen. As you all know the real 777, the pilot can get the wheel view and wing view up on the display screen! thanks

I can't seem to change pitch trim with my joystick buttons in the 777. Works fine in the 737NG. I have in FSX controls the buttons selected to Pitch Trim up and Pitch Trim down but trim doesn't change in the 777. Can anyone advise. I am using a Saitek cyborg 3d. The buttons seem to work with my other planes. Apart from that I am having fun with the 777 and no other problems. I find it much easier to fly than the 737NG but then what do I know. I am just a simulation pilot apart from littlle planes like cessnas. Peter Rowan

Was on Approach yesterday flying for my VA as usual descending on the ILS - LOC/GS alive, then a msg apperars "No Autoland" but yet still descending on the profile ?? is that just Flare rollout mode will not engage???, doesnt really affect me as I prefer to manually land, just wondering as to why this was.???

After a long flight ending with a landing at KSFO, immediately upon touchdown I got a runtime error message and a subsequent crash to FSX when I clicked on the screen. The was my first landing so not sure if it's a repeatable problem but I've never had this happen before with any plane.

Hello all. I'm experiencing a weird issue with the 777 sound when running IvAp. When installing IvAp, I selected the option "Do not support full screen (external mode)", because I only fly in windowed mode, and, should IvAp crash, it'd crash alone and wouldn't take FSX with it, and the application could be restarted without the need of closing the simulator. Having this option disabled means it'll run internally with the simulator, and if it crashes it could make the simulator crash as well, and it if doesn't, only way to recover it is restarting the simulator anyway. When the option is disabled and IvAp runs internally, there's no problem at all with the sounds, but …

Hello! I have a few questions about PMDG 777 before buying it : 1. What's RAM usage in Windows Task Manager in PMDG 777? 2. Is it the same as 737NGX for System Specs? 3. Will it be enough with 8GB of RAM (Including payware sceneries)?

For those of us with advanced flight control setups that really need FSUIPC calibration in order to work properly, Pete Dowson has discovered a way to configure throttle calibration via FSUIPC that does not interfere with the PMDG throttle axis controls. Does anyone else see this occur? During the flight and as the sun sets the lights on the flight deck light up as you would expect. By that I mean the panel lights etc. Then as it gets darker the dome light comes on all of a sudden. When I look to the over head panel to turn the dome switch off you see that it is already off. I then have to turn it on then off again and sure enough it will then go out. Not a major issue but I would like to know if I am the only one that sees this. Regards.
