PMDG 777

Hi, I'm unable to update PMDG Operation Center. A few days ago I managed to update to version 1.4. It was some problems assosiated with "port 8888". I had to configurate port 8888. That fixed it. But now, despite the "port 8888" fix I still can not update to 1.5. I think It's related to "McAffee security center" (firewall)...but I'm not a computor guru and therfore don't know how to do! Please help me! Hi, I have a small problem with my 777, when I save a flight after landing and load it up again ADIRU is not aligned and my FSX seemed to crashed few times shortly after loading up saved flight. This only happens while the aircraft stands on the ground, in flight the problem seems to not exist. Any ideas? Thanks, Adam

I know the limit is 2 (For good reason), but my computer recently got a virus and I had to reinstall Windows 7, i was using win 8, now Ive exceeded the MAX, please help PMDG! (I have proof i bought the product.).

I unintentionally mixed up the prepaired cruisewindinformation txt file with another one which just contains the flightplan in 2 different formats, changed this on into wx and tried to import it via CDU. As i've seen my mistake i wanted to delete the broken *.wx and replace it with the proper one, but it was locked by CDU/FSX. I know this is something which will not happen often, but i'd appreciate to get an error or reject warning in CDU, if any file content doesn't meet the standards instead of locking the file which prevents from replacing it in this case. Hi there! Thinking about upgrading to a better performing system, as the 777 is much more heavy on my system than the NGX. There is a company on the market that customises PCs for FSX ( especially in regard to overclocking ). Here are the specs: Intel i7 3570K @ 4.2GHz Asus Z77 Intel Board Nvidia GTX770 2GB ( no OC ) Corsair 16GB DDR-3 2 Samsung SSDs 800W Windows 7 64bit home premium As the pricing is kind of heavy as well ( around 1700€ ), I´d like to ask which fps are probably to be expected with the PMDG 777. I intend to apply "Word Not Allowed´s" settings, use third party scenery´s, ASE with REX textures, NO TRAFFIC AT ALL. Regards …

Anyone using the GF TQ6? Throttles & reversers working fine, but trying to set the flaps and spoilers is no joy. I'm using registered FSUIPC, latest version. I've tried assigning the levers in GF config both ways, no action and the appropriate action. The levers have a mind of the own. I know how to set up the detents. My other ac work fine, including the NGX. I've been using the keyboard since I got the T7 and have been programming my controls as I go along. Don't know if this is FSUIPC, Goflight, or PMDG. I'm going to post o those forums as well. They are not selected in FSX, but are enabled. Gnacino

Hi guys , This morning i made a couple autolands ( normally land manual ) at kmia rw8r , and everytime i get a land 3 so no problems , bur what does it take to get a land 2 instaed of a land 3 . II had a different baro setting left 1001 and right 1004 , my left DH was set to DH 83 the right setting was set to BARO 283 , and even the right flightdirector was off and still land 3 flare roll out with no problems so whayt does it take to go from land 3 to land 2 , and yes i read the manual . My auto cruise is not even slowing down on turns and am going 1000ft-/+ of my cruise attitude. And almost 2nm off course. And before i return to my cruise attitude after a weather change wind shift. the auto cruise turn on and am going like a roller coaster.

Guys - I saw a video on youtube of a PMDG T7 new AA livery, the guy had a download link but OPS Center will not see it and I search online and could not find that livery. I moved the Texture folder to the right place in SIM OBJECTS but will not appear in the Aircraft selection page. Any word where a new AA NEW COLORS textures compatible can be found?

Just 2 small questions. 1: I did a polar flight ACA15 yesterday, tried to enter the north pole into my FMC fix page for reference. I tried N90E0; N9000.0E00000.0; N90, no help... So I used E89W001 instead... Does anyone know how to actually put the polar coordinate into the FMC? 2: I saw several blue dash rings in the ND of some 777 pictures. Is it called the energy management ring at descent phase? How do I turn it on in my 777? Thank you!

I maybe presumptive here, but on an educated guess it would appear that in Nick's Angle of Attack video's he is using ezdok. Anyone have any idea on what he's settings are? I've tinkered with my ezdok for hours, and still can't get it to roll ever so smoothly like he's does particularly in & around the flight deck. Appreciate any solid input here. Rgds,

I was playing around with the T7 today and I stumbled upon this click spot. When you click it, it brings the "zoom" magnifying glass icon for the mouse, and then it brings up the Captain's ND. Is this supposed to be there, as it seems like a really weird clickspot.

On ground before taking off, when I move the yoke trim, the indicator besides the green string only moves backwards, not forward. Once on flight It cannot be moved anyway, how can I fix this ?.- Thanks

Hi, I bought the 777 and I'm very impressed - surely one of the best addons available! The only thing that confuses me is the fact that I have a gray 'DRAFT' watermark on every single page of the documentation except the tutorial and the introduction. What makes reading the manuals needlessly complicated. So I'm wondering if this watermark is intended?

Hi, I know that this has been mentioned somewhere. but I want to make sure of one thing. once I download a livery from the operation Center. [Not a fictional but a real one] i.e: Emirates. does it download the livery with the exact Aircraft Settings and configuration. so no need to change anything in the config in order to make the aircraft as close as the real one ? thank you

Hey guys, I've done a few flights with the 777 now and it is great!! I do notice one odd thing I haven't had problems with on other PMDG aircraft. I let VNAV take me somewhat close to final. Every flight so far, VNAV has taken me way too low below a decent approach path. I know I need to start manually entering the altitude values in the STARs but usually the STAR altitudes are correct in other aircraft, but haven't been with the 777 so it's been catching me off guard. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a problem with the AIRAC? Oh and while I'm at it, another problem I have is FSX will freeze for a second when the fuel is injected into the engine and the sound …

Just wondered what the general consensus on having a working EFB in the vc would be amongst customers. I understand that a fully comprehensive efb would not be possible within the confines of this addon for various reasons but im talking about a simplified version that first and foremost allows performance calculations such as v speeds etc etc. and additionally if it were possible to programme it in such a way as to be able to add pdf docs for charts so users could provide their own for charts and approach plates this would be adequate for me personally. so I just wondered who else would be happy with this as an update but at extra cost maybe. When using speed intervene in the flight levels (VNAV/LNAV engaged), is it normal for it to display in IAS instead of mach?

I used the VFR approach mode by selecting the runway (not a LOC or ILS) and then selected VFR approach from the DEP/APR page. It creates a fix at about 8 miles from the runway. I did this at both KSAN and KLAX. What was stange is the the course flown by the AP (LNAV and VNAV) was offset from the runway at about 5 to 10 degrees to the right. This happened at both airports. However the ND looks good with the centerline extended from the runway properly. Anybody else see this behaviour and is there something I might be doing wrong? Thanks, Brad
